Claims (9)
- 第1の導電性材料を、第2の導電性材料に電気抵抗溶接を用いて固定するためのファスナにおいて、

ファスナは、位置決めされた第1の導電性材料及び第2の導電性材料を含むスタックに電気的に接触して配置され、且つスタックにわたって加えられた電位を受けると、電流を流して抵抗加熱を生じさせることができ、キャップより遠位にある端部にて第2の導電性材料に溶接でき、第1の導電性材料は、前記端部が第2の導電性材料に溶接された後に、キャップと第2の導電性材料の間に捕らえられ、ファスナは複数の層を有し、第1の層は第1の組成を有し、第2の層は第1の組成と異なる第2の組成を有しており、第1の層と第2の層は、機械的インターロックによって互いに保持される、ファスナ。 - 第1の導電性材料を、第2の導電性材料に電気抵抗溶接を用いて固定するためのファスナにおいて、

ファスナは、位置決めされた第1の導電性材料及び第2の導電性材料を含むスタックに電気的に接触して配置され、スタックにわたって加えられた電位を受けると、電流をスタックに流して抵抗加熱を生じさせることができ、且つキャップより遠位にある端部にて第2の導電性材料に溶接でき、第1の導電性材料は、前記端部が第2の導電性材料に溶接された後に、キャップと第2の導電性材料の間に捕らえられて、キャップは、シャフトの端部に向けて捲れ上がって、その外側の周辺部は、前記端部とほぼ同延であり、キャップの外側の周辺部に取り付けられる電気絶縁体を更に備えており、当該絶縁体は、前記端部を流れる電流と平行に、電流が外側の周辺部を流れるのを防止することができ、キャップは、第1の導電性材料を通る前記端部に適合するように曲がることができ、絶縁体が第1の導電性材料の表面に当接しながら、第2の導電性材料に溶接される、ファスナ。 - 第1の導電性材料の複数の隣接する層を、第2の導電性材料に電気抵抗溶接を用いて固定する方法において、
第1の導電性材料及び第2の導電性材料を物理的且つ電気的に接触させて一緒に配置する工程であって、第1の導電性材料の融点は第2の導電性材料よりも低い、工程と、
第2の導電性材料に溶接可能であり、且つ融点が第1の導電性材料よりも高い導電性ファスナを、第1の導電性材料と物理的且つ電気的に接触させて配置して、ファスナ、第1の導電性材料、及び第2の導電性材料を含む導電性スタックを形成する工程と、
スタックにわたって電位を加えて、スタックを流れる電流を誘導して、抵抗加熱を生じさせて第1の導電性材料の軟化を引き起こす工程と、
軟化した第1の導電性材料の複数の層を通して第2の導電性材料に向けてファスナを押し進める工程と、
ファスナが第2の導電性材料と接触した後に、ファスナを第2の導電性材料に溶接する工程であって、第1の導電性材料の複数の層は、ファスナが通る場所に近接して互いに溶接される、工程と
を含む方法。 - 第2の導電性材料は、第2のファスナであり、第1の導電性材料の複数の層は、第1のファスナ及び第2のファスナの少なくとも1つに近接して一緒に溶接される、請求項8に記載の方法。
