Description
図1は、本実施形態に係る接合構造体1における接合部を模式的に示す拡大断面図である。この接合構造体1は、図1に示すように、金属部材2と樹脂部材3とが接合されたものである。接合構造体1における金属部材2と樹脂部材3との接合界面を構成する、金属部材2の表面部5には、当該表面部5の一部を除去した相対的に浅い凹部6が形成されている。換言すると、金属部材2の表面部5には、当該表面部5(凸部に対応)と凹部6とからなる凹凸部4が形成されている。また、金属部材2には、当該金属部材2の表面で開口する相対的に深い穿孔部7が形成されている。そうして、この接合構造体1では、溶融または軟化した状態で、これら凹部6および穿孔部7に充填された樹脂部材3が、これら凹部6および穿孔部7内で固化することで、金属部材2と樹脂部材3とが接合されている。なお、図1では、図を見易くするために、穿孔部7を1つだけ示しているが、実際には穿孔部7は複数形成されている。
金属部材2を構成する金属材料の一例としては、鉄系金属、ステンレス系金属、銅系金属、アルミニウム系金属、マグネシウム系金属およびそれらの合金が挙げられる。また、金属部材2は、金属成型体であってもよく、亜鉛ダイカスト、アルミダイカスト、粉末冶金等であってもよい。
本実施形態では、上述の如く、金属部材2に、当該金属部材2の表面で開口する相対的に深い穿孔部7を形成している。このような穿孔部7を金属部材2に形成するのは、溶融または軟化した樹脂部材3がかかる穿孔部7に食い込むことで生じる、所謂アンカー効果を得るためである。そうして、穿孔部7は、後述するように、金属部材2の表面部5にレーザ光(以下、単にレーザという)を照射することによって形成される。
穿孔部7は、金属部材2の表面で開口する、略ストレート形状の横断面略円形の非貫通孔であり、金属部材2の表面部5に複数形成されている。穿孔部7の開口径R1は、30μm以上、100μm以下が好ましい。これは、開口径R1が30μm未満では、接合時に溶融した樹脂部材3の穿孔部7への充填性が悪化して接合強度が低下する場合があるからである。一方、開口径R1が100μmを超えると、単位面積あたりの穿孔部7の数が減少して所望の接合強度が得られない場合があるからである。
次に、図3を参照して、本実施形態に係る接合構造体1の製造方法について説明する。
本変形例は、穿孔部17の形状が上記実施形態と異なるものである。以下、上記実施形態と異なる点を中心に説明する。
次に、本発明に係る接合構造体の製造方法および接合構造体の効果を確認するために行った実験例1〜3について説明する。
実験例1では、金属部材22の表面部に形成された凹凸部によるレーザ反射抑制効果の確認を行った。
実験例2では、レーザを用いて形成された凹凸部が、穿孔部の加工性および穿孔部の均質性に対しどのように寄与するかの確認を行った。

なお、本実験例では、低出力側での穿孔部の加工性および均質性を検証すべく、レーザ出力を2.1Wと低目に設定した。また、走査回数とは、レーザが同じ箇所に繰り返し照射される回数であり、加工性が低い銅材(C1100)を用いた実施例1−2および比較例1−2については走査回数を40回とした。
実験例3では、レーザを用いて形成された凹凸部により、均質的に形成された穿孔部が接合構造体21の接合強度に対しどのように寄与するかの確認を行った。
予備乾燥:120℃×5時間
金型温度:120℃
シリンダ温度:270℃
保圧:100MPa
以上のようにして作製した実施例1−3〜3−3および比較例1−3〜3−3について、インストロン製の電気機械式万能試験機5900を用いて接合強度を測定した。具体的には、せん断方向(接合面と平行な方向)について引張速度5mm/minで試験を行い、樹脂部材23の破断または接合界面の破断(金属部材22と樹脂部材23との剥離)が生じたときに試験を終了した。そして、得られた最大強度を接合強度として採用した。実施例1−3〜3−3および比較例1−3〜3−3について得られた接合強度を表3に示す。
本発明は、実施形態に限定されず、その精神または主要な特徴から逸脱することなく他の色々な形で実施することができる。

Claims (3)
- 金属部材と樹脂部材とが接合された接合構造体の製造方法であって、
前記樹脂部材との接合面を構成する前記金属部材の表面部に、レーザを照射することにより凹凸部を形成する粗化工程と、
前記凹凸部にレーザを照射することにより、前記金属部材の表面部に穿孔部を形成する穿孔工程と、
前記穿孔部に前記樹脂部材を充填することにより、前記金属部材と当該樹脂部材とを接合する接合工程と、
を含み、
前記粗化工程では、前記穿孔工程で照射するレーザよりも波長の短いレーザを照射することを特徴とする接合構造体の製造方法。 - 請求項1に記載の接合構造体の製造方法において、
前記穿孔工程では、1パルスが複数のサブパルスから構成されるレーザを照射することにより、前記穿孔部の孔壁に内側に突出する突出部を形成することを特徴とする接合構造体の製造方法。 - 請求項1または2に記載の接合構造体の製造方法において、
前記接合工程では、レーザ照射、射出成型または熱プレスにより、前記穿孔部に前記樹脂部材を充填することを特徴とする接合構造体の製造方法。
