Description
(2)TFTと画素電極がマトリクス状に形成された平面が長方形であるTFT基板と、カラーフィルタが形成された平面が長方形である対向基板の間に液晶が挟持された液晶表示装置であって、前記TFT基板の長辺は前記対向基板の長辺よりも長く、前記対向基板の長辺にはC面取りが形成され、前記対向基板の長辺の中央部に対応する場所にはブラックマトリクスが形成され、前記長辺の中央部を挟んだ、所定の領域におけるC面取りが形成された部分の前記対向基板の上面には欠けが存在せず、前記所定の領域は、前記対向基板の前記長辺に沿った長さが1.3mmで、前記対向基板の短辺方向に沿った長さが0.1mmであることを特徴とする液晶表示装置。
Claims (5)
- TFTと画素電極がマトリクス状に形成された平面が長方形であるTFT基板と、カラーフィルタが形成された平面が長方形である対向基板の間に液晶が挟持された液晶表示装置であって、
前記TFT基板の長辺は前記対向基板の長辺よりも長く、
前記対向基板の長辺側端部にC面取りが形成され、
前記C面取りが形成された前記対向基板の長辺側端部の中央部に対応する場所を中心として、前記TFT基板上に、金属で形成された遮光膜が形成されていることを特徴とする液晶表示装置。 - 前記対向基板の前記TFT基板の前記遮光膜に対応する部分において、前記遮光膜の大きさは、前記対向基板の前記長辺に沿った長さは1.3mmで、前記対向基板の短辺方向の長さは0.1mmであり、
前記C面取りが形成された部分の対向基板の上面において、前記遮光膜と重複する領域には、欠けが存在しないことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。 - 前記対向基板の前記TFT基板の前記遮光膜に対応する部分において、前記遮光膜の大きさは、前記対向基板の前記長辺に沿った長さは2.6mmで、前記対向基板の短辺方向の長さは0.2mmであり、
前記C面取りが形成された部分の対向基板の上面において、前記遮光膜と重複する領域には、欠けが存在しないことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。 - 前記遮光膜は前記TFT基板と前記対向基板を接着するシール材によって覆われていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記対向基板の短辺側端部にC面取りが施され、
前記C面取りが形成された前記対向基板の短辺側端部の中央部に対応する場所を中心として、前記TFT基板上に、金属で形成された遮光膜が形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
