Description
上記発光素子に接続されていて共通の信号を伝える複数のバスと;
これら複数のバスと交差していてこれら複数のバスを電気的に接続する複数の電気的相互接続部とを備えるアクティブ-マトリックス・エレクトロルミネッセンス・デバイスであって、
上記複数の発光素子が、4個の発光素子からなる複数のグループとして配置され、各グループは、上記バスと上記電気的相互接続部の交差部のまわりに配置された隣り合った4つの発光素子からなる4個組セルを形成しており、1つのバスのそれぞれの側に各4個組セルの2つの発光素子が形成され、1つの電気的相互接続部のそれぞれの側に各4個組セルの2つの発光素子が形成されており;
各4個組セルのそれぞれの発光素子は、その4個組セルの発光素子を互いに隔てるバスまたは電気的相互接続部に接続されていて、各4個組セルは、隣の4個組セルと共通する1つのバスまたは電気的相互接続部を共有し、共通する1つのバスを共有する隣り合った4個組セルは、共通する相互接続部によって隔てられておらず、共通する相互接続部を共有する隣り合った4個組セルは、共通のバスによって隔てられていないアクティブ・マトリックス・デバイスに関するものである。

Claims (2)
- 基板上にレイアウトされた複数の発光素子(ただし各発光素子は、第1の電極と、第2の電極と、これら電極の間に形成された1つ以上のエレクトロルミネッセンス層を備えており、少なくとも1つのエレクトロルミネッセンス層が発光し、少なくとも1つの電極は透明であり、第1の電極と第2の電極が1つ以上の発光領域を規定している)と、基板上に形成されていて、1つ以上のエレクトロルミネッセンス層を駆動して光を発生させるために第1の電極および/または第2の電極に接続されている電子部品と、
前記発光素子に接続されていて共通の信号を伝える複数のバスと、
これら複数のバスと交差していてこれら複数のバスを電気的に接続する複数の電気的相互接続部とを備えるアクティブ-マトリックス・エレクトロルミネッセンス・デバイスであって、
前記複数の発光素子が、4個の発光素子からなる複数のグループとして配置され、各グループは、前記のバスと前記の電気的相互接続部の交差部のまわりに配置された隣り合った4つの発光素子からなる4個組セルを形成しており、1つのバスのそれぞれの側に各4個組セルの2つの発光素子が形成され、1つの電気的相互接続部のそれぞれの側に各4個組セルの2つの発光素子が形成されており、
各4個組セルのそれぞれの発光素子は、前記4個組セルの縁部よりもバスと電気的相互接続部の交点により近い位置で前記4個組セルの発光素子を互いに隔てるバスまたは電気的相互接続部に接続されていて、各4個組セルは、隣の4個組セルと共通する1つのバスまたは電気的相互接続部を共有し、共通する1つのバスを共有する隣り合った4個組セルは、共通する電気的相互接続部によって隔てられておらず、共通する電気的相互接続部を共有する隣り合った4個組セルは、共通のバスによって隔てられておらず、
1つのバスまたは電気的相互接続部の一方の側にある4個組セルの発光素子が、前記バスまたは電気的相互接続部の他方の側に、前記4個組セルの発光素子が反転されたレイアウトを持ち、
前記複数のバスと前記複数の電気的相互接続部は1つの共通ステップで、1つの共通する層の中に形成されている、
ことを特徴とするアクティブ・マトリックス・デバイス。 - 各4個組セルが、異なる4色の発光素子を有する単一の画素を備える、請求項1に記載のアクティブ・マトリックス・デバイス。
