第2の参考形態は、前記第1の参考形態であって、前記基板が冷却基板であることを特徴とするものである。

21…基板、22…光ファイバ収納用溝、22a…光ファイバ収納用溝、22b…光ファイバ収納用溝、23…光ファイバ収納用溝、23a…光ファイバ収納用溝、24…光ファイバ増幅器用光学部品収納用凹部
このようなカセットを使用することにより、光ファイバおよび光学部品を整然と配置することができ、光ファイバ増幅器の作製が容易となる。また光ファイバ又は光学部品に問題が生じたとしても部位の特定および交換が容易となる。また、光ファイバアンプによる発熱が生じる場所を他の光ファイバと区別して配置することが可能となり、発熱の他のファイバへの影響を極力抑えることが可能となる。また、光ファイバ及び光学部品を溝に入れて固定することにより、輸送時の振動の影響を受けにくくなる。加えて、カセット自体を冷却することにより、発熱の影響自体を抑えることが可能となる。
Claims (3)
- 光ファイバ増幅器用カセットの使用方法であって、前記光ファイバ増幅器用カセットには、基板の表面に前記光ファイバ増幅器を構成する光ファイバを収納するための溝が形成されており、前記溝は互いに接することなく形成された二重以上のスパイラル状部分を有し、前記スパイラル状部分の一部に光ファイバ増幅器用光学部品を配置するための凹部が形成されおり、増幅用光ファイバを通過するレーザ光のパワーの増大にともなって、増幅用光ファイバの巻径が大きくなるように、前記スパイラル状部分の前記溝に前記増幅用光ファイバを配置することを特徴とする光ファイバ増幅器用カセットの使用方法。
- 前記光ファイバ増幅器用カセットの前記溝に増幅用光ファイバを収納し、前記凹部に光ファイバ増幅器用光学部品を収納することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の光ファイバ増幅器用カセットの使用方法。
- 前記光ファイバ増幅器用カセットの複数個を、前記基板の表面上に順次積み重ねる請求項2に記載の光ファイバ増幅器用カセットの使用方法。
