異なる生成多項式に対し同じ初期値を用いて生成された第1、第2巡回ビット列をそれぞれに配した第1、第2短尺スケールを、連続的につなげることにより形成した長尺スケールと、
前記長尺スケールに対向する位置に、前記長尺スケールの長手方向に並べて配置された、少なくとも2つのセンサと、
を備えた。
[第1実施形態]
本発明の第1実施形態としてのアブソリュートリニアエンコーダ100について、図1を用いて説明する。アブソリュートリニアエンコーダ100は、直線方向の絶対位置を検出するエンコーダである。図1に示すように、アブソリュートリニアエンコーダ100は、長尺スケール101とセンサ102,103とを有する。長尺スケール101は、異なる生成多項式120,130に対し同じ初期値110を用いて生成された巡回ビット列111,112をそれぞれに配した短尺スケール113,114を、連続的につなげることにより形成した。少なくとも2つのセンサ102,103は、長尺スケール101に対向する位置に、長尺スケール101の長手方向に並べて配置されている。センサ102,103は、一定の距離をおいて配置され、一緒に移動する。
次に第2実施形態に係るアブソリュートリニアエンコーダ200について、図2乃至図5を用いて説明する。図2は、本実施形態に係るアブソリュートリニアエンコーダ200の全体構成の概要を説明するための図である。アブソリュートリニアエンコーダ200は、長尺スケール201、センサ202,203、リニアスライダ204およびスライドレール205を有する。
次に本発明の第3実施形態に係るアブソリュートリニアエンコーダ500について、図5を用いて説明する。図5はアブソリュートリニアエンコーダ500の全体構成の概要を説明するためのブロック図である。本実施形態に係るアブソリュートリニアエンコーダ500は、上記第2実施形態と比べると、短尺スケールが間隔を空けて配置されている点で異なる。その他の構成および動作は、第2実施形態と同様であるため、同じ構成および動作については同じ符号を付してその詳しい説明を省略する。
以上、実施形態を参照して本願発明を説明したが、本願発明は上記実施形態に限定されるものではない。本願発明の構成や詳細には、本願発明の技術的範囲で当業者が理解し得る様々な変更をすることができる。また、それぞれの実施形態に含まれる別々の特徴を如何様に組み合わせたシステムまたは装置も、本発明の技術的範囲に含まれる。
Claims (6)
- 異なる生成多項式に対し同じ初期値を用いて生成された第1、第2巡回ビット列をそれぞれに配した第1、第2短尺スケールを、連続的につなげることにより形成した長尺スケールと、
前記長尺スケールに対向する位置に、前記長尺スケールの長手方向に並べて配置された、少なくとも2つのセンサと、
を備えたアブソリュートリニアエンコーダ。 - 前記第1、第2巡回ビット列は、n次の生成多項式で生成された巡回ビット列であり、前記少なくとも2つのセンサのうち、少なくとも一方は、nビットのセンサである請求項1に記載のアブソリュートリニアエンコーダ。
- 前記第1巡回ビット列はM系列の巡回ビット列である請求項1または2に記載のアブソリュートリニアエンコーダ。
- 前記2つのセンサは、同じビット数のセンサである請求項1、2または3に記載のアブソリュートリニアエンコーダ。
- 前記第1、第2短尺スケールは、同じ長さである請求項1乃至4のいずれか1項に記載のアブソリュートリニアエンコーダ。
- 前記第1、第2短尺スケールは、間隔を空けて配置され、前記少なくとも2つのセンサに含まれる少なくともいずれか1つのセンサにより、前記間隔を検知する請求項1乃至5のいずれか1項に記載のアブソリュートリニアエンコーダ。
