Description
(1)鉱油及び合成油の少なくとも一種からなる基油に、
(A)増ちょう剤として芳香族ジウレアをグリース全量に対し5〜40質量%、
(B)防錆剤として、それぞれグリース全量に対し、カルボン酸系防錆剤を0.1〜5質量%、カルボン酸塩系防錆剤を0.1〜5質量%、脂肪酸のアミン塩を0.1〜3質量%、
(C)酸化防止剤
を配合してなり、かつ、
ASTM D4170に規定された耐フレッチング試験による重量減が3mg以下であることを特徴とする耐水性グリース組成物。
(2)内輪素子とともに内輪相当部材を構成するハブと、外輪と、前記ハブと前記外輪との間に転動自在に配設された複数の転動体とを備え、
前記ハブと前記外輪との間に形成され前記転動体が配設された空隙部内に、請求項1記載の耐水性グリース組成物を封入してなることを特徴とする車両用ハブユニット軸受。
表1に示す配合にて試験グリースを調製した。そして、試験グリースを用いて下記に示す(1)耐水性試験、(2)耐フレッチング試験及び(3)防錆試験を行った。結果を表1に併記する。
転がり四球試験により、試験グリースの耐水性を評価した。即ち、直径15mmの軸受用鋼球を3個用意し、底面の内径36.0mm、上端部の内径31.63mm、深さ10.98mmの円筒状容器内に正三角形状に置き、試験グリースに水を20%混入させたものを20g塗布し、更に3個の鋼球で形成される窪みに直径5/8インチの軸受用鋼球を1個置き、室温で、直径5/8インチの軸受用鋼球を面圧4.1GPaの負荷を加えながら1000rpmで回転させた。これにより、3個の直径15mmの軸受用鋼球も自転しながら公転するが、剥離が生じるまで連続回転させた。剥離が生じた時点の総回転数を寿命とし、1000×103回転以上を合格とした。
試験グリースについて、ASTM D4170に規定された試験方法により耐フレッチング試験を行い、試験前後の重量差を測定し、下記3ランクに分類した。自動車用としてはAランク及びBランクが好ましいとされており、本試験でもAランク及びBランクを合格とした。
Aランク:重量減が3mg以下
Bランク:重量減が3mg超5mg未満
Cランク:重量減が5mg以上
試験軸受として日本精工(株)製玉軸受「608」を用い、各試験グリースを空間容積の20%となるように封入し、恒湿恒温槽(温度80℃、湿度90%)に入れ、一週間放置した後、目視にて内輪の錆の有無を確認した。錆の個数により、以下のようにランク分けを行った。錆の発生の無いAランクを合格とした。
Aランク:錆の発生無し
Bランク:1〜5個の錆発生
Cランク:6個以上の錆発生

Claims (2)
- 鉱油及び合成油の少なくとも一種からなる基油に、
(A)増ちょう剤として芳香族ジウレアをグリース全量に対し5〜40質量%、
(B)防錆剤として、それぞれグリース全量に対し、カルボン酸系防錆剤を0.1〜5質量%、カルボン酸塩系防錆剤を0.1〜5質量%、脂肪酸のアミン塩を0.1〜3質量%、
(C)酸化防止剤
を配合してなり、かつ、
ASTM D4170に規定された耐フレッチング試験による重量減が3mg以下であることを特徴とする耐水性グリース組成物。 - 内輪素子とともに内輪相当部材を構成するハブと、外輪と、前記ハブと前記外輪との間に転動自在に配設された複数の転動体とを備え、
