Description
本出願は、2016年7月11日に出願された米国特許出願第62/360,770号に対する優先権を主張する。

固相反応(SSR)を用いて本発明の新規の相を合成した。炭酸リチウム(14.2726グラム)、水酸化ランタン(32.6099グラム)、酸化アルミニウム(0.7878グラム)、および酸化ジルコニウム(15.2330グラム)に250mLのシクロヘキサンを添加し、遊星ミル(PM100、Retsch社製)で、100個の粉砕ボール(直径10mmのメノウ、Across International社製)とともに500mLサイズのボールミル用ジャー(メノウ、Retsch社製)内で混ぜ合わせて、20時間粉砕した(400RPM、1分間の回転後に1分間休止し、休止後に回転方向が逆転する動作周期)。混合された前駆体を蒸発皿に注ぎ入れ、乾燥させた。乾燥粉末を集め、炉中でか焼(1000℃、4時間)して相を形成させた。か焼した粉末を集め、ホットプレスのための調製として乳鉢と乳棒(メノウ、Across International社製)で粉砕した。粉末を直径1/2インチのダイに入れ、ホットプレス(温度1100℃、荷重8000N、1時間)してビレットを作製した。密度は質量および幾何学的体積を測定することによって決定した。ダイヤモンドソー(Buehler社製 IsoMet 1000)を使用してビレットからディスクを切り出し、リチウム導電率および活性化エネルギー測定のために研磨した。図3、図4および図5は、この実施例で作製された試料の特性評価の結果を示す。この実施例の合成は、本発明の新規の相のセラミック材料を合成するために適した方法を限定するものではない。
