Description
1,2−ポリブタジエンゴム成分を含む原料ジエンゴム物質を提供するステップ、
原料ジエンゴム物質に加硫剤として過酸化物を添加するステップ、
原料ジエンゴムを200℃以下の第1の温度で軟化させるステップ、
ジエンゴムを周囲雰囲気に接触させながら、200℃以下の第2の温度にてジエンゴムを加硫するステップ、および
加硫ジエンゴムから物品を成形するステップ
を含む方法を提供することができる。
1,2−ポリブタジエンゴム成分を含む原料ジエンゴム物質および
加硫剤としての過酸化物
を含むジエンゴム組成物も提供することができる。
「ジエンゴム物質」という用語は、主鎖に二重結合を有する少なくとも1種のジエンゴム成分を含むゴム状物質を意味する。ジエンゴム物質としては、これに限定されるわけではないが、イソプレンゴム(IR)、ブタジエンゴム(BR)、1,2−ポリブタジエンゴム(または1,2−ポリブタジエンエラストマー)、スチレン−ブタジエンゴム(SBR)、アクリロニトリルブタジエンゴム(NBR)、水素化ニトリルゴム(HNBR)、クロロプレンゴム(CR)および任意の等級の天然ゴム(NR)が挙げられる。一実施形態において、ジエンゴム物質は、1種以上のジエンゴム成分のみを含んでよい。別の実施形態において、ジエンゴム物質は、1種以上のジエンゴム成分と1種以上の非ジエンゴム成分との組合せを含んでよい。ジエンゴムは、共役ジエンゴムおよび非共役ジエンゴムを含み得る。

本実施形態において、ゴムが周囲雰囲気と接触する開放型環境下で加硫工程が良好に完了する限り、いずれの過酸化物を用いて原料ジエンゴム物質を加硫してもよい。過酸化物は、有機過酸化物および無機過酸化物を含み得る。有機過酸化物は一般に、半減温度が適切であり、不純物が相対的により微量であるために、本方法にとって好ましい。
一実施形態において、ジエンゴム物質は、1種以上のジエンゴム成分を含み得る。ゴム成分は、これに限定されるわけではないが、C4−C20オレフィン(ジオレフィンおよびα−オレフィンを含む。)、好ましくはC4−C12オレフィン、より好ましくはC4−C8オレフィンから調製され得る。
本実施形態による材料は、本発明の目的が達成できる限り、追加の成分または添加剤をさらに含み得る。追加成分としては、これに限定されないが、着色剤、改質剤、仕上剤(例えばラウリン酸)、酸化防止剤(例えばモノフェノール、ビスフェノール、ポリフェノール、硫黄、リン系化合物、例えばBASF製のイルガノックス800、イルガノックス1010、イルガノックス1726、イルガフォス168およびイルガノックスPS800)、還元剤、酸素捕捉剤、光安定剤、制酸剤、pH安定剤、表面処理剤、熱安定剤、着色剤、フィラー(例えばタルク、粘土、炭酸カルシウム、シリカ、ヒュームドシリカおよびカーボンブラック)、界面活性剤、ゲル化剤、殺生物剤、UV吸収剤(例えばサリチル酸、ベンゾフェノン、ベンゾトリアゾール、シアノアクリレートおよびヒンダードアミン)、散布剤(dusting agents)(例えばポリエチレンなどのポリオレフィン、シリカ、タルク、炭酸カルシウム粉末)、難燃剤およびポリリン酸が挙げられる。
上記の原材料を同時に、逐次的にまたは連続的に装置内に投入して、原材料を軟化させてよい。材料はマスターバッチ(MB)としても調製され得る。一実施形態において、放出されるジエンゴム物質は、粉末、ペレット、化合物、ブロックまたは半固体の形態であり得る。
本工程は、様々な方法で加硫ステップを行い得る。例えば押出の場合、押出されたゴムは、押出直後に加硫され得るか、またはオーブン、加熱、熱風もしくはスチームチャンバもしくはオートクレーブに入れて、熱、熱風または蒸気によって加硫が促進され得る。一実施形態において、加硫工程の時間窓は、約20分以下、好ましくは約1分から20分以下、より好ましくは約2分から20分以下であり得る。
一実施形態において、本発明の方法によって作製されたジエンゴム物品は、好ましくは良好な架橋密度を有し得る。好ましい密度値は、ゴムの硬度に依存するが、例えば約60の硬度においてほぼ10−5mol/cc程度であり得るか、または約20から30の硬度においてほぼ10−6mol/cc程度であり得る。

μ0およびβVrは、問題のポリマーの定数特性であり、
Vrは、膨潤加硫物中のポリマーの体積分率であり、
Vr=(ポリマーの体積)/{(ポリマーの体積)+(溶媒の体積)}、
VSは、n−ヘプタンのモル体積=148.1であり、
VOは、未膨潤状態のポリマーの体積分率であり、
四官能性網目の場合、f=4である。
一実施形態において、本方法によって作製したジエンゴム物品は、好ましくは透明であり得る。物品は好ましくは、十分な透明性の観点から、JIS K6252に従って2mmシートとして測定する場合、約20%未満のヘーズ、好ましくは約18%未満のヘーズ、より好ましくは約15%以下のヘーズ、さらにより好ましくは約10%以下のヘーズを有し得る。ヘーズが約20%以上である場合、物品の透明性が低すぎて、市場の実用的および美観上の要求を満足し得ない。
実施例を作製するために使用した材料を以下の表に示す。以下、成分量をphrの単位で記載する。
カリフレックスIR307:クレイトンポリマーズ製のリチウム触媒ポリイソプレン、シス含有率:約87%から約91%、23℃における屈折率:1.519、密度:0.91g/cm3。
カヤレン6−70:化薬アクゾ社製の1,6−ビス(t−ブチル−ペルオキシカルボニルオキシ)ヘキサン。
ラウリン酸
イルガノックス1010(BASF製)
イルガノックスPS800(BASF製)
EGDMA(エチレングリコールジメタクリレート)
S(硫黄)
別途記載しない限り、材料の量はphrの単位で示す。
(d)ゴム物質に(複数の)加硫剤を添加してゴム物質中に均一に分散させた。
上記の表に挙げた本発明の試料(#1、...)および比較試料(#c1、...)の幾つかは、原料化合物シートとして作製した。原料シートを所定の(複数の)温度にて所定の(複数の)期間にわたって、ギヤーエージングオーブン(上島製作所製)またはスチームオートクレーブに入れて加硫した。
上記配合物から作製した試験リボンストリップを、単軸押出機(東洋精機製ラボプラストミル10C100、スクリューサイズ:φ15mm、スクリュータイプ:フルフライト型、圧縮比=2.5、L/D=20、押出速度90から100rpm)に供した。温度設定は、区域1:95から100℃、区域2および区域3:100℃、区域4(ヘッドモールド):110から120℃であった。
上記の本発明の試料および比較試料をバイアル内のn−ヘプタンに浸漬して膨潤させた。次いで溶媒を除去し、得られた重量を測定した。試験は一般に各試料について2回繰り返した。架橋密度は、上で説明したフローリー−レナーの式から計算した。結果を以下の表に示す。
本発明の試料#31を作製し、押出機の温度設定を区域1、区域2および区域3:120℃、区域4(ヘッドモールド):120℃としたことを除いて、上記試験2と同様にチューブとして押出した。ギヤーオーブンにおける硬化温度は120℃であり、硬化時間は2、4、6または10分であった。硬化した試料は平滑な表面を有し、表面には粘着性はなかった。硬化した試料の写真を図1に示す。
本物品のヘーズを評価するために、カリフレックスIR307、RB−820、ラウリン酸、パーヘキサ25BおよびEGDMAを混合、混練して厚さ2mmのシートを得た。得られたシートをヘーズおよびTT測定に供した。結果を以下に示す。

Claims (13)
- ジエンゴムから物品を形成する方法であって、
原料ジエンゴム物質であって、原料ジエンゴム物質は、1,2−ポリブタジエン、およびイソプレンゴム(IR)、ブタジエンゴム(BR)、スチレンブタジエンゴム(SBR)、アクリロニトリルブタジエンゴム(NBR)、ウレタンゴム(U)、エチレンプロピレンゴム(EPR)および天然ゴム(NR)から成る群から選択される第2のゴム成分の混合物である、原料ジエンゴム物質を提供するステップ、
前記原料ジエンゴム物質に加硫剤として過酸化物を添加するステップ、
前記加硫剤として過酸化物を含む原料ジエンゴム物質を200℃以下の第1の温度で軟化させて軟化ジエンゴムを生成するステップであって、プロセスオイルを添加することを含まないステップ、
前記軟化ジエンゴムを押出機から押し出して、加硫前の成形物品を形成するステップ、および
周囲雰囲気下で200℃以下の第2の温度にて前記加硫前の成形物品を加硫して物品を生成するステップを含み、
前記物品はJIS K6251(ISO 37)で測定された、0.5MPa以上の100%の伸びにおける弾性率を有する、方法。 - 過酸化物が有機過酸化物化合物である、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 有機過酸化物化合物がヒドロペルオキシド、ジアルキルペルオキシド、ペルオキシエステル、ジアシルペルオキシド、ペルオキシジカーボネート、ペルオキシケタールおよびケトンペルオキシドから成る群から選択される、請求項2に記載の方法。
- 過酸化物の10時間半減温度が約20℃から約190℃の範囲、好ましくは約60℃から約150℃の範囲、より好ましくは約80℃から約120℃の範囲である、請求項1から3のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記過酸化物の1分半減温度が約100℃以上、好ましくは約120℃以上、より好ましくは約140℃以上である、請求項1から4のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 第1の温度が約180℃以下、好ましくは約20℃から約170℃の範囲、より好ましくは約20℃から約150℃の範囲である、請求項1から5のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 第2の温度が約180℃以下、好ましくは約20℃から約170℃の範囲、より好ましくは約60℃から約160℃の範囲である、請求項1から6のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- イソプレンゴム(IR)成分が低シスイソプレン、高シスイソプレン、ネオジム触媒イソプレン、リチウム触媒イソプレンおよびチーグラー−ナッタ触媒イソプレンから成る群から選択される1種以上を含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 1,2−ポリブタジエンゴム成分の量が約5から95質量部、好ましくは約10から95質量部、より好ましくは約25から95質量部であり、ただしゴム成分の総量が100質量部である、請求項8に記載の方法。
- 周囲雰囲気が酸素含有空気である、請求項1から9のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 軟化工程が押出機内で行われる、請求項1から10のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- フィラーを添加するステップをさらに含む、請求項1から11のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- ジエンゴムから物品を形成する方法であって、
押出に供されるように構成されたジエンゴム組成物を提供するステップであって、当該組成物は1,2−ポリブタジエンゴム成分を含む原料ジエンゴム物質および加硫剤としての過酸化物を含むステップ、
前記原料ジエンゴム物質を200℃以下の第1の温度で軟化させるステップ、および
周囲雰囲気下で200℃以下の第2の温度にて加硫して物品を生成するステップであって、当該加硫するステップは前記ゴムが押出機から加硫前の成形物品として押し出された後に行われるステップ
を含み、
当該加硫するステップから形成される物品は、約20%未満のヘーズおよび0.5MPa以上の100%伸びにおける弾性率を有し、かつ、プロセスオイルを実質的に有さない、方法。
