Description
- 少なくとも1個のメルカプトアルコール基を有する化合物および
- ジアルキルカーボネート
を反応させることによる少なくとも1個のモノチオカーボネート基を有する化合物の製造方法である。
モノチオカーボネート基は、好ましくは、5員環式モノチオカーボネート基である。5員環式モノチオカーボネート基は、5員の環系であり、そのうち3個の環員はモノチオカーボネート-O-C(=O)-S-に由来し、さらに2個の環員は5員環を閉じる炭素原子である。
少なくとも1個のメルカプトアルコール基を有する化合物は、好ましくは1~5個、より好ましくは1~2個のメルカプトアルコール基、特に1個のメルカプトアルコール基を含む。
触媒は、周期系の第IIIb族または第IVb族から選択される金属の塩である。
少なくとも1個のメルカプトアルコール基を有する化合物およびジアルキルカーボネートは、任意のモル比で反応し得る。過剰な未反応化合物を回避するために、メルカプトアルコール基とジアルキルカーボネートとの好ましいモル比は、好ましくは0.5:1~1:0.5、特に0.7:1~1:0.7である。
実施例1:触媒チタンテトライソプロピレート
チタンテトライソプロピレート(2.27g、0.008モル)を、磁気攪拌棒、滴下漏斗、温度計、および還流コンデンサーを備えた400mLの四つ口丸底フラスコに入れた。ジエチルカーボネート(118.13g、1モル)を、室温で触媒に加える前に、反応装置を、不活性ガスでパージした。メルカプトエタノール(59.38g、0.76モル)を、室温で15分間かけてゆっくりと加えた。明るいオレンジ色の溶液を、110~130℃に加熱し、その間に蒸留により反応混合物からエタノールを除去した。反応を、ガスクロマトグラフィー分析によってモニターした。約11時間後、ガスクロマトグラムのピーク面積から求められたメルカプトエタノールの残留量は、1%未満であり、反応混合物を、室温まで冷却した。4ミリバールおよび45~90℃の反応混合物の温度での反応混合物の分別真空蒸留によって、98%を上回る純度のモノチオカーボネートの画分が得られた。モノチオカーボネートの収率を、全ピークの面積(総カウント)と比較してガスクロマトグラムにおけるチオカーボネートピークのピーク面積から求めた。モノチオカーボネートの選択性を、出発物質のメルカプトエタノールのピークを除く全ピークと比較してチオカーボネートピークのピーク面積から求めた。

- 式Iで表される、少なくとも1個のモノチオカーボネート基を有する化合物の製造方法であって、
周期系の第IIIb族または第IVb族から選択される金属の塩である触媒の存在下で、
- 式IIbで表される、少なくとも1個のメルカプトアルコール基を有する化合物、
および
- ジアルキルカーボネート
を反応させることにより、
前記触媒が、スカンジウムまたはチタンの塩であり、
前記塩のアニオンが、ハロゲン化物、アルコラートまたはカルボキシラートである、
前記少なくとも1個のモノチオカーボネート基を有する化合物の製造方法。 - 前記式IIbの化合物が、メルカプトエタノールである、請求項1または2記載の方法。
- 前記式IIIのジアルキルカーボネートが、ジエチルカーボネートである、請求項2記載の方法。
