Description
この時、本発明の実施形態によれば、色フィルター230が形成されている上部基板200の切断面と薄膜トランジスタなどが形成されている下部基板100の切断面との間に段差が形成されるようにし、上部基板200の切断面が下部基板100の切断面よりも外側に突出されるように段差が形成される。つまり、図3に示されているように、上部基板200の切断された角部が下部基板100の切断された角部よりも外側に位置するように、上部基板200と下部基板100がそれぞれ切断される。

Claims (3)
- 色フィルターが形成された上部基板と薄膜トランジスタが形成された下部基板とを備えていて予め所定の大きさに構成された液晶パネルを、切断することで、所望する大きさの液晶パネルを製造する液晶パネル製造方法において、
切断面で前記上部基板と前記下部基板との間に段差が形成されるように、前記上部基板の切断された角部が前記下部基板の切断された角部よりも外側に突出されるように前記上部基板と前記下部基板を切断する段階、および
前記切断する段階によって形成された前記切断面にシーリング材を形成する段階
を含む、液晶パネル製造方法。 - 前記シーリング材を形成する段階は、前記下部基板が上に位置するようにひっくり返した状態で、ディスペンサーを用いてシーリング材を噴射することによって行われる、請求項1に記載の液晶パネル製造方法。
- 前記上部基板の切断された角部は、前記下部基板の切断された角部よりも0.2〜0.5mmだけ外側に突出されるように前記上部基板と前記下部基板が切断される、請求項1または2に記載の液晶パネル製造方法。
