Claims (23)
- 複数のバッテリーセルまたはユニットモジュール(「ユニットセル」)が積み重ねられており、前記ユニットセルの間の電気接続部に、かつ/または、前記電気接続部に接続されたバッテリーモジュール接続部材の外側にヒートシンクが取り付けられた構造において構成されており、
前記ヒートシンクが、前記ユニットセルの間の前記電気接続部の外側と緊密に接触するように構成された複数のバー型接触部と、前記バー型接触部の対応する端部を一体的に接続するように構成された接続部と、を含み、前記ユニットセルの間の前記電気接続部が前記バー型接触部の間に画定されたスリットに挿入されるようにバッテリーモジュールに取り付けられており、かつ前記ヒートシンクが、電圧および/または電流を検出する検知部材の頂部に配置されていることを特徴とするバッテリーモジュール。 - 前記バッテリーモジュール接続部材が、前記ユニットセルの電極端子を外部入出力端子に接続するためのバスバーであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のバッテリーモジュール。
- 前記ヒートシンクが、前記バッテリーモジュール接続部材の外面に対応する形状に形成されており、前記電気接続部に接続される部分を除いて、前記バッテリーモジュール接続部材の内側または外側に取り付けられていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のバッテリーモジュール。
- 前記ヒートシンクが、吸熱材料が封止部材に含まれる構造で構成されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のバッテリーモジュール。
- 吸熱材料が不活性材料カプセルによって支えられ、またシート部材が、高い熱伝導性を有する繊維形部材を含む状態で、前記吸熱材料が前記シート部材に含まれる構造で前記ヒートシンクが構成されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のバッテリーモジュール。
- 前記吸熱材料が、前記吸熱材料の相が特定温度で変化するときの潜熱を有する相変化材料であることを特徴とする請求項4に記載のバッテリーモジュール。
- 前記相変化材料が、パラフィン、ポリエチレングリコール、および無機水和物からなる群から選択される1つ、またはそれらの組合せであることを特徴とする請求項6に記載のバッテリーモジュール。
- 前記バッテリーモジュールが、複数のバッテリーセルまたはユニットモジュール(「ユニットセル」)をユニットバッテリーとして含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のバッテリーモジュール。
- 前記バッテリーモジュールが、
(a)前記ユニットセルが横方向に立っている状態で、互いに直列に接続された複数のバッテリーセルまたはユニットモジュール(「ユニットセル」)を含むユニットセルスタックと、
(b)ユニットモジュールスタックの一方の面、ならびに前記ユニットモジュールスタックの上部端の一部および下部端の一部を囲うように構成されており、外部入出力端子を正面に設けられている上部ケースと、
(c)前記上部ケースに結合しており、前記ユニットモジュールスタックの他方の面、ならびに前記ユニットモジュールスタックの上部端の一部および下部端の一部を囲うように構成された下部ケースであって、前記上部ケースは、その正面に、前記ユニットセルの電極端子を前記外部入出力端子に接続するバスバーが設けられている、下部ケースと、
(d)前記下部ケースの正面および背面に画定されたスペースに取り付けられた検知フレームと、それぞれの前記検知フレームに配置された検知部と、前記検知部を互いに接続する伝導部と、を含む検知部材と、
(e)絶縁用材料で作られており、前記ユニットセルの電極端子間の接続部、およびバスバーを外部から保護するために前記下部ケースの正面に取り付けられる正面カバーと
を含むことを特徴とする請求項8に記載のバッテリーモジュール。 - 前記ユニットセルスタックが複数のユニットモジュールを含み、該各ユニットモジュールが複数のプレート形バッテリーセルを含み、該各プレート形バッテリーセルが、上部端および下部端に形成された電極端子を有しており、
前記ユニットモジュールのそれぞれが、前記バッテリーセルの電極端子が互いに直列に接続され、前記電極端子の間の接続部が曲げられている構造で構成された2つ以上のバッテリーセルを含み、前記バッテリーセルが積み重ねられており、また、一対の高強度セルカバーが、前記バッテリーセルの電極端子を除いて、前記バッテリーセルの外側を囲うために互いに結合していることを特徴とする請求項9に記載のバッテリーモジュール。 - 前記下部ケースが、前記下部ケースの正面および背面の内側に固定溝を設けられており、前記電極端子の間の接続部が前記固定溝に固定して挿入されることを特徴とする請求項9に記載のバッテリーモジュール。
- 前記下部ケースが、前記下部ケースの正面に一対のスリットを設けられており、前記ユニットセルスタックの最も外側の電極端子が、前記一対のスリットに貫通して挿入されることを特徴とする請求項9に記載のバッテリーモジュール。
- 前記最も外側の電極端子が、前記下部ケースの正面に設けられる前記バスバーに接続されるように、それぞれのスリットに貫通して挿入された後に曲げられることを特徴とする請求項12に記載のバッテリーモジュール。
- 前記バスバーの上部端が窪んだ溝の形状に形成され、前記上部ケースと前記下部ケースが互いに結合しているときに、前記上部ケースの正面に設けられた前記外部入出力端子が前記窪んだ溝に挿入されることを特徴とする請求項9に記載のバッテリーモジュール。
- 前記正面カバーが、組立てによって前記下部ケースに結合することを特徴とする請求項9に記載のバッテリーモジュール。
- 電力ケーブルを固定するための穴が前記正面カバーに設けられていることを特徴とする請求項9に記載のバッテリーモジュール。
- 結合部が外部デバイスに固定されるように、前記下部ケースはその正面および/または背面の下部端に前記下部ケースから突き出る前記結合部が設けられており、前記結合部はその中央に形成された貫通孔を有していることを特徴とする請求項9に記載のバッテリーモジュール。
- 前記バッテリーモジュールは、前記バッテリーセルが順次積み重ねられた状態で、モジュールケースに取り付けられた複数のプレート形バッテリーセルであって、樹脂層および金属層を含む積層シートから形成されたバッテリーケースに取り付けられたカソード/セパレータ/カソード構造の電極アセンブリを前記プレート形バッテリーセルのそれぞれが含む、複数のプレート形バッテリーセルと、前記バッテリーセルの間の2つ以上の境界面に配置された複数の熱放射部材を含み、前記熱放射部材を一体的に相互接続する熱交換部材が前記バッテリーセルのスタックの一方の面に取り付けられており、それによって、前記バッテリーセルの充放電の間に前記バッテリーセルから発生する熱が前記熱交換部材によって取り除かれることを特徴とする請求項8に記載のバッテリーモジュール。
- 前記熱放射部材のそれぞれが、高い熱伝導性を示す金属シートから作られていることを特徴とする請求項18に記載のバッテリーモジュール。
- 前記熱交換部材が、高い熱伝導性を示す金属材料から作られていることを特徴とする請求項18に記載のバッテリーモジュール。
- 前記熱放射部材が前記積み重ねられたバッテリーセルから外側に少なくとも部分的に露出し、また前記熱放射部材の露出部分が前記バッテリーセルの横方向に曲げられた状態で、前記熱放射部材が前記バッテリーセルの境界面に配置されていることを特徴とする請求項18に記載のバッテリーモジュール。
- 請求項1に記載のバッテリーモジュールを単体として含むバッテリーパック。
- 電気自動車、ハイブリッド電気自動車、またはプラグインハイブリッド電気自動車用の電源として使用されることを特徴とする請求項22に記載のバッテリーパック。
