Abstract
Description
結される二つの部材の間に挟持されるガスケットの製造方法であって、一枚の金属板又は二枚以上を積層した金属板のうちの少なくとも一枚のマルテンサイト系のステンレス鋼板に、前記二つの部材の少なくとも一方に設けられたシール対象孔に対応させた開口部と、該ステンレス鋼板の平面から前記二つの部材の一方に向けて突出して該開口部を環状に囲うシールビードと、前記締結具が挿通される挿通孔とを形成する工程を行った後に、前記シールビードの少なくとも一部にレーザーを照射する焼入れ加工を施して、前記ステンレス鋼板の硬度よりも高い硬度の高硬度部を形成する工程を行うことを特徴とする方法である。
第一ボア用ビード30が突出する側の面21a及び第二ボア用ビード34が突出する側の面33aに形成されればよい。但し、高硬度部35がこの実施形態のように断面視における第一ボア用ビード30の全域(面21aやその反対側の面も含む)や第二ボア用ビード34の全域に形成されると、よりシール性能の向上には有利となる。
足を回避できると共に充分なシール性を確保できるので、エンジン10の軽量化及び低剛性化に有利となる。これにより、エンジン10の燃費を向上できる。

Claims (7)
- 締結具により締結される二つの部材の間に挟持される一枚の金属板又は二枚以上を積層した金属板で構成され、該二つの部材の少なくとも一方に設けられたシール対象孔に対応させた開口部と、該金属板の平面から該二つの部材の一方に向けて突出して該開口部を環状に囲うシールビードと、該締結具が挿通される挿通孔とを備えたガスケットにおいて、
前記金属板の少なくとも一枚をマルテンサイト系のステンレス鋼板で構成すると共に、該ステンレス鋼板に形成された前記シールビードの少なくとも一部に、該ステンレス鋼板の硬度よりも高い硬度を有する高硬度部を形成したことを特徴とするガスケット。 - 前記締結具により前記二つの部材が締結された際に、前記ステンレス鋼板に形成された前記シールビードの周方向における面圧が低い部位の少なくとも該シールビードが突出する側の面に前記高硬度部を形成した請求項1に記載のガスケット。
- 前記高硬度部を平面視における前記シールビードに隣接する部位まで拡大して形成した請求項1又は2に記載のガスケット。
- 前記高硬度部と前記ステンレス鋼板の硬度の低硬度部とを前記シールビードの周方向に交互に配置すると共に、前記低硬度部を前記高硬度部よりも前記挿通孔に近接して配置した請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載のガスケット。
- 前記高硬度部の硬度が、その高硬度部に隣接する部位との境界に向って徐々に低くなる請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載のガスケット。
- 前記二つの部材のうちの一方としてシリンダブロックを、他方としてシリンダヘッドを用いた請求項1〜5のいずれか1項に記載のガスケット。
- 締結具により締結される二つの部材の間に挟持されるガスケットの製造方法であって、
一枚の金属板又は二枚以上を積層した金属板のうちの少なくとも一枚のマルテンサイト系のステンレス鋼板に、前記二つの部材の少なくとも一方に設けられたシール対象孔に対応させた開口部と、該ステンレス鋼板の平面から前記二つの部材の一方に向けて突出して該開口部を環状に囲うシールビードと、前記締結具が挿通される挿通孔とを形成する工程
を行った後に、
前記シールビードの少なくとも一部にレーザーを照射する焼入れ加工を施して、前記ステンレス鋼板の硬度よりも高い硬度の高硬度部を形成する工程を行うことを特徴とするガスケットの製造方法。
