Description
(1) 地編糸により鎖編組織からなる経編組織が形成され、前記経編組織にたて方向に挿入されるたて挿入糸として連続した炭素繊維糸条が挿入され、かつ、隣り合う前記鎖編組織の間を往き来する方向に挿入されるよこ挿入糸により前記鎖編組織が一体化された、スパーまたはストリンガー用の経編シートであって、前記たて挿入糸は、フィラメント数が12,000〜50,000本、引張強さが4GPa以上、引張弾性率が220〜450GPa、ドレープ値が4〜22の炭素繊維糸条であり、前記経編シートの少なくとも表面にバインダーが配置されており、該バインダーにより、たて挿入糸、鎖編組織、およびよこ挿入糸を部分的に固着され、前記経編シート内の隣り合うたて挿入糸が、互いに独立して移動可能であって、曲面形状に沿って配列することができるように構成されている、構造用経編シート。
(2) 前記炭素繊維糸条の最大移動可能距離が0.5〜10mmであって、半径0.1mの半球体に前記構造用経編シートを配したときに、前記炭素繊維糸条をその半球体の曲面形状に沿って配列することができるように構成されている、前記(1)に記載の構造用経編シート。
(3) 前記地編糸および前記よこ挿入糸の少なくとも一方が、捲縮加工糸またはカバリング糸である、前記(1)または(2)に記載の構造用経編シート。
(4) 前記(1)〜(3)のいずれかに記載の構造用経編シートが最大厚部分で50〜300枚の範囲内で積層されるとともに、該構造用経編シート同士が部分的に接着および/または縫合されて形成された経編シート積層体であって、前記炭素繊維糸条は曲面部の最小曲率半径が0.1〜10mの範囲の曲面形状に沿って配列されており、前記経編シート積層体を構成する構造用経編シートの50重量%以上の構造用経編シートは、前記経編シート積層体の長手方向と前記たて挿入糸の繊維軸方向とが略一致するように配されている、経編シート積層体。
(5) 積層された経編シート同士の部分的な接着がバインダーによってなされている、前記(4)に記載の経編シート積層体。
(1)経編シートを25cm四方の四角形状に切断する。この際、四角形の2片を繊維方向に平行となるようにする。
(2)切断した四角形の経編シートを、糸条に張力の作用しない状態で平板上に静置する。
(3)経編シートの幅方向(繊維方向に直交する方向)でほぼ中央にあるたて挿入糸の一本を選定し、その両端を手で固定し、隣接するたて挿入糸を平板上で固定されているたて挿入糸から離れる方向に動かしたときに得られる糸条間の最大値を計測する。1つの経編シートについて5回計測し、その平均値を最大移動可能距離とする。
(i)35cm四方の経編シートの幅方向ほぼ中央部にあるたて挿入糸の0°方向を、半円球に密着して沿わせる。
(ii)その状態で、上記幅方向ほぼ中央部にあるたて挿入糸に対して90°方向に、シートを半円球に沿わせる。
(iii)その後、それ以外の部分をマンドレルに密着させるに際して、0°方向の糸は動かさず、90°方向の糸はたて挿入糸を折り曲げないように、たて挿入糸の間隔を調整しながら、マンドレルに密着させる。
そして、上述したように経編シートの少なくとも表面にバインダーが配置されている経編シートを用いて積層体を構成する場合には、複数の経編シートを積層した後、該経編シート間に介在するバインダーを溶融して、経編シート同士を部分的に接着することが好ましい。かかるバインダーは、経編シートを積層するときや、経編シートにマトリックス樹脂を含浸させる際に、経編組織およびよこ挿入糸の組織の崩れや解れを抑制することができる。また同時に、積層された経編シート同士を部分的に接着することで、積層体の取扱性や形態安定性を高めることができる。このとき、バインダーが経編シート表面の全面を覆わないようにし、経編シート同士の接着を部分的にすることにより、コンポジット成形時に厚み方向へのマトリックス樹脂の含浸阻害を抑制することができる。この効果は特にレジン・トランスファー成形や、レジン・インフュージョン成形において顕著な効果を奏する。

Claims (5)
- 地編糸により鎖編組織からなる経編組織が形成され、前記経編組織にたて方向に挿入されるたて挿入糸として連続した炭素繊維糸条が挿入され、かつ、隣り合う前記鎖編組織の間を往き来する方向に挿入されるよこ挿入糸により前記鎖編組織が一体化された、スパーまたはストリンガー用の経編シートであって、前記たて挿入糸は、フィラメント数が12,000〜50,000本、引張強さが4GPa以上、引張弾性率が220〜450GPa、ドレープ値が4〜22の炭素繊維糸条であり、前記経編シートの少なくとも表面にバインダーが配置されており、該バインダーにより、たて挿入糸、鎖編組織、およびよこ挿入糸を部分的に固着され、前記経編シート内の隣り合うたて挿入糸が、互いに独立して移動可能であって、曲面形状に沿って配列することができるように構成されている、構造用経編シート。
- 前記炭素繊維糸条の最大移動可能距離が0.5〜10mmであって、半径0.1mの半球体に前記構造用経編シートを配したときに、前記炭素繊維糸条をその半球体の曲面形状に沿って配列することができるように構成されている、請求項1に記載の構造用経編シート。
- 前記地編糸および前記よこ挿入糸の少なくとも一方が、捲縮加工糸またはカバリング糸である、請求項1または2に記載の構造用経編シート。
- 請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載の構造用経編シートが最大厚部分で50〜300枚の範囲内で積層されるとともに、該構造用経編シート同士が部分的に接着および/または縫合されて形成された経編シート積層体であって、前記炭素繊維糸条は曲面部の最小曲率半径が0.1〜10mの範囲の曲面形状に沿って配列されており、前記経編シート積層体を構成する構造用経編シートの50重量%以上の構造用経編シートは、前記経編シート積層体の長手方向と前記たて挿入糸の繊維軸方向とが略一致するように配されている、経編シート積層体。
- 積層された経編シート同士の部分的な接着がバインダーによってなされている、請求項4に記載の経編シート積層体。
