Description

The present invention relates to a support cushion for assisting a posture and making a comfortable posture when a scoliosis patient takes a supine posture in daily life.

Scoliosis, also called scoliosis, is a disease in which the spinal column bends to the left and right. There may be a gap in the space. At high degrees of kyphosis, the thorax is significantly deformed, which often results in diminished lung function.
The curvature of the spinal column may create a doglegged gap between the pelvis and the twelfth ribs on the non-raised flank of the back. In addition, since the clavicle and pelvis are not parallel but twisted, the lower limbs are also deformed, and the knee may be in a floating state when the supine position is taken.
Patent Document 1 proposes a posture-stabilizing pillow that is effective when a person having a body shape in which bones are deformed or curved or such an elderly person takes a supine position.

Japanese Unexamined Patent Publication No. 2001-112599

However, in the posture-stabilizing pillow described in Patent Document 1, although the gaps on the entire back surface of the body can be closed, it is not mentioned that the gaps formed in a dogleg shape on the flanks are closed. In addition, in many patients with lateral kyphosis, the clavicle and pelvis are not parallel but twisted, so the lower limbs are also deformed, and the knee may be lifted when the supine position is taken. In this state, some kind of support is required, but Patent Document 1 does not describe the lower limbs.

In the present invention, when a patient with supine position takes a supine position, the lower limbs are placed at the same time as the substantially half of the body is placed, so that the gap (body) that occurs in the curved or deformed part when lying down is placed. It can close the gap due to the bulge on the back and the gap between the pelvis and the twelfth rib) to relax the tension of the chest, facilitate the respiratory movement of the chest, and distribute the weight of the lower body to maintain a comfortable posture. It is an object of the present invention to provide a support cushion for patients with kyphosis (hereinafter referred to as a support cushion).

In order to solve the above problems, the support cushion according to the present invention is used to place a back rest portion on which a substantially half of the back is placed and a lower limb portion when a scoliosis patient takes a supine position. It is characterized in that it has a substantially L-shape including a first lateral arm portion extending unilaterally from the first end portion of the back rest portion.

Further, the support cushion according to the present invention is located between the first side arm portion of the back support portion and the second end portion which is the other end portion, and is on the same side as the first side arm portion. It is characterized by a substantially F-shape having a second lateral arm extending laterally and closing a gap derived from the curvature of the spinal column.

Further, the support cushion according to the present invention is characterized in that the second side arm portion is removable from the back support portion and the attachment position is variable.

It is characterized by having a convex portion on at least one of the right side, the left side, the upper side, and the lower side of the tip portion of the second side arm portion opposite to the back support portion. The right side and the left side mean the width direction, and the upper side and the lower side mean the thickness direction.

Further, the support cushion according to the present invention is lateral to the same side as the first lateral arm portion from the second end portion of the back rest portion in order to place the head of the lateral dysfunction patient. It is characterized in that it has a substantially E-shape or a substantially U-shape having a third lateral arm portion extending to.

The support cushion according to the present invention is characterized in that the thickness of all configurations can be adjusted according to the physique and the degree of deformation of the scoliosis patient.

When a patient with lateral kyphosis takes a recumbent position, the substantially half of the body from the back to the waist is placed on the back rest of the support cushion of the present invention, and the lower limbs are placed on the first lateral arm. As a result, the back rest part closes the gap due to the bulge on the back of the body caused by the twist of the spinal column, and the first lateral arm part closes the gap where the knee of the lower limbs floats to support the weight and maintain a comfortable posture. ..

The second lateral arm occludes the box-shaped gap between the curved spine and pelvis and the non-raised side of the back between the twelfth ribs, and to distribute weight, relax the rib cage and chest. Facilitates respiratory movements.

The second side arm portion is attached with a hook-and-loop fastener or the like instead of being fixed to the back support portion so that the second side arm portion can be attached and detached and its attachment position can be changed. Thereby, the position of the second lateral arm can be adjusted according to the position and degree of scoliosis of the scoliosis patient.

By providing a convex portion on at least one of the right side, the left side, the upper side, and the lower side at the tip portion of the second side arm portion opposite to the back support portion, the second side arm portion is more closely attached to the body.・ Stable and can support firmly even if the body moves a little.

By providing a third lateral arm extending from the second end of the backrest to the same side as the first lateral arm, the head of a scoliosis patient can be placed, and a separate pillow can be placed. There is no need to prepare it, and it can be used as a unit. In addition, the support cushion as a whole distributes the body weight, relaxes the tension of the thorax, maintains a comfortable state, and facilitates breathing.

By adjusting the thickness of all the components, that is, the backrest, the first side arm, the second side arm, the third side arm, and the convex part at the tip of the second side arm, respectively. It closes the gap according to the physique of the patient with scoliosis and the size of the gap created by the deformity of the bone, distributes the weight, maintains a comfortable posture, and facilitates breathing.

FIG. 24 shows the usage status of the support cushion having the convex portion 7. The convex portion 7 stabilizes the position when the second side arm portion 5 closes the gap 16 formed in a dogleg shape on the flank, and can firmly close the gap even if the body moves a little.

The support cushion 1 according to the present invention is formed of a conventionally known fabric material such as natural fiber, synthetic fiber, leather, etc. on the outside, and a natural material such as cotton, sponge, polyurethane foam, polystyrene foam, etc. on the inside. It is composed of various elastic foams such as polyurethane foam and polyethylene foam, elastically deformable molded bodies such as synthetic resin and rubber, and various other conventionally known materials as cushioning materials regardless of their shapes such as lumps and granules. NS.

Further, the cushion material may be filled with an irregular shape or a granular material inside a fabric material sewn in a substantially L-shape, a substantially F-shape, a substantially E-shape, or a substantially U-shape. A plate-shaped material molded into the same shape as the dough may be included. Further, instead of filling the cushion material, a fabric material mainly made of rubber or vinyl such as an air mat may be airtightly molded to enclose a gas such as air.

The thickness of all the configurations of the support cushion 1 can be adjusted by changing the filling amount of the cushion material and the thickness of the plate-shaped cushion material, and adjusting the filling amount of the gas. In order to easily change the thickness of the support cushion 1, in order to adjust the amount of the cushion material, a part of the fabric material may be easily opened and closed with a fastener or the like instead of being sewn over the entire circumference.

The support cushion 1 may be composed of only a molded plate-shaped cushion material without wrapping the cushion material with a fabric material. In this case, in order to change the thickness of the support cushion 1, it is preferable to change the thickness of the plate-shaped cushion material.

The support cushion 1 is used upside down depending on whether the left or right half of the back of the body is placed.

The size and thickness of the support cushion 1 are determined by the height of the kyphosis patient 9 to be used, but the back support portion 2 has a length of 100 to 150 cm and a width of about 25 cm, and the first lateral arm portion and the first portion The side arm portion of No. 3 has a length of about 30 to 50 cm and a width of about 30 cm. The second side arm has a length of 10 to 30 cm and a width of about 25 cm, and the convex portion 7 projects about 10 cm in the left-right direction and about 5 cm in the vertical direction. Further, if the thickness is usually about 10 cm, the gap can be closed. Since the support cushion 1 deforms when the body is placed on it, the dimensions do not have to be exact.

Figure 0006936294
When the scoliosis patient is placed in the supine position on the support cushions shown in the first, second, and third embodiments (corresponding to FIGS. 3, 5, and 7, respectively), the patient lies directly on the floor without using the support cushion. The respiratory status of the patients was compared.
The respiratory condition was evaluated by measuring percutaneous arterial oxygen saturation (SPO2) and heart rate with a NELLCOR pulse oximeter N-BSJ (NELLCOR is a registered trademark) manufactured by Covidien Japan Co., Ltd.
The results are shown in Table 1. The oxygen saturation was higher when the support cushion was used than when it was not used, and the effect of facilitating breathing was observed. Also, since the heart rate is low, stress is reduced.
The support cushion has a back support portion of 100 cm in length and a width of 25 cm, a first side arm portion and a third side arm portion having a length of 40 cm and a width of 30 cm, and a second side arm portion having a length of 25 cm and a width of 20 cm. The thickness of each component was 10 cm.
