Description
Claims (17)
- 容量形接触式デバイスであって、
1つの基板又は複数の基板上の第1の導電性材料中にパターン付けされたパッドのマトリックスを有し、前記マトリックスの偶数行中の水平方向に隣り合うパッドは、複数個の水平方向に配列された電極を形成するようチャネルを介して互いに電気的に結合され、
各チャネル上に形成されていて、複数個の垂直方向に配列された電極を形成するよう前記マトリックスの奇数行相互間の垂直方向に隣り合ったパッドを互いに電気的に結合するよう構成された導電性リンクを有し、
前記チャネル及び前記導電性リンクの寸法は、前記チャネルの幅と前記導電性リンクの幅との間の幅比を変えることによって、あるいは、前記チャネルと前記導電性リンクとのオーバーラップ面積を変えることによって、局所的に最適化されており、
前記チャネル及び前記導電性リンクの寸法は、前記マトリックスから利用可能な全ての信号経路に関するキャパシタンス値を検出するのに必要な時間のうちで最悪である、前記マトリクスの最悪信号経路に関するキャパシタンス値を検出するのに必要な時間を最小限に抑えるよう設定されている、容量形接触式デバイス。 - 前記チャネルの幅と前記各導電性リンクの幅の比は、変化している、請求項1記載の容量形接触式デバイス。
- 前記チャネルと前記各導電性リンクのオーバーラップ面積は、一定である、請求項2記載の容量形接触式デバイス。
- 前記チャネルと前記各導電性リンクのオーバーラップ面積は、変化している、請求項1記載の容量形接触式デバイス。
- 前記チャネルの幅と前記各導電性リンクの幅の比は、一定である、請求項4記載の容量形接触式デバイス。
- 前記複数個の水平方向に配列された電極は、前記基板の第1の表面上に配列され、前記複数個の垂直方向に配列された電極は、第2の基板の対向した表面上に配列されている、請求項1記載の容量形接触式デバイス。
- 各チャネルと導電性リンクとの間に配置された1又は2以上の絶縁体を更に有する、請求項1記載の容量形接触式デバイス。
- 前記垂直方向に配列された電極及び前記水平方向に配列された電極の各々の前記抵抗‐容量時定数は、6.5μs未満である、請求項1記載の容量形接触式デバイス。
- 前記垂直方向に配列された電極の各々の前記抵抗‐容量時定数(RCtc)は、前記水平方向に配列された電極の各々の前記RCtcの±50%の範囲内にある、請求項1記載の容量形接触式デバイス。
- 垂直方向に配列された電極の総数と前記水平方向に配列された電極の総数の比は、約16:9である、請求項1記載の容量形接触式デバイス。
- 前記マトリックスの各パッドは、全体としてダイヤモンドの形をしたパッドであり、約18mm2 の面積を有する、請求項10記載の容量形接触式デバイス。
- 前記チャネルは、約150Ω/sqのシート抵抗を備えた透明な導電性材料中にパターン付けされている、請求項1記載の容量形接触式デバイス。
- 前記導電性リンクは、約200Ω/sqのシート抵抗を備えた透明な導電性材料から形成されている、請求項1記載の容量形接触式デバイス。
- 容量形接触式デバイスを製造する方法であって、
1つの基板又は複数の基板上の第1の導電性材料中にパッドのマトリックスをパターン付けするステップを含み、前記マトリックスの偶数行中の水平方向に隣り合うパッドは、複数個の水平方向に配列された電極を形成するようチャネルを介して互いに電気的に結合され、
複数個の垂直方向に配列された電極を形成するよう前記マトリックスの奇数行相互間の垂直方向に隣り合ったパッドを互いに電気的に結合するよう構成された導電性リンクを各チャネル上に形成するステップを含み、
前記チャネル及び前記導電性リンクの寸法は、前記チャネルの幅と前記導電性リンクの幅との間の幅比を変えることによって、あるいは、前記チャネルと前記導電性リンクとのオーバーラップ面積を変えることによって、局所的に最適化され、
前記チャネル及び前記導電性リンクの寸法は、前記マトリックスから利用可能な全ての信号経路に関するキャパシタンス値を検出するのに必要な時間のうちで最悪である、前記マトリクスの最悪信号経路に関するキャパシタンス値を検出するのに必要な時間を最小限に抑えるよう設定される、方法。 - 前記チャネルの幅と前記各導電性リンクの幅の比は、変化している、請求項14記載の方法。
- 前記チャネルと前記各導電性リンクのオーバーラップ面積は、変化している、請求項14記載の方法。
- 前記複数個の水平方向に配列された電極を前記基板の第1の表面上に配置するステップと、
前記複数個の垂直方向に配列された電極を第2の基板の対向した表面上に配配置するステップとを更に含む、請求項14記載の方法。
