Description
そして、清掃用ウエブ部材の製造ラインでは、所定方向に沿って連続する基材シートに、繊維方向を所定方向に沿わせた複数のトウを溶着等で基材シートに固定することにより、半製品として所定方向に連続するウエブ部材を生成し、最後に、かかるウエブ部材を所定方向と交差する幅方向に切断することにより、単票状の清掃用ウエブ部材を製造する。
ここで、このウエブ部材を切断する方法として、特許文献2の切断装置を用いることが考えられる。すなわち、外周面にカッター刃を有したカッターロールと、カッター刃を受ける受け刃を有したアンビルロールとの間にウエブ部材を通して、カッター刃と受け刃とで挟圧することによりウエブ部材を切断することが考えられる。
また、切断端縁が袋とじ状に綴じてしまうと、清掃用ウエブ部材の嵩が小さくなってしまい、このことも刷毛部の性能低下に繋がる。
更に、切断時のカッター刃と受け刃との当接に起因してカッター刃の刃先が摩耗し易く、カッター刃の寿命低下を招く虞がある。
所定方向に沿ったトウを含む複数の繊維を有する前記所定方向に連続するウエブ部材を、前記所定方向と交差する交差方向に沿って切断する装置であって、
前記所定方向に沿った回転軸回りに回転しながら、前記ウエブ部材に対して前記交差方向に相対的に移動することにより、前記ウエブ部材を切断する円盤状の回転刃部材を有し、
前記回転刃部材の外周縁部の刃先には、複数の凹部が前記回転刃部材の周方向に沿って並んで形成されており、
前記複数の前記凹部の前記周方向の長さの平均値が、前記ウエブ部材に含まれる前記トウの直径の平均値よりも小さいことを特徴とするウエブ部材の切断装置である。

前記複数の前記凹部の前記周方向の長さの平均値が、前記ウエブ部材に含まれる前記トウの直径の平均値よりも小さいことを特徴とするウエブ部材の切断方法である。

前記複数の前記凹部の前記周方向の長さの平均値が、前記ウエブ部材に含まれる前記トウの直径の平均値よりも小さいことを特徴とするウエブ部材の切断装置。
このようなウエブ部材の切断装置によれば、凹部の周方向の長さの平均値は、ウエブ部材のトウの直径の平均値よりも小さいので、トウは凹部に入り込み難くなる。よって、トウの凹部への入り込みに起因したトウの溶け滓の凹部の近傍部分への固着を有効に抑制できて、刃先でのトウの溶け滓の堆積を防ぐことができる。
前記複数の前記凹部の前記周方向の長さの平均値が、前記ウエブ部材に含まれる前記トウの直径の最小値よりも小さいことのが望ましい。
このようなウエブ部材の切断装置によれば、凹部の周方向の長さの平均値は、ウエブ部材のトウの直径の最小値よりも小さいので、トウは凹部により一層入り込み難くなる。よって、トウの凹部への入り込みに起因したトウの溶け滓の凹部の近傍部分への固着をより有効に抑制できて、刃先でのトウの溶け滓の堆積を確実に防ぐことができる。
前記複数の前記凹部の深さの平均値が、前記ウエブ部材に含まれる前記トウの直径の平均値よりも小さいのが望ましい。
このようなウエブ部材の切断装置によれば、凹部の深さの平均値は、ウエブ部材のトウの直径の平均値よりも小さい。そのため、仮に、凹部の周方向の長さよりも小さい直径のトウが、凹部に入り込んだとしても、その入り込みは比較的浅いものとなり、これにより、比較的短時間でトウは凹部から脱出することができる。そして、その結果、トウの溶け滓の凹部の近傍部分への固着を抑制できて、刃先でのトウの溶け滓の堆積を防ぐことができる。
前記複数の前記凹部の深さの平均値が、前記ウエブ部材に含まれる前記トウの直径の最小値よりも小さいのが望ましい。
このようなウエブ部材の切断装置によれば、凹部の深さの平均値は、ウエブ部材のトウの直径の最小値よりも小さい。よって、凹部へのトウの入り込みを、より浅くすることができて、その結果、より短時間でトウは凹部から脱出可能となる。
前記回転刃部材は超硬合金製であり、
前記回転刃部材の形状は、円心に前記回転軸が設定された正円形状であり、
前記回転刃部材の両方の盤面同士が前記外周縁部にてなす角度は、15°〜20°の任意値に設定されているのが望ましい。
このようなウエブ部材の切断装置によれば、回転刃部材の両方の盤面同士が互いの外周縁部にてなす角度は、20°以下であるので、高い切断性を奏することができ、また、同角度は15°以上であるので、15°未満の超硬合金製の回転刃部材で起きがちな刃先の研磨時の欠け落ちを有効に防ぐことができる。
また、回転刃部材は超硬合金製であるので、耐摩耗性に優れ、長期に亘って高い切断性を持続させることができる。
前記所定方向を搬送方向として前記ウエブ部材を間欠搬送する間欠搬送機構と、
搬送停止中の前記ウエブ部材を前記回転刃部材が切断している間に亘って、前記ウエブ部材を、前記搬送方向における切断対象位置よりも下流側の位置で、前記ウエブ部材を前記間欠搬送機構に押圧することにより、前記ウエブ部材の移動を規制する下流側押圧部材と、を有するのが望ましい。
このようなウエブ部材の切断装置によれば、ウエブ部材の搬送停止中に、ウエブ部材を切断するので、切断動作の安定化を図れる。
また、切断時には、ウエブ部材の切断対象位置よりも搬送方向の下流側の位置で、下流側押圧部材によりウエブ部材を搬送停止中の間欠搬送機構に押圧し、これによりウエブ部材の移動を規制する。よって、回転しながら交差方向に移動する回転刃部材のウエブ部材への当接起因でのウエブ部材の暴れは有効に防止され、その結果、良好な切断性を奏することができる。
所定方向に沿ったトウを含む複数の繊維を有する前記所定方向に連続するウエブ部材を、前記所定方向と交差する交差方向に沿って切断する方法であって、
前記所定方向に沿った回転軸回りに円盤状の回転刃部材を回転することと、
回転する前記回転刃部材を、前記ウエブ部材に対して前記所定方向と交差する交差方向に相対的に移動することにより、前記ウエブ部材を切断することと、を有し、
前記回転刃部材の外周縁部の刃先には、複数の凹部が前記外周縁部に沿って並んで形成されており、
前記複数の前記凹部の前記周方向の長さの平均値が、前記ウエブ部材に含まれる前記トウの直径の平均値よりも小さいことを特徴とするウエブ部材の切断方法。
このようなウエブ部材の切断方法によれば、凹部の周方向の長さの平均値は、ウエブ部材のトウの直径の平均値よりも小さいので、トウは凹部に入り込み難くなる。よって、トウの凹部への入り込みに起因したトウの溶け滓の凹部の近傍部分への固着を有効に抑制できて、刃先でのトウの溶け滓の堆積を防ぐことができる。
図1は、第1実施形態の切断装置10を用いて切断生成される清掃用ウエブ部材1の斜視図である。また、図2Aは同平面図であり、図2Bは、図2A中のB−B断面図である。
例えば、幅方向の中央位置には、長手方向に沿った直線状に第1溶着接合部J1が形成されており、この第1溶着接合部J1によって、清掃用ウエブ部材1の厚さ方向の全層(つまり、補助シート3と、基材シート2と、繊維束部材5Gの全4束の各繊維束5,5…と、短冊シート7との全ての構成)が溶着接合されている。
回転刃31は、正円形状の所定厚さの円盤を本体とする。また、この例では、超硬合金の一例としてのタングステンカーバイド(WC)系合金製であるが、その材質は何等これに限るものではない。例えばSUS440c等のステンレス鋼や、SKH等の高速度工具鋼、SKS等の合金工具鋼等も使用可能である。但し、超硬合金以外は、耐磨耗性の点で劣り、比較的早期に切断性が低下するので、望ましくは超硬合金製にすると良く、これについては後述する。

なお、式1中のWはトウの重量(g)であり、ρはトウの密度(g/m3)であり、Lはトウの全長(m)である。
そして、かかる構成によれば、ローラー59aが下流側ベルトコンベア25の外周面に接近することで、半製品1aを下流側ベルトコンベア25の外周面に押圧する押圧状態に設定できる一方、ローラー59aが下流側ベルトコンベア25の外周面から離れる方向に移動することで、同下流側ベルトコンベア25の外周面との間の間隔が拡大された退避状態に設定することができる。
前述したトウの切断に好ましい回転刃31の諸仕様を見出す目的で、本願の発明者は、予め諸仕様のうちの幾つかについて実験で検討している。以下、この実験について説明する。

以上、本発明の実施形態について説明したが、上記の実施形態は、本発明の理解を容易にするためのものであり、本発明を限定して解釈するためのものではない。また、本発明は、その趣旨を逸脱することなく、変更や改良され得るとともに、本発明にはその等価物が含まれるのはいうまでもない。例えば、以下に示すような変形が可能である。

- 所定方向に沿ったトウを含む複数の繊維を有する前記所定方向に連続するウエブ部材を、前記所定方向と交差する交差方向に沿って切断する装置であって、
前記所定方向に沿った回転軸回りに回転しながら、前記ウエブ部材に対して前記交差方向に相対的に移動することにより、前記ウエブ部材を切断する円盤状の回転刃部材を有し、
前記回転刃部材の外周縁部の刃先には、複数の凹部が前記回転刃部材の周方向に沿って並んで形成されており、
前記複数の前記凹部の前記周方向の長さの平均値が、前記ウエブ部材に含まれる前記トウの直径の平均値よりも小さいことを特徴とするウエブ部材の切断装置。 - 請求項1に記載のウエブ部材の切断装置であって、
前記複数の前記凹部の前記周方向の長さの平均値が、前記ウエブ部材に含まれる前記トウの直径の最小値よりも小さいことを特徴とするウエブ部材の切断装置。 - 請求項1又は2に記載のウエブ部材の切断装置であって、
前記複数の前記凹部の深さの平均値が、前記ウエブ部材に含まれる前記トウの直径の平均値よりも小さいことを特徴とするウエブ部材の切断装置。 - 請求項3に記載のウエブ部材の切断装置であって、
前記複数の前記凹部の深さの平均値が、前記ウエブ部材に含まれる前記トウの直径の最小値よりも小さいことを特徴とするウエブ部材の切断装置。 - 請求項1乃至4の何れかに記載のウエブ部材の切断装置であって、
前記回転刃部材は超硬合金製であり、
前記回転刃部材の形状は、円心に前記回転軸が設定された正円形状であり、
前記回転刃部材の両方の盤面同士が前記外周縁部にてなす角度は、15°〜20°の任意値に設定されていることを特徴とするウエブ部材の切断装置。 - 請求項1乃至5の何れかに記載のウエブ部材の切断装置であって、
前記所定方向を搬送方向として前記ウエブ部材を間欠搬送する間欠搬送機構と、
搬送停止中の前記ウエブ部材を前記回転刃部材が切断している間に亘って、前記搬送方向における切断対象位置よりも下流側の位置で、前記ウエブ部材を前記間欠搬送機構に押圧することにより、前記ウエブ部材の移動を規制する下流側押圧部材と、を有することを特徴とするウエブ部材の切断装置。 - 所定方向に沿ったトウを含む複数の繊維を有する前記所定方向に連続するウエブ部材を、前記所定方向と交差する交差方向に沿って切断する方法であって、
