Description
電極アセンブリから突出した複数の電極タブが対応の電極リードに接続されてなり、かつ、前記電極アセンブリが受容部に取り付けられている構造により構築されてなり、
バッテリーケースが多形に形成されてなり、前記バッテリーケースが前記電極アセンブリの上端を所定の幅で押しつけることにより、前記受容部の上端空間領域で、前記受容部に取り付けられた前記電極アセンブリが、上方向に動くのを防止してなるものであり、
前記電極アセンブリが、前記受容部の上端から間隔をあけて配置され、前記バッテリーの反復充放電中に、前記電極タブと前記対応する電極リードとの間を接続するようになっている、二次電池に関する。
カソード活物質としてのLiCoO294重量%と、Super−P(導電剤)3.5重量%と、PVdf(カップリング剤)2.5重量%とを、溶媒としてのN−メチル−2−ピロリドン(NMP)に添加することにより、カソード混合物スラリーを調製した。このカソード混合物スラリーを、アルミニウム箔上に塗布した。続いて、カソード混合物スラリーを乾燥し、プレスして、カソードを製造した。
アノード活物質としての人工黒鉛94重量%と、Super−P(導電剤)1重量%と、PVdf(カップリング剤)5重量%とを、溶媒としてのNMPに添加することにより、アノード混合物スラリーを調製した。アノード混合物スラリーを銅箔上に塗布した。続いて、このアノード混合物スラリーを乾燥し、プレスして、アノードを製造した。
ポーチ型バッテリーケースが、図5に示すように10mmの長さだけ電極アセンブリの上端から隔てた位置から始まり、そして図7に示す角度の多形領域を有する受容部を備えるように、ポーチ型バッテリーケースをアルミニウム積層シートから引き抜き加工により製造した。
積層型電極アセンブリを、上記1−1に記載したように製造したカソードと上記1−2に記載したように製造したアノードを積層するとともに、Celgard社製ポリプロピレンセパレーターをカソードとアノードとの各間に配置した構造で製造した。製造した電極アセンブリをポーチ型バッテリーケースに取り付けた後、1M LiPF6カーボネート系液状電解質をバッテリーケースに注入して、バッテリーを製造した。

Claims (10)
- 二次電池であって、
電極アセンブリから突出した複数の電極タブが対応の電極リードに接続されてなり、かつ、前記電極アセンブリが受容部に取り付けられてなる構造により構築されてなり、
バッテリーケースが多形に形成されてなり、前記バッテリーケースが前記電極アセンブリの上端を押しつけることにより、前記受容部の上端空間領域で、前記受容部に取り付けられた前記電極アセンブリが、上方向に動くのを防止してなるものであり、
前記電極アセンブリが、前記受容部の上端から間隔をあけて配置され、前記バッテリーの反復充放電中に、前記電極タブと前記対応する電極リードとの間を接続するようになっており、
前記受容部の上端空間領域が傾斜して、前記受容部の上端の空間領域の幅が前記電極リードの方向に少なくとも部分的に減少してなり、及び
前記電極アセンブリの上端を押しつけるための多形領域が、前記傾斜部に続いて前記多形領域となるように順次形成されてなり、
前記多形領域が、前記電極アセンブリの上端から前記電極アセンブリの全長の5〜15%に対応する位置から始まっている、二次電池。 - 前記多形領域の傾斜角が、前記傾斜部の傾斜角よりも小さい範囲内で5〜20度である、請求項1に記載の二次電池。
- 前記多形領域が、前記電極アセンブリの上端から3〜20mm離れた位置から始まっている、請求項1に記載の二次電池。
- 前記受容部の上端面が、前記電極アセンブリの方向に曲がっている、請求項1に記載の二次電池。
- 前記傾斜部が、前記バッテリーケースの成形中に形成されたものである、請求項1に記載の二次電池。
- 前記電極アセンブリが、積層また積層/折り畳み型構造に構成されている、請求項1に記載の二次電池。
- 前記バッテリーケースが、樹脂層と金属層とを備えた積層シートから構成されている、請求項1に記載の二次電池。
- 前記バッテリーケースが、アルミニウム積層シート製ポーチ型ケースである、請求項7に記載の二次電池。
- 前記バッテリーが、リチウム二次電池である、請求項1に記載の二次電池。
- 請求項1に記載の二次電池を備えてなる、高出力且つ大容量の中型又は大型バッテリーパック。
