Description
Claims (3)
- 組織を治療するための、閉じたループを有する、単相の液体冷媒の冷凍アブレーション・システムにおいて、該冷凍アブレーション・システムが、
前記液体冷媒を初期圧力及び初期温度で保持する容器と、
前記液体冷媒の圧力を所定圧力まで上昇させ、それにより圧縮液体冷媒を形成するように動作可能な液体ポンプと、
前記圧縮液体冷媒を、前記初期温度よりも低い所定の極低温まで冷却するように動作可能な冷却装置と、
前記冷却装置に結合され、前記圧縮液体冷媒を受け入れるように構成された冷凍プローブと
を備え、
前記冷凍プローブが、遠位のエネルギー輸送部及び遠位先端を有する細長いシャフトを更に備え、前記エネルギー輸送部が、複数の冷却用マイクロチューブ及び複数の戻りマイクロチューブを備え、前記液体冷媒が、前記冷却用マイクロチューブを通って前記遠位先端に向かって流れ、及び前記戻りマイクロチューブを通って前記遠位先端から離れるように流れ、前記複数の戻りマイクロチューブが、前記容器に流体結合されており、それにより前記液体冷媒の前記ループが完成されており、前記冷媒が前記ループを通って運ばれる際に前記液体冷媒が蒸発することがないようになっている、冷凍アブレーション・システム。 - 組織を治療するための、単相の液体冷媒の冷凍アブレーション・システムにおいて、該冷凍アブレーション・システムが、
液体冷媒と、
前記液体冷媒を初期圧力及び初期温度で保持し、前記液体冷媒が出入りするための入口及び出口をそれぞれ備える容器であって、前記入口から液体冷媒流路が始まり、前記出口で前記冷媒流路が終わる、前記容器と、
前記容器と流体連通し、前記液体冷媒を前記容器から前記液体冷媒流路を通って流れさせるとともに、前記液体冷媒の圧力を所定の圧力まで上昇させて圧縮液体冷媒を形成するように動作可能な液体ポンプと、
前記液体冷媒流路を通って前記ポンプの下流に配置され、前記圧縮液体冷媒を前記初期温度よりも低い所定の極低温まで冷却するように動作可能な冷却装置と、
前記流路を通って前記冷却装置の下流に配置された冷凍プローブと
を備え、
前記冷凍プローブは、遠位のエネルギー輸送部を有する細長いシャフトを更に備え、前記エネルギー輸送部が、前記液体冷媒を前記組織に向けて運ぶための複数のアクティブなマイクロチューブ、及び前記液体冷媒を前記組織から離れるように運ぶための複数の戻りマイクロチューブを備え、前記液体冷媒流路を通って流れる前記液体冷媒が液体のみの状態のままである、冷凍アブレーション・システム。 - 加温ラインを備える制御可能な冷却バイパスループを更に備え、前記加温ラインが、前記液体冷媒を前記冷却装置から離れるように誘導し、前記冷凍プローブに入る前の前記液体冷媒の温度を環境温度を超えて上昇させるようになっている、請求項2に記載された冷凍アブレーション・システム。
