Claims (11)
- 被印刷面となる円筒面を有する被印刷物に印刷を行う印刷方法であって、
インクによる印刷パターンを中間転写体の表面に形成する第1工程と、
前記被印刷面にバックアップ部材を当接させることで支持した前記被印刷物の前記被印刷面を前記中間転写体の表面に当接させ、前記中間転写体の表面に沿って前記被印刷物を転動させて、前記印刷パターンを前記被印刷面に転写する第2工程と、
前記被印刷面に転写された前記印刷パターンに第1の光を照射して前記インクの粘度を所定の粘度まで増大させる第3工程と、
前記印刷パターンに第2の光を照射して前記インクを硬化させる第4工程と
を備え、
前記第3工程では、前記被印刷面のうち前記中間転写体から離間した後で前記バックアップ部材と当接する前の領域に前記第1の光を照射し、
前記第4工程では、前記被印刷物を前記中間転写体から離間させた状態で前記第2の光を照射する印刷方法。 - 前記第2工程では、1周を超えて前記被印刷物を回転させる請求項1に記載の印刷方法。
- 一のインク色について前記第2工程および前記第3工程を実行した後、異なるインク色について前記第2工程および前記第3工程を実行し、その後に前記第4工程を実行する請求項1または2に記載の印刷方法。
- 前記第1の光による前記被印刷面への露光量は、前記インクを硬化させるために必要な露光量よりも少ない請求項1ないし3のいずれかに記載の印刷方法。
- 前記第2の光は前記第1の光よりも高強度である請求項1ないし4のいずれかに記載の印刷方法。
- 前記第2工程における転写と前記第3工程における光照射とが、少なくとも一時期において同時に実行される請求項1ないし5のいずれかに記載の印刷方法。
- 前記インクが光硬化性インクであり、前記第1の光および前記第2の光は紫外線である請求項1ないし6のいずれかに記載の印刷方法。
- 前記インクが熱硬化性インクであり、前記第1の光および前記第2の光は赤外線である請求項1ないし6のいずれかに記載の印刷方法。
- 前記被印刷物が光透過性を有する請求項1ないし8のいずれかに記載の印刷方法。
- 被印刷面となる円筒面を有する被印刷物に印刷を行う印刷装置であって、
インクによる印刷パターンを一時的に担持する中間転写体と、
前記被印刷面にバックアップ部材が当接することで前記被印刷物を保持しながら、前記被印刷面を前記中間転写体の表面に当接させる保持部と、
前記被印刷物を前記中間転写体の表面に沿って転動させる駆動部と、
前記被印刷面の移動方向において、前記中間転写体との当接位置よりも下流側で前記バックアップ部材との当接位置よりも上流側の前記被印刷面に第1の光を照射して前記インクの粘度を所定の粘度まで増大させる第1の光照射部と、
前記第1の光が照射された後の前記被印刷物と前記中間転写体とを互いに離間した位置に相対移動させる移動機構と、
前記中間転写体から離間した前記被印刷物に第2の光を照射して前記インクを硬化させる第2の光照射部と
を備える印刷装置。 - 前記中間転写体は表面の形状が円筒面で弾性樹脂製のブランケットを有し、
表面に前記印刷パターンを担持する前記ブランケットが前記被印刷物に当接しながら回転することで、前記印刷パターンを前記被印刷物に転写する請求項10に記載の印刷装置。
