Description
本発明の一実施形態による曲面ディスプレイパネルは、互いに向き合う第1基板および第2基板を含む平面形態のディスプレイパネルから製造され、外側面の一部が削り出され、所望の曲面形態に曲がる前記第1基板および前記第2基板、および前記所望の曲面形態と同一な形態を有し、接着層により前記所望の曲面形態に曲がった前記ディスプレイパネルに付着される光透過性の補強プレートを含む。
前記接着層は、前記第1基板および前記第2基板の縁のうちの少なくとも一部に形成されてもよい。
前記接着層は、前記第1基板および前記第2基板の縁に沿って閉図形形態で形成されてもよい。
前記補強プレートは、前記第1基板および前記第2基板の削り出された外側面から離隔していてもよい。
本発明の他の実施形態によれば、前記補強プレートと前記第1基板および前記第2基板の外側面との間の空間に形成される光透過性の補強層をさらに含むことができる。
前記第1基板と前記第2基板の外面のうち、前記曲面形態に沿って曲がるようになる縁部分は外側終端まで削り出されてもよく、曲面ディスプレイパネルは、前記ディスプレイパネルの曲がった縁に沿って形成される補強ストリップをさらに含むことができる。

Claims (12)
- 互いに向き合う第1基板と第2基板を含む平面形態のディスプレイパネルを利用して所望の曲面形態の曲面ディスプレイパネルを製造する曲面ディスプレイパネル製造方法であって、
前記第1基板と前記第2基板の厚さが予め設定された厚さに減少するように、前記第1基板と前記第2基板の外面のうち、前記曲面形態に沿って曲がるようになる縁部分を、外側終端までそれぞれ削り出す段階、
前記外側の一部が削り出された平面形態のディスプレイパネルを前記所望の曲面形態に曲げた状態で、前記ディスプレイパネルの縁のうちの少なくとも一部に形成された接着層を利用して前記所望の曲面形態と同一な形態を有する光透過性の補強プレートを前記ディスプレイパネルに付着する段階、および、
前記補強プレートを前記ディスプレイパネルに付着する段階以前に、前記ディスプレイパネルを前記曲面形態に曲げた状態で、曲がった縁に沿って補強ストリップを形成する段階を含む、曲面ディスプレイパネル製造方法。 - 前記接着層は、前記ディスプレイパネルの縁に沿って閉図形形態に形成される、請求項1に記載の曲面ディスプレイパネル製造方法。
- 前記接着層は、光学性透明接着剤(OCA)で形成される、請求項1または2に記載の曲面ディスプレイパネル製造方法。
- 前記補強プレートは、前記第1基板と前記第2基板の削り出された外側面から離隔した状態で前記接着層により前記ディスプレイパネルに付着される、請求項1に記載の曲面ディスプレイパネル製造方法。
- 前記補強プレートと前記第1基板および前記第2基板の外側面との間の空間に光透過性の補強層を形成する、請求項4に記載の曲面ディスプレイパネル製造方法。
- 前記ディスプレイパネルの削り出された第1基板と前記第2基板の外側面のうちの一つ以上に偏光板を付着する段階をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の曲面ディスプレイパネル製造方法。
- 前記補強ストリップは、紫外線硬化樹脂を硬化して形成される、請求項1に記載の曲面ディスプレイパネル製造方法。
- 互いに向き合う第1基板および第2基板を含む平面形態のディスプレイパネルから製造される曲面ディスプレイパネルであって、
外側面の曲面形態に沿って曲がるようになる縁部分が外側終端まで削り出され、所望の曲面形態に曲がる前記第1基板および前記第2基板と、
前記所望の曲面形態と同一な形態を有し、接着層により前記所望の曲面形態に曲がった前記ディスプレイパネルに付着される光透過性の補強プレートと、
前記ディスプレイパネルの曲がった縁に沿って形成される補強ストリップとを含む、曲面ディスプレイパネル。 - 前記接着層は、前記第1基板および前記第2基板の縁のうちの少なくとも一部に形成される、請求項8に記載の曲面ディスプレイパネル。
- 前記接着層は、前記第1基板および前記第2基板の縁に沿って閉図形形態で形成される、請求項9に記載の曲面ディスプレイパネル。
- 前記補強プレートは、前記第1基板および前記第2基板の削り出された外側面から離隔している、請求項8に記載の曲面ディスプレイパネル。
- 前記補強プレートと前記第1基板および前記第2基板の外側面との間の空間に形成される光透過性の補強層をさらに含む、請求項8に記載の曲面ディスプレイパネル。
