Description
本出願は、Bar-Elらの米国仮特許出願第60/998,368号の利益を主張するものであり、該仮出願は、2007年10月9日に出願され、"Magnetic patch coupling(磁気的なパッチ連結物)"というタイトルであって、参照したことにより本明細書に組み込まれる。
本発明は、概しては、薬剤送達(ドラッグデリバリー)のための方法およびデバイス(装置)に関し、特には、経皮薬剤送達のための方法およびデバイスに関する。
粘着性の経皮薬剤パッチは、皮膚を通して薬剤を全身の血液循環へと直接送達する。典型的には、薬剤は、パッチを皮膚に付着させる粘着剤中に分散される。
本発明のいくつかの実施形態では、薬剤などの物質を被験体(subject)の皮膚を通して送達することを促進するように構成された皮膚準備器具(skin preparation device)が、該物質を含有するパッチ組立体(パッチアセンブリ)に磁気的に連結される。典型的には、該皮膚準備器具は、皮膚を除去(ablate)するように構成された1以上の電極を有する。
皮膚準備器具を有し、かつ、
パッチ組立体を有し、該パッチ組立体は、該物質を有し、かつ、該皮膚準備器具に磁気的に連結され得るものである。
第1部分は、フレームを含み、該フレームは、パッチ組立体の開口部分を少なくとも部分的に取り囲むものであって、該第1部分が皮膚上に置かれたときに、該開口部分を通して皮膚の領域が露出するようになっており、かつ、
第2部分が、該物質を有するパッドを含み、該パッドは、開口部分を通して皮膚の該領域の少なくとも一部と接触するように構成されている。
パッチ組立体が、開口部分を取り囲むフレームを含み、
皮膚準備器具の末端部が開口部分の近傍に置かれた場合には、該パッチ組立体を皮膚準備器具に連結するように、パッチ磁石が構成され、かつ、
皮膚準備器具の末端部が、該開口部分を通って挿入されるように構成されている。
パッチ組立体が、長辺と短辺とを有する長方形部分を含み、
皮膚準備器具の末端部が、長辺と短辺とを有する長方形であり、かつ、
皮膚準備器具の末端部の長辺がパッチ組立体の長方形部分の長辺と一致するように合わせられた場合に、パッチ組立体を皮膚準備器具に連結するように、パッチ磁石が構成されている。
皮膚に接着されたパッチ組立体の第1部分を残すように、かつ、
第1部分から、パッチ組立体の第2部分を取り外すように
構成されている。
皮膚準備器具をパッチ組立体に磁気的に連結することを有し、
該パッチ組立体を皮膚に接着することを有し、
皮膚準備器具を作動させることによって、該物質の送達のための皮膚を準備することを有し、かつ、
該物質を含むパッチ組立体の部分を皮膚に当てることを有する。
ここで図1および図2を参照する。これらは、本発明の一つの実施形態に係るパッチ(patch)組立体20の概略図である。該パッチは、典型的には、パッケージ22の内部に格納される。以下に記載する以外は、パッチ組立体20は、上掲のPCT国際公開公報第2006/131931号に記載されたパッチ120と概して同様である。パッチ20は、被験体の皮膚を通して物質(典型的には薬剤)を送達するように構成されている。
Claims (16)
- 被験体の皮膚を通して物質を送達することを促進するための装置であって、
当該装置は、
皮膚準備器具を有し、かつ、
パッチ組立体を有し、該パッチ組立体は、該物質を有し、かつ、該皮膚準備器具に磁気的に連結され得るものであり、かつ、
前記皮膚準備器具が、皮膚に前記パッチ組立体を接着させるように構成されている、
前記装置。 - 皮膚準備器具が、皮膚を除去するように構成された1以上の電極を有する、請求項1記載の装置。
- 該パッチ組立体が、底部ライナーを有し、該底部ライナーは、第1部分を含んでおりかつ該第1部分に折り畳み可能に連結された第2部分を含んでおり、かつ、
該パッチ組立体が、上部ライナーを有する、
請求項1〜2のいずれか1項記載の装置。 - 前記底部ライナーの第1部分が、フレームを有し、該フレームは、パッチ組立体の開口部分を少なくとも部分的に取り囲むものであって、該第1部分が皮膚上に置かれたときに、該開口部分を通して皮膚の領域が露出するようになっており、かつ、
前記底部ライナーの第2部分が、該物質を有するパッドを有し、該パッドは、開口部分を通して皮膚の該領域の少なくとも一部と接触するように構成されている、
請求項3記載の装置。 - さらに、パッチ組立体に連結された1以上のパッチ磁石を有し、該1以上のパッチ磁石は、パッチ組立体が皮膚準備器具に一致するように合わせられた場合に、該パッチ組立体を該皮膚準備器具に連結するように構成されている、
請求項1〜2のいずれか1項記載の装置。 - 皮膚準備器具が磁性材料を有し、かつ、1以上のパッチ磁石が、該磁性材料によって、パッチ組立体を皮膚準備器具に磁気的に連結するように構成されている、請求項5記載の装置。
- 皮膚準備器具の末端部が、1以上の器具磁石を有し、かつ、1以上のパッチ磁石が、該器具磁石によって、パッチ組立体を皮膚準備器具に連結するように構成されている、請求項5記載の装置。
- パッチ組立体が皮膚準備器具と一致するように合わせられていない場合には該パッチ組立体を該皮膚準備器具に連結させないように、パッチ磁石が構成されている、請求項5記載の装置。
- パッチ組立体が、開口部分を取り囲むフレームを有し、
皮膚準備器具の末端部が開口部分の近傍に置かれた場合には、該パッチ組立体を皮膚準備器具に連結させるように、パッチ磁石が構成され、かつ、
皮膚準備器具の末端部が、該開口部分を通って挿入されるように構成されている、
請求項5記載の装置。 - パッチ組立体が、長辺と短辺とを有する長方形部分を有し、
皮膚準備器具の末端部が、長辺と短辺とを有する長方形であり、かつ、
皮膚準備器具の末端部の長辺がパッチ組立体の長方形部分の長辺と一致するように合わせられた場合に、パッチ組立体を皮膚準備器具に連結するように、パッチ磁石が構成されている、
請求項5記載の装置。 - 皮膚準備器具の末端部の長辺がパッチ組立体の長方形部分の長辺と一致するように合わせられていない場合には該パッチ組立体を該皮膚準備器具に連結させないように、パッチ磁石が構成されている、請求項10記載の装置。
- 1以上のパッチ磁石が、4つの磁石を有し、かつ、該4つの磁石の各々は、パッチ組立体の長方形部分のそれぞれの角部に連結されている、請求項10記載の装置。
- 皮膚準備器具の末端部の長辺が、第1の方向を向いて、パッチ組立体の長方形部分の長辺と一致するように合わせられた場合に、パッチ組立体を皮膚準備器具に連結するように、パッチ磁石が構成され、かつ、
皮膚準備器具の末端部の長辺が、第1の方向とは反対である第2の方向を向いて、パッチ組立体の長方形部分の長辺と一致するように合わせられた場合には、パッチ組立体を皮膚準備器具に連結させないように、該磁石が構成されている、請求項10記載の装置。 - 皮膚準備器具が皮膚準備処置の際に皮膚に当てられる間に、パッチ組立体の上部ライナーに磁気的に連結されるように、皮膚準備器具が構成されている、請求項1〜2のいずれか1項記載の装置。
- 皮膚準備器具が、皮膚にパッチ組立体を接着させるように構成されている、請求項14記載の装置。
- 皮膚準備処置にひき続いて、皮膚準備器具が皮膚から取り外されることによって、該皮膚準備器具が、
皮膚に接着された、パッチ組立体の底部ライナーを残すように、かつ、
該皮膚準備器具に磁気的に連結されたパッチ組立体の上部ライナーを該パッチ組立体の底部ライナーから取り外すように、
構成されている、請求項15記載の装置。
