Description
請求項2に記載の発明は、請求項1において、前記流路壁は、波状に形成された波状部を有することを要旨とする。
請求項3に記載の発明は、請求項1又は2において、前記濾過部は、前記濾材及び前記劣化抑制部を支持する筒状の前記プロテクタを備え、前記プロテクタは、前記濾材を支持する多数の貫通孔が形成された第1支持部と、該第1支持部の一端側に連なり前記劣化抑制部を支持する第2支持部と、を有することを要旨とする。
また、前記流路壁が、渦巻状又は同心円状に設けられているので、劣化抑制部の小型化を図りつつオイル流路を大きく確保できるため、オイルの通油抵抗を更に低減できるとともに、劣化抑制部によるオイルの劣化抑制効果を更に高めることができる。
また、前記劣化抑制部と筒状の前記濾過部とを軸方向に沿って収容するハウジングを備え、前記ハウジングの内壁と前記劣化抑制部の外周側との間の空間の横断面積は、前記ハウジングの内壁と前記濾過部の外周側との間の空間の横断面積より小さくされ、前記ハウジングには、前記劣化抑制部の前記濾過部から離間した側の軸方向の一端側の近傍に開口するオイル流入口が形成されているので、オイル流入路からハウジング内に流入するオイルは、劣化抑制部及び濾過部の順に通過して流れ、劣化抑制部では渦巻状又は同心円状の隣り合う流路壁の隙間をより円滑且つ確実に流れる。
さらに、前記流路壁が、波状部を有する場合は、渦巻状又は同心円状の隣り合う流路壁の間隔を大きくして更に大きなオイル流路を確保できる。
本実施形態1.に係るオイル劣化抑制装置(1、21)は、オイルを濾過する濾材(10)を備える濾過部(3、23)と、オイルの劣化を抑制する粉状の劣化抑制剤(15、27)を備える劣化抑制部(4、24)と、を備え、劣化抑制部は、劣化抑制剤を保持し且つオイル流路を形成する流路壁(16、28)を備えることを特徴とする(例えば、図1及び図6等参照)。
(1)オイル劣化装置の構成
本実施例に係るオイル劣化抑制装置1は、図1に示すように、ハウジング2内に軸方向に並んで収容される濾過部3及び劣化抑制部4を備えている。このハウジング2は、軸方向の一端側を開放した有底筒状の第1ケース5及び第2ケース6を備えている。これら各ケース5、6は、その開放端側に形成されたネジ部により着脱可能に固定されている。
次に、上記構成のオイル劣化抑制装置1の作用について説明する。ポンプ18(図5参照)の作動によりオイルパン9内に貯留されるオイルがオイル劣化抑制装置1に送られる。そして、図1に示すように、オイル流入路7に送られるオイルは、ハウジング2内部の上流側空間R1内に流入してハウジング2の軸方向に沿って流れて劣化抑制部4及び濾過部3を順次通過する。この劣化抑制部4において、オイルは、渦巻状の隣り合う流路壁16の隙間及びハウジング2の内壁と最外周側の流路壁16との間を通過する。このとき、流路壁16の表面側を流れるオイルは、流路壁16内に滲入して劣化抑制剤17と接触することで劣化が抑制されてから流路壁16の表面側に戻る(図4参照)。そして、劣化抑制部4を通過したオイルは、濾過部3に至り、濾材10によりオイル中の異物(例えば、塵埃、金属磨耗片、スラッジ等)が捕捉され、プロテクタ11の貫通孔12を介して下流側空間R2及びオイル流出路8を通ってエンジンの潤滑対象部に送られる。
以上より、本実施例によると、劣化抑制部4でオイルの劣化が抑制されるとともに濾過部3でオイルが濾過される。そして、劣化抑制部4では、劣化抑制剤15を保持した流路壁16の表面側に沿ってオイルが流れることでオイルの劣化が抑制される。これにより、劣化抑制部4ではオイルがクロスフローされることとなり、オイルの通油抵抗を減らして圧力損失の上昇を抑制することができる。
次に、本参考例に係るオイル劣化抑制装置について説明する。なお、本参考例のオイル劣化抑制装置において、上記実施例1に係るオイル劣化抑制装置1と略同じ構成部位には同符号を付けて詳説を省略する。
本参考例に係るオイル劣化抑制装置21は、図6及び図7に示すように、ハウジング2内に収容される複数組(図中2組)の濾過部23及び劣化抑制部24を備えている。このハウジング2は、第1ケース5及び第2ケース6を備えている。この第1ケース5の底部に形成されたオイル流入路7は、一方の組の濾過部23及び劣化抑制部24の軸方向の端面と対向して開口している。
次に、上記構成のオイル劣化抑制装置21の作用について説明する。図6に示すように、オイル流入路7に送られるオイルは、ハウジング2内部の上流側空間R1内に流入してハウジング2の軸方向に沿って流れて複数組の劣化抑制部24及び濾過部23を順次通過する。各組の劣化抑制部24及び濾過部23において、オイルは、流路壁28の内周側と濾材10の外周側との間及びハウジング2の内壁と流路壁28の外周側との間を通過する。このとき、流路壁28の表面側を流れるオイルは、流路壁28に滲入して劣化抑制剤27と接触することで劣化が抑制されてから流路壁28の表面側に戻る(図8参照)。そして、劣化が抑制されたオイルは、濾過部23に至り、濾材10によりオイル中の異物(例えば、塵埃、金属磨耗片、スラッジ等)が捕捉され、プロテクタ25の貫通孔12を介して下流側空間R2及びオイル流出路6を通ってエンジンの潤滑対象部に送られる。
以上より、本参考例のオイル劣化抑制装置21によると、実施例1のオイル劣化抑制装置1と略同様の作用効果を奏することに加えて、流路壁28が、濾過部23の外周を覆うように配置されているので、装置21の小型化を図りつつ流路壁28の内周側と濾過部23の外周側との間にオイル流路を構成できる。

- オイルを濾過する濾材を備える濾過部と、オイルの劣化を抑制する粉状の劣化抑制剤を備える劣化抑制部と、前記濾過部と前記劣化抑制部とを収容し且つオイル流入路及びオイル流出路を有するハウジングと、を備え、前記ハウジングの内部空間は、前記濾過部により前記オイル流入路に連なる上流側空間と前記オイル流出路に連なる下流側空間とに仕切られるオイル劣化抑制装置であって、
前記劣化抑制部は、前記粉状の劣化抑制剤を分散して保持する多孔層であり且つその表面側にオイル流路を形成する渦巻状又は同心円状の流路壁を備えるとともに、前記上流側空間内に配されており、
前記劣化抑制部と筒状の前記濾過部とは軸方向に沿って前記ハウジング内に収容されており、前記流路壁は、筒状のプロテクタの外周側に巻き付かれて渦巻状又は同心円状に設けられており、前記オイル流路は、隣り合う前記流路壁の間に形成されており、
前記オイル流入路から前記上流側空間内に流入するオイルが隣り合う前記流路壁の間に形成された前記オイル流路を流れるように、前記流路壁及び前記オイル流路の軸方向の両方の端面側が前記上流側空間内で開放されるとともに、前記ハウジングの内壁と前記劣化抑制部の外周側との間の空間の横断面積は、前記ハウジングの内壁と前記濾過部の外周側との間の空間の横断面積より小さくされ、前記ハウジングには、前記劣化抑制部の前記濾過部から離間した側の軸方向の一端側の近傍に開口する前記オイル流入路が形成されていることを特徴とするオイル劣化抑制装置。 - 前記流路壁は、波状に形成された波状部を有する請求項1記載のオイル劣化抑制装置。
