Description
図8および図9は、本発明に対する比較例1である。図8は、液晶表示装置において、導電熱圧着テープ10が配置されている部分の拡大図であり、実施例1の図3に対応する部分である。図8が図3と異なる点は、導電熱圧着テープ10の対向基板200の外部導電膜210に接着あるいは導通している部分の幅が導電熱圧着テープ10の幅w1と同じになっている点である。
図10および図11は、本発明に対する比較例2である。図10は、液晶表示装置において、導電熱圧着テープ10が配置されている部分の拡大図であり、実施例1の図3に対応する部分である。図10が図3と異なる点は、導電熱圧着テープ10の全体に熱圧着ヘッド30を圧着し、導電熱圧着テープ10が対向基板200の外部導電膜210およびTFT基板100のアースパッド20に接続している点である。
図12、図13および図14は、本発明に対する比較例3である。図12は、液晶表示装置において、導電熱圧着テープ10が配置されている部分の拡大図であり、実施例1の図3に対応する部分である。図12が図3と異なる点は、導電熱圧着テープ10の中央の一定の幅w3をもって対向基板200の外部導電膜210およびTFT基板100のアースパッド20に接続している点である。
Claims (3)
- 画素電極と対向電極が形成されたTFT基板と前記TFT基板と対向する対向基板の間に液晶層が挟持され、前記対向基板の外面に透明電極による外部導電膜が形成され、前記外部導電膜の上に上偏光板が配置された液晶表示装置であって、
前記TFT基板には、アースと接続するアースパッドが形成され、
前記外部導電膜が上偏光板に覆われていない部分と前記アースパッドとを導電熱圧着テープで接続し、
前記導電熱圧着テープが配置されている前記対向基板の辺と平行な方向を幅と定義したとき、
前記導電熱圧着テープの幅をw1とし、前記導電熱圧着テープが前記外部導電膜と接着している幅をw2とし、前記導電熱圧着テープが前記アースパッドと接着している幅をw3としたとき、
w3<w2<w1
であり、
前記導電熱圧着テープには、その一部に仮止めのための両面粘着テープが形成されており、
前記両面粘着テープは前記導電熱圧着テープと前記アースパッドの間に存在し、かつ、前記導電熱圧着テープと前記外部導電膜の間に存在し、
少なくとも前記導電熱圧着テープと前記外部導電膜とが接着している第1部位と前記両面粘着テープとは重なっており、
前記第1部位と前記両面粘着テープとが重なっている幅は、前記導電熱圧着テープと前記アースパッドとが接着している第2部位と前記両面粘着テープとが重なっている幅よりも大きいことを特徴とする液晶表示装置。 - 前記導電熱圧着テープの幅をw1とし、前記導電熱圧着テープが前記外部導電膜と接着している幅をw2とし、前記導電熱圧着テープが前記アースパッドと接着している幅をw3としたとき、
1.2w3≦w2≦2.4w3<w1
であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。 - 前記液晶表示装置はIPS方式であることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の液晶表示装置。
