Description
前記弾性層および前記塗膜層の各層の体積抵抗率が、外周側の層より内周側の層において小さく、かつ、該弾性層と該塗膜層のうち最も外周側に位置する層との体積抵抗率の差が、2.8〜4.3(LogΩcm)の範囲であり、
前記弾性層および前記塗膜層の各層の、100V印加時における体積抵抗率の変化が1.0(logΩcm)以下であり、
前記現像ローラの緩和時間(τ)が0.45s以下であることを特徴とするものである。
図1に、本発明の現像ローラの一例を示す長手方向断面図を示す。図示するように、本発明の現像ローラ10は、シャフト1と、その外周に担持された弾性層2と、弾性層2の外周面に形成された少なくとも1層、図示例では中層塗膜層3および表層塗膜層4からなる2層の塗膜層、を備えている。
図1に示すような、シャフト(金属軸)の外周に弾性層、中層塗膜層および表層塗膜層が順次担持された現像ローラを、下記表4に示す配合の組合せに従い、作製した。
下記表中に示す部数にて導電性カーボン(デンカブラック)が配合されたプレポリマー化イソシアネート100質量部と、下記表中に示す部数のイオン導電剤、シリコーン整泡剤3質量部およびスズ触媒0.1質量部が配合されたエーテル系ポリオールとを混合し、メカニカルフロス法で発泡させて、金属軸がセットされた金型に注入した。その後、この混合物を110℃30分にて加熱硬化させて、金属軸の外周に厚み6mmの弾性層を形成した。この弾性層について、体積抵抗率および抵抗上昇幅を測定した。

次に、無限鎖長ウレタンプレポリマー(N5033,日本ポリウレタン工業(株)製)100質量部と、イソシアヌレート化HDIの6質量部と、下記表中に示す部数の溶剤分散カーボンブラックおよびイオン導電剤と、メチルエチルケトン(MEK)500質量部とを配合して、塗料を作製した。この塗料を、ディッピングにより上記弾性層上に塗装し、105℃120分にて乾燥して、中層塗膜層を形成した。また、この塗料を用いて80mm×150mm×0.2mmのシートを作製して、厚み20μmの中層塗膜層の体積抵抗率および抵抗上昇幅を測定した。
次に、ポリテトラメチレングリコール100質量部と、イソシアヌレート化HDIの45質量部と、下記表中に示す部数の溶剤分散カーボンブラックおよびイオン導電剤と、MEK300質量部と、シリカ(SS−20,東ソー・シリカ(株)製)15質量部と、アクリル粒子(MBX−8,積水化成品工業(株)製)25質量部とを配合して、塗料を作製した。この塗料を、ディッピングにより上記中層塗膜層上に塗装し、105℃120分にて乾燥して、厚み20μmの表層塗膜層を形成した。また、この塗料を用いて80mm×150mm×0.2mmのシートを作製して、表層塗膜層の体積抵抗率および抵抗上昇幅を測定した。
その結果を、下記の表中に併せて示す。

Claims (3)
- シャフトと、該シャフトの外周に担持された弾性層と、該弾性層の外周面に形成された少なくとも1層の塗膜層と、を備える現像ローラにおいて、
前記弾性層および前記塗膜層の各層の体積抵抗率が、外周側の層より内周側の層において小さく、かつ、該弾性層と該塗膜層のうち最も外周側に位置する層との体積抵抗率の差が、2.8〜4.3(LogΩcm)の範囲であり、
前記弾性層および前記塗膜層の各層の、100V印加時における体積抵抗率の変化が1.0(logΩcm)以下であり、
前記現像ローラの緩和時間(τ)が0.45s以下であることを特徴とする現像ローラ。 - 前記弾性層および前記塗膜層の各層が、導電性カーボンと、脂肪族第四級アンモニウムサルフェートとを含有する請求項1記載の現像ローラ。
- 前記弾性層および前記塗膜層の各層が、導電性カーボンと、脂肪族第四級アンモニウムサルフェートとを含有し、かつ、各層を構成する樹脂成分100質量部に対し、前記導電性カーボンを0.5〜3質量部、前記脂肪族第四級アンモニウムサルフェートを0.2〜3質量部含有する請求項2記載の現像ローラ。
