Claims (4)
- 上向きに開口する外装缶と、下向きに開口する封口缶と、前記外装缶と前記封口缶との周縁間に配置されて前記外装缶と前記封口缶との間を封止するガスケットとを有していて、前記封口缶と前記ガスケットとを前記外装缶内に嵌め込んでから前記外装缶の筒状の周壁の開口側を前記外装缶の軸芯側へ湾曲させて、前記外装缶と前記封口缶とを前記ガスケットを介在させた状態でかしめ固定してある扁平形電池であって、
前記外装缶の前記周壁は、前記外装缶の底板に対して垂直に立ち上がっており、
前記封口缶は、逆皿形状の収容部と、当該収容部から下向きに垂設した一重の外周壁とを有しており、
前記封口缶の前記収容部は、その開口下端部が外向きのフランジ状に張り出し形成されていて、前記開口下端部の外周縁に前記外周壁が連続して形成されており、
前記封口缶の前記外周壁は、前記外装缶の前記底板に対して垂直になるように配置されており、
前記ガスケットは、前記外装缶の前記底板に接する状態で前記封口缶の前記外周壁の下端側の周縁を受け止めるベース部と、当該ベース部から上向きに張り出して前記外装缶の前記周壁と前記封口缶の前記外周壁との間に介在する外筒壁とを有しており、
前記外装缶の前記周壁は、当該周壁の開口側が前記外装缶の軸芯側へ向けて湾曲することで、前記封口缶の前記外周壁に対して横向きの姿勢となる湾曲端部が形成されており、
前記外装缶の前記周壁の前記湾曲端部が、前記ガスケットの前記外筒壁の上端部を前記封口缶の前記外周壁側へ向けて垂直方向に押圧していることで、前記ガスケットの前記外筒壁の前記上端部が垂直方向に圧縮されており、
前記外装缶の前記周壁の前記湾曲端部の先端位置が、前記封口缶の前記外周壁の内面よりも前記外装缶の軸芯側に位置していて、前記封口缶の前記外周壁の前記内面を延長した第1の仮想延長面から前記外装缶の前記周壁の前記湾曲端部の前記先端位置までの横方向の寸法が、前記封口缶の前記外周壁の厚さ寸法の10〜300%の寸法範囲内に設定されており、
前記封口缶の前記外周壁の外面を延長した第2の仮想延長面が前記外装缶の前記周壁の外面に接する箇所において、前記第2の仮想延長面に対する前記箇所に接する仮想平面の上方向への傾斜角度が65〜105°の範囲内に設定されていることを特徴とする扁平形電池。 - 前記外装缶の前記周壁の下部に繋がっていて前記外装缶の前記周壁の湾曲が始まる湾曲始点位置が、前記封口缶の前記収容部の前記開口下端部よりも上側に位置している請求項1記載の扁平形電池。
- 前記外装缶の前記底板の中央部分を下向きに凹ませて凹部を形成していて、前記凹部の外側に当該凹部を囲む環状の外周縁部が形成されており、
前記ガスケットの前記ベース部が、前記外装缶の前記底板の前記外周縁部に接触している請求項1又は2記載の扁平形電池。 - 前記封口缶の前記外周壁が、開口側に向かうに従って厚さ寸法が小さくなる先細り状に形成してある請求項1乃至3のいずれかに記載の扁平形電池。
