・外部の壁の部分で、内部の壁の横糸繊維を外部の壁に織り込むようにプリフォームを織り、それによって、強度の増強、および損失に対する耐性を改善することができる。内部壁と外部壁の交差部分の結合は、たとえば図6aや6bに示すTあるいはt結合370である。
・この発明の技術を用いることにより、今までの積層技術でこれらの構造を組み立てるのに必要な手作業のほとんどすべてをなくすことができる。この発明のプリフォームは、織って形を作り、単一のものを型の中に置く。それにより、製造時間および費用を低減することができる。
・この発明のプリフォームは、どの側面も閉じ構造であり、それにより、トリミング工程をなくし、時間およびコストをも低減することができる。

Claims (22)
- 繊維強化コンポジットのための織りプリフォームであり、次の各構成および条件を備える織りプリフォーム。
a)織り材料からなる、水平な複数の層
b)織り材料からなる、垂直な複数の層であり、前記水平な複数の層と統合的に織られる層
c)前記垂直な複数の層は、構造部材として前記水平な複数の層の間に伸びている
d)前記水平な複数の層および前記垂直な複数の層は、プリフォームの内部に複数の貫通セルを定める
e)前記プリフォームは、外側端に閉じたセルを伴う閉じ構造を備え、その閉じ構造が周辺を取り囲むように織る横糸繊維によって定まる - 前記セルが縦糸方向に伸びる、請求項1の織りプリフォーム。
- 前記セルが横糸方向に伸びる、請求項1の織りプリフォーム。
- 前記プリフォームは、周辺に織る横糸繊維で定まる各セルに連続した輪状の強化を備える、請求項1の織りプリフォーム。
- 前記セルは、正方形あるいは長方形の形である、請求項1の織りプリフォーム。
- 次の各構成および条件を備える繊維強化コンポジット。

- 次の各構成および条件を備える繊維強化コンポジットの製造方法。
a)水平な複数の層を垂直な複数の層と統合的に織ることによって、プリフォームを形成する工程
b)織った後で前記プリフォームを開くことにより、前記垂直な複数の層が構造部材として前記水平な複数の層の間に伸びるようにする工程
c)前記水平な複数の層および前記垂直な複数の層は、プリフォームの内部に複数の貫通セルを定める
e)前記プリフォームは、外側端に閉じたセルを伴う閉じ構造を備え、その閉じ構造が周辺を取り囲むように織る横糸繊維によって定まる - 前記織りプリフォームにポリマーマトリックス材料を含浸する工程をさらに備える、請求項11の方法。
- 前記含浸する工程は、トランスファー成形あるいは化学的気相溶浸によって行う、請求項12の方法。
- 前記セルが縦糸方向に伸びる、請求項11の方法。
- 前記セルが横糸方向に伸びる、請求項11の方法。
- 前記プリフォームは、周辺に織る横糸繊維で定まる各セルに連続した輪状の強化を備える、請求項11の方法。
- 前記セルは、正方形あるいは長方形の形である、請求項11の方法。
- 次の各構成および条件を備える、繊維強化コンポジットのための織りプリフォームの製造方法。
a)水平な複数の層を垂直な複数の層と統合的に織ることによって、前記プリフォームを形成する工程
b)織った後で前記プリフォームを開くことにより、前記垂直な複数の層が構造部材として前記水平な複数の層の間に伸びるようにする工程
