Description
Claims (26)
- 移植可能なステント(10、10’)であって、
編組加工されて中空の管状構造体を形成する複数の細長いワイヤ(18)を含んでおり、前記構造体には管状の壁(16)が設けられて内側面(106)と外側面(104)を定めるとともに、両端の第1開放端(14)と第2開放端(12)が設けられており、前記両端の第1開放端(14)と前記第2開放端(12)は外傷回避するようになった端部であり、体内にある前記ワイヤを、体外で、より良好に画像化することができるようにするために、前記ワイヤ(18)は、前記ワイヤの視認性を向上させた合成ワイヤであり、
前記ワイヤ(18、50、52、54、56、58、60、62、64)は前記第2開放端で終端し、前記第1開放端のワイヤ(18)は一連の閉鎖ループ(15、15a、15b)に配置され、前記ループは、各々の頂点が複数ワイヤのうちの1本(18)の屈曲部によって定められるとともに、この頂点の反対側にある各ループの底辺は互いに隣接し合うワイヤの交差部により定められており、互いに隣接し合う閉鎖ループ(15a、15b)の頂点は、互いから長手方向に片寄せられていることを特徴とするステント。 - 視認性の向上は放射線不透過性の向上のことであり、体外で画像化することは放射線透視またはX線透視による視認化のことである、請求項1に記載のステント。
- 前記外傷回避するようになった端部には、解けて閉状態になっていないワイヤ端部が全く無いことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載のステント。
- 前記細長い合成ワイヤ(18)は金属製ワイヤであり、第1金属を含む外側金属部と、第2金属を含む内側金属芯部が設けられており、前記第1金属は前記第2金属と異なることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載のステント。
- 前記内側芯部の第2金属は、金、硫酸バリウム、フェライト粒子、白金、白金・タングステン、パラジウム、白金・イリジウム、ロジウム、タンタル、これらの組合せからなる群から選択された放射線不透過性の素材を含むことを特徴とする、請求項4に記載のステント。
- 前記外側金属部の第1金属はニチノールを含んでいることを特徴とする、請求項4に記載のステント。
- 前記ワイヤ(18、50、52、54、56、58、60、62、64)は前記第2開放端(12)で終端し、互いに隣接して並置されたワイヤ(50、52、54、56、58、60、62、64)は前記第2開放端(12)で固定的に接合されて、第1の固定接合領域(20a、76)を設けており、前記互いに隣接して並置されたステントワイヤ(56、62)のうちの少なくとも1本は第1の固定接合領域(20a、76)を越えて張出してからループ状にされており、更に、前記張出してループ状になったワイヤ(56、62)は、第2の固定接合領域(20b、76)を設けて、近接している1対のワイヤ(52、58、60、64)に固定的に接合され、閉鎖ループワイヤ端を定めることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載のステント。
- 前記ワイヤ(18、50、52、54、56、58、60、62、64)はワイヤ(18、50、52、54、56、58、60、62、64)を互いに溶接することにより固定的に接合され、また、前記固定接合領域(20a、20b、76)は、いずれもが溶接部であることを特徴とする、請求項7に記載のステント。
- 前記ワイヤ(18)は前記第2開放端(12)で終端しており、前記第2開放端(12)の互いに隣接して並置されたワイヤ(18a、18b、18c)は固定的に接合されて第2固定接合領域(20a、20b、76)を設けており、前記終端しているワイヤ(18a、18b、18c)の端部(19a、19b、19c)は、前記ワイヤの端部(19a、19b、19c)から鋭利な端縁を除去することにより平滑にされることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載のステント。
- 前記ワイヤ(18a、18b、18c)はワイヤ(18a、18b、18c)を溶接することにより固定的に接合され、更に、前記固定接合領域(20a、20b、76)は、溶接部であることを特徴とする、請求項9に記載のステント。
- 前記ワイヤ(18、50、52、54、56、58、60、62、64)は前記第2開放端(12)で終端し、互いに隣接して並置されたワイヤ(50、52、54、56、58、60、62、64)は前記第2開放端(12)で固定的に接合されて、第1の固定接合領域(20a、20b、20c、76)を設けており、前記互いに隣接して並置されたステントワイヤ(56、62)のうちの少なくとも1本は第1の固定接合領域(20a、20b、20c、76)を越えて張出してからループ状にされ、前記張出した端部は、そこに近接している1対のステントワイヤ(52、58、60、64)に当接しており、更に、前記張出してループ状にされたワイヤ(56、62)は、第2固定接合領域(20b)を設けて、近接する1対のワイヤ(52、58、60、64)に固定的に接合され、前記第2固定接合領域(20b)は、前記第1固定接合領域(20a)から長手方向に片寄せられていることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載のステント。
- 前記ワイヤ(18、50、52、54、56、58、60、62、64)は、前記ワイヤ(18、50、52、54、56、58、60、62、64)を互いに溶接することにより固定的に接合され、また、前記固定接合領域(20a、20b、20c、76)は溶接部であることを特徴とする、請求項11に記載のステント。
- 前記第1溶接部と前記第2溶接部(20a、20b)は、長手方向への張出しが実質的に同程度であってもよいことを特徴とする、請求項12に記載のステント。
- 前記第1溶接部と前記第2溶接部(20a、20b)には、互いに重なり合う、長手方向に張出す部分が設けられることを特徴とする、請求項12に記載のステント。
- 前記ステント(10、10’)は、その一部または全部がポリマー材で被覆されることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載のステント。
- 前記ステント(10、10’)の一部または全部で、その内側面(106)または外側面(106)を覆うように配置された中空の管状移植片を更に備える、請求項1に記載のステント。
- 前記移植片(102)はポリマー材であることを特徴とする、請求項16に記載のステント。
- 前記ポリマー材は、ポリエステル、ポリプロピレン、ポリエチレン、ポリウレタン、ポリナフタレン、ポリテトラフルオロエチレン、発泡ポリテトラフルオロエチレン、シリコーン、これらの各種組合せからなる群から選択されることを特徴とする、請求項17に記載のステント。
- 移植可能なステント(10、10')を製造する方法であって、
複数の細長いワイヤ(18)を設ける段階を含み、体内にあるワイヤを体外でより良好に画像化することができるようにするために、前記細長いワイヤ(18)はワイヤの視認性を向上させるように合成ワイヤから構成されており、
前記ワイヤ(18)を編組加工して中空の管状構造体を形成する段階を含み、前記管状構造体は、内側面(106)と外側面(104)を定める管状の壁(16)が設けられているとともに、両端に第1開放端(14)と第2開放端(12)が設けられおり、両端の第1開放端と第2開放端は外傷回避するようになった端部であり、
前記第1開放端(14)のワイヤ(18)を一連の閉鎖ループ(15、15a、15b)に配置する段階を更に含み、前記ループ(15、15a、15b)は、各々の頂点が複数ワイヤ(18)のうちの1本の屈曲部によって定められており、前記頂点は、反対側の各ループの底辺は互いに隣接し合うワイヤの交差部によって定められており、互いに隣接し合うループ(15a、15b)およびループ(18、50、52、54、56、58、60、62、64)の頂点は、互いから長手方向に片寄せられていることを特徴とする方法。 - 視認性の向上は放射線不透過性の向上のことであり、体外で画像化することは、放射線透視またはX線透視による視認化のことであることを特徴とする、請求項19に記載の方法。
- 前記第2開放端(12)の位置で前記ワイヤ(18、50、52、54、56、58、60、62、64)を終端させる段階と、
第2開放端(12)の位置で前記ワイヤ(18、50、52、54、56、58、60、62、64)を整合させて、複数の互いに組になる隣接し合ったワイヤ(50、52、54、56、58、60、62、64)にし、複数の並置領域(68、70、72、74)を定める段階と、
互いに組になる隣接し合うワイヤ(50、52、54、56、58、60、62、64)を並置領域(68、70、72、74)で互いに固定的に接合して、前記第2開放端(12)で閉鎖ループを定める段階と、
を更に含んでいることを特徴とする、請求項19に記載の方法。 - 前記ワイヤ(18、50、52、54、56、58、60、62、64)を固定的に接合する前記段階は、前記ワイヤ(18、50、52、54、56、58、60、62、64)を溶接する段階を含んでいることを特徴とする、請求項21に記載の方法。
- 前記第2開放端(12)の位置で前記ワイヤ(18)を終端させて、終端したワイヤ端部(19a、19b、19c)およびワイヤ端部(18a、18b、18c)を形成する段階と、
前記第2開放端(12)で前記ワイヤ(18a、18b、18c)を整合させて、複数の互いに組になる隣接し合うワイヤ(18a、18b、18c)にして、複数の並置領域を定める段階と、
前記互いに組になる隣接し合うワイヤ(18a、18b、18c)を並置領域で互いに固定的に接合して、複数の固定接合領域(20a、20b、20c)を定める段階と、
前記終端しているワイヤ端部(19a、19b、19c)を、前記ワイヤ端部(19a、19b、19c)から鋭利な端縁を除去することにより平滑にする段階と、
を更に含んでいることを特徴とする、請求項19に記載の方法。 - 前記ワイヤ(18a、18b、18c)を固定的に接合する前記段階は、前記ワイヤ(18a、18b、18c)を溶接する段階を含んでおり、更に、前記固定接合領域(20a、20b、20c)は溶接部であることを特徴とする、請求項23に記載の方法。
- 前記第2開放端(12)の位置で前記ワイヤを終端させる段階と、
前記第2開放端(12)で前記ワイヤ(50、52、54、56、58、60、62、64)を整合させて複数の互いに組になる隣接し合うワイヤにして、複数の並置領域(68、70、72、74)を定める段階と、
前記互いに組になるステントワイヤ(56、62)のうちの少なくとも1本を張出させて、張出したステントワイヤ(56、62)を設ける段階と、
前記張出したステントワイヤ(56、62)をループ状にして、張出した端部をそこに近接している1対のステントワイヤ(52、60、58、64)に当接させるようにした段階と、
前記互いに組になる隣接し合うワイヤ(50、52、54、56、58、60、62、64)を並置領域(68、70、72、74)で互いに固定的に接合する段階と、
前記張出してからループ状にしたワイヤ(56、62)を、近接している1対のワイヤ(52、62、58、64)に固定的に接合して、互いから長手方向に片寄せした1対の固定接合領域(20a、20b)を設ける段階と、
を更に含んでいることを特徴とする、請求項19に記載の方法。 - 前記ワイヤ(50、52、54、56、58、60、62、64)を固定的に接合する前記段階は、前記ワイヤ(50、52、54、56、58、60、62、64)を溶接する段階を含んでおり、更に、前記固定接合領域(68、70、72、74)は溶接部であることを特徴とする、請求項25に記載の方法。
