Description

はじめに、本発明の理解を容易なものとすべく、本発明が適用される手法(以下、本発明の手法と称する)の概略について説明する。
[本発明が適用される画像処理装置の構成例]
図4は、本発明が適用された画像処理装置の第1の実施の形態の構成例を示すブロック図である。
図4の例の本発明が適用される画像処理装置が、ストリームデータを再生する処理(以下、ストリームデータ再生処理と称する)について説明する。
図8、図9を参照して、本発明が適用される画像処理装置の第2の実施の形態について説明する。
Claims (6)
- 符号化されたピクチャの実データを含み、前記ピクチャの復号化に参照ピクチャが必要か否かを特定でき、必要な場合には参照ピクチャを特定できるヘッダを含むアクセスユニットを単位として、複数の前記アクセスユニットから構成されるストリームが復号される場合に、処理対象のアクセスユニットの復号に必要な参照ピクチャを保持する保持手段と、
前記ストリームを解析することで、前記アクセスユニット毎に前記ヘッダを検出する解析手段と、
前記解析手段によって検出された前記ヘッダを用いて、前記ストリームに含まれる各アクセスユニットについて、復号の段階で前記保持手段に保持させるN個のピクチャを示す保持情報が羅列されたリストを生成する生成手段と、
前記生成手段により生成された前記リストの保持情報に基づいて、前記保持手段に保持させる前記ピクチャを制御することで、前記ストリームを復号する復号手段と
を備え、
前記生成手段は、前記リストに記載される前記保持情報を、
所定ピクチャの復号の段階で、前記保持手段に保持される前記N個のピクチャの中に新たな参照ピクチャを含める必要がある場合、前記保持手段に保持されている時間が古い順にピクチャを消去していくという第1規則に従って、前記アクセスユニットの保持情報を復号の順番で生成し、
前記ヘッダのうち、ピクチャの消去の順番を変えることを示すヘッダを検出した場合、そのヘッダに対応するアクセスユニットに含まれるピクチャについては、前記第1規則の代わりに、そのヘッダにより特定される消去の順番でピクチャを消去するという第2規則に従って前記保持情報を作成する
画像処理装置。 - 前記生成手段は、前記保持手段に新たな参照ピクチャを保持する場合に、前記保持手段に保持されている時間が古い順に前記ピクチャを消去して、前記保持情報を復号の順番で生成する
請求項1に記載の画像処理装置。 - 前記ヘッダの種類としては、前記ストリーム全体の符号化に関する情報が含まれた第1のヘッダ、前記ピクチャ全体の符号化に関する情報が含まれた第2のヘッダ、および、前記ピクチャの消去の順番を変えることを示す情報が含まれた第3のヘッダが存在する
請求項1に記載の画像処理装置。 - 前記生成手段は、さらに、前記ヘッダを用いて、前記ストリームにおける前記ピクチャの出力順序を示す情報を作成する
請求項1に記載の画像処理装置。 - 前記解析手段により解析された前記ヘッダ、および、前記生成手段により生成された前記保持情報を記憶する記憶手段
をさらに備える請求項1に記載の画像処理装置。 - 符号化されたピクチャの実データを含み、前記ピクチャの復号化に参照ピクチャが必要か否かを特定でき、必要な場合には参照ピクチャを特定できるヘッダを含むアクセスユニットを単位として、複数の前記アクセスユニットから構成されるストリームが復号される場合に、処理対象のアクセスユニットの復号に必要な参照ピクチャを保持する保持手段を備える画像処理装置の画像処理方法において、
前記ストリームを解析することで、前記アクセスユニット毎に前記ヘッダを検出し、
前記検出された前記ヘッダを用いて、前記ストリームに含まれる各アクセスユニットについて、復号の段階で前記保持手段に保持させるN個のピクチャを示す保持情報が羅列されたリストを生成する
ステップを含み、
前記生成は、前記リストに記載される前記保持情報を、
所定ピクチャの復号の段階で、前記保持手段に保持される前記N個のピクチャの中に新たな参照ピクチャを含める必要がある場合、前記保持手段に保持されている時間が古い順にピクチャを消去していくという第1規則に従って、前記アクセスユニットの保持情報を復号の順番で生成し、
前記ヘッダのうち、ピクチャの消去の順番を変えることを示すヘッダを検出した場合、そのヘッダに対応するアクセスユニットに含まれるピクチャについては、前記第1規則の代わりに、そのヘッダにより特定される消去の順番でピクチャを消去するという第2規則に従って前記保持情報を作成する
