a)金属量換算値で0.01〜0.4質量%の、アルカリ金属もしくはアルカリ土類金属のアルキルサリシレート及び/又はアルキルカルボキシレートを含む金属含有清浄剤、
b)窒素量換算値で0.01〜0.3質量%の窒素含有無灰性分散剤及び/又は窒素含有分散型粘度指数向上剤、
c)0.1〜5質量%の脂肪酸と脂肪族アミンとの中和塩、そして
d)0.1〜5質量%の酸化防止剤。
(2)脂肪酸が不飽和脂肪酸で脂肪族アミンが飽和脂肪族アミンである。
(3)脂肪酸が直鎖状の不飽和脂肪酸(特にオレイン酸)である。
(4)脂肪族アミンが直鎖状の飽和脂肪族アミン(特にステアリルアミン)である。
(5)脂肪酸と脂肪族アミンとの中和塩の含有量が0.1〜2質量%の範囲にある。
(6)アルカリ金属もしくはアルカリ土類金属のアルキルサリシレート及び/又はアルキルカルボキシレートの含有量が金属量換算値で0.1〜0.4質量%の範囲にある。
(8)窒素含有無灰性分散剤の質量平均分子量が4500〜20000(GPC分析でのポリスチレン換算質量平均分子量)の範囲にある。
(9)さらにジヒドロカルビルジチオリン酸亜鉛もしくはジヒドロカルビルリン酸亜鉛をリン量換算値で0.01〜0.12質量%含有する。
(10)TBNが2〜15mg・KOH/gの範囲にあるディーゼルエンジン潤滑用潤滑油組成物である。
(11)硫黄含有量が0.01〜0.3質量%(特に、0.01〜0.2質量%)の範囲にある。
(13)酸化防止剤が、フェノール酸化防止剤およびアミン酸化防止剤からなる群より選ばれる少なくとも一種の酸化防止剤を含む。
(14)酸化防止剤が、塩基性窒素化合物(特にコハク酸イミド)のオキシモリブデン錯体を含む。
(15)金属含有清浄剤がさらにアルカリ金属あるいはアルカリ土類金属のスルホネート及び/またはフェネートを含む。
(16)SAE粘度グレードが、0W20、0W30、0W40、5W20、5W30、5W40、10W20、あるいは10W30である。
(17)潤滑油として本発明の潤滑油組成物を用いてディーゼルエンジンを作動させる。
本発明の潤滑油組成物における基油としては、飽和成分が85質量%以上(好ましくは、90質量%以上)、粘度指数が110以上(好ましくは、120以上、さらに好ましくは130以上)、そして硫黄含有量が0.01質量%以下(特に、0.001質量%以下)の鉱油及び/又は合成油を用いることが好ましい。
本発明の潤滑剤組成物は、金属含有清浄剤として、アルカリ金属もしくはアルカリ土類金属のアルキルサリシレート及び/又はアルキルカルボキシレートを含む金属含有清浄剤を用いる。アルカリ金属もしくはアルカリ土類金属のアルキルサリシレート及び/又はアルキルカルボキシレートのみであってもよいが、通常は、これらにアルカリ金属あるいはアルカリ土類金属のスルホネート及び/またはフェネートを組合わせて用いる。
本発明の潤滑油組成物で用いる窒素含有無灰性分散剤は質量平均分子量が4500〜20000の範囲にあることが好ましい。なお、本明細書で云う「質量平均分子量」とは、GPC分析を利用し、ポリスチレンを標準物質として測定した分子量である。
本発明の潤滑油組成物は、摩擦調整剤(摩擦低減剤)として機能する脂肪酸と脂肪族アミンとの中和塩を含有する。脂肪酸は、炭素原子数が8〜30の直鎖状の脂肪酸であることが望ましい。脂肪族アミンも、炭素原子数が8〜30の直鎖状の脂肪族アミンであることが望ましい。また、脂肪酸と脂肪族アミンのいずれか一方の脂肪族基は、不飽和基(例、オレイル基)であることが望ましい。脂肪酸と脂肪族アミンの両方の脂肪族基が、不飽和基(例、オレイル基)であることも好ましい。本発明で用いる脂肪酸と脂肪族アミンとの中和塩の酸価(単位:mg・KOH/g)とアミン価(単位:mg・KOH/g)との差は20以内であることが好ましく、特に15以内で有ることが好ましい。
酸化防止剤としては、従来より知られているフェノール酸化防止剤およびアミン酸化防止剤からなる群より選ばれる少なくとも一種の酸化防止剤を用いることが好ましい。
塩基性窒素化合物のオキシモリブデン錯体は、例えば、下記の方法を利用して製造することができる。
酸性モリブデン化合物もしくはその塩と、こはく酸イミド、カルボン酸アミド、炭化水素モノアミン、炭化水素ポリアミン、マンニッヒ塩基、ホスホン酸アミド、チオホスホン酸アミド、リン酸アミド、分散剤型粘度指数向上剤などの塩基性窒素化合物(混合物であってもよい)を反応温度を120℃以下に維持して反応させてモリブデン錯体とする方法。
また、ジヒドロカルビルジチオリン酸亜鉛の代わりに、ジヒドロカルビルリン酸亜鉛を用いることができる。後者は、硫黄原子を含んでいないため、潤滑油組成物の低硫黄化のためには有利である。
本発明の潤滑油組成物において、アルカリ金属ホウ酸塩水和物の添加も高温清浄性あるいは塩基価の付与の点で効果的である。アルカリ金属ホウ酸塩水和物は5質量%以下、特に0.01〜5質量%含有することができる。アルカリ金属ホウ酸塩水和物は灰分あるいは硫黄分等を含むものが多いが、本発明の潤滑油組成物全体の性状を考慮しながら、添加量を調整することにより効果的に使用することができる。
(1)潤滑油組成物の製造
下記の添加剤(下記の添加量にて)そして基油を用いて本発明の潤滑油組成物(SAE粘度グレード:5W20)を製造した。
[窒素含有無灰性分散剤]
1)ビスタイプこはく酸イミド分散剤−1(質量平均分子量:12800(GPC分析でのポリスチレン換算値、以下同じ)、窒素含量:1.0質量%、塩素含量:30質量ppm、数平均分子量が約2300の高反応性ポリイソブテン(少なくとも約50%がメチルビニリデン構造を有する)と無水マレイン酸とを熱反応法で反応させて得られたポリイソブテニルこはく酸無水物を、平均窒素原子数6.5個(1分子当たり)のポリアルキレンポリアミンと反応させてビスタイプのこはく酸イミドとし、次いでこのビスタイプのこはく酸イミドを炭酸エチレンで反応処理したもの):0.05質量%(Nとして)
1)カルシウムサリシレート(Ca:6.3質量%、S:0.1質量%、TBN:177mg・KOH/g):0.23質量%(Caとして)
2)カルシウムサリシレート(Ca:11.4質量%、S:0.2質量%、TBN:320mg・KOH/g):0.008質量%(Caとして)
3)カルシウムスルホネート(Ca:2.4質量%、S:2.9質量%、TBN:17mg・KOH/g):0.02質量%(Caとして)
1)アミン系酸化防止剤(ジアルキルジフェニルアミン(アルキル基:C4とC8の混合)、N:4.6質量%、TBN:180mgKOH/g):1.1質量%
2)フェノール系酸化防止剤(3−(3,5−ジ−t−ブチル−4−ヒドロキシフェニル)プロピオン酸オクチル):0.2質量%
こはく酸イミドのオキシモリブデン錯体(硫黄含有、Mo:5.5質量%、S:0.2質量%、N:1.6質量%、TBN:10mg・KOH/g、シェブロンジャパン(株)製のOLOA17502):0.4質量%
ジアルキルジチオリン酸亜鉛(P:7.2質量%、Zn:7.8質量%、S:14質量%、炭素原子数3〜8の第二級アルコールから誘導された生成物):0.077質量%(Pとして)
ステアリルアミンのオレイン酸塩(酸価:98mg・KOH/g、アミン価:108mg・KOH/g):0.6質量%
非分散型のエチレンプロピレン共重合体系粘度指数向上剤:1.5質量%
ポリメタクリレート系流動点降下剤:0.3質量%
水素化分解鉱油1(100℃の動粘度:6.3mm2/s、粘度指数:132、蒸発損失(ASTM D5800):5.6質量%、硫黄含有量:0.001質量%未満、飽和成分含有量:92質量%、芳香族成分含有量:8質量%)と水素化分解鉱油2(100℃の動粘度:4.1mm2/s、粘度指数:127、蒸発損失:14質量%、硫黄含有量:0.001質量%未満、飽和成分含有量:92質量%、芳香族成分含有量:8質量%)との50:50(質量比)の混合物
(1)潤滑油組成物の製造
摩擦調整剤を用いなかった以外は、実施例1の基油と添加剤を用い、同じ操作を行なうことにより、比較用の潤滑油組成物を製造した。
(1)潤滑油組成物の製造
摩擦調整剤を同量(0.6質量)の脂肪酸(オレイン酸)に変えた以外は、実施例1の基油と添加剤を用い、同じ操作を行なうことにより、比較用の潤滑油組成物を製造した。
(1)潤滑油組成物の製造
摩擦調整剤を同量(0.6質量)の脂肪族アミン(ステアリルアミン)に変えた以外は、実施例1の基油と添加剤を用い、同じ操作を行なうことにより、比較用の潤滑油組成物を製造した。
(1)潤滑油組成物の製造
摩擦調整剤を同量(0.6質量)の脂肪酸エステル(グリセロールモノオレエート)に変えた以外は、実施例1の基油と添加剤を用い、同じ操作を行なうことにより、比較用の潤滑油組成物を製造した。
(1)潤滑油組成物の製造
摩擦調整剤を、1.1質量の硫化オキシモリブデンチオカルバメート(MoDTC、Mo:4.5質量%、S:4.7質量%)に変えた以外は、実施例1の基油と添加剤を用い、同じ操作を行なうことにより、比較用の潤滑油組成物を製造した。
実施例1そして比較例1〜5で得られた潤滑油組成物の性状を第1表に示す。

(1)HFRR摩擦試験(カーボンブラック分散摩擦試験)
ディーゼルエンジン油における燃焼煤混入をシュミレーションするために、予め、試験油に一定量(0質量%、1質量%、2質量%の三レベル)のカーボンブラック(炭素粉、燃料の不完全燃焼法で製造したもの、平均粒子径:22nm、比表面積:134m2/g)を高速ブレンドし、このカーボンブラック分散試験油について、HFRR試験機を用いて試験(油温:105℃、荷重:400g、摩擦距離:1000μm、往復動周期:20Hz、試験時間:1時間)を行ない、摩擦係数を求めた。結果を第2表に示す。
ディーゼルエンジン油の非鉄金属に対する腐食性を評価した。試験は、試験油に、銅、鉛、そしてリン青銅の金属塩を浸漬し、空気を吹込みながら、油温135℃にて168時間加熱して、油中に溶出した銅、鉛、錫の各金属の量を測定することにより行なった。JASO M355の合格基準と共に試験結果を第2表に示す。

Claims (14)
- 潤滑粘度の基油及び下記の添加剤成分を含み、硫酸灰分量が1.1質量%以下、硫黄含有量が0.5質量%以下、そしてリン含有量が0.12質量%以下であるディーゼルエンジン潤滑用の潤滑油組成物:
a)金属量換算値で0.01〜0.4質量%の、アルカリ金属もしくはアルカリ土類金属のアルキルサリシレート及び/又はアルキルカルボキシレートを含む金属含有清浄剤、
b)窒素量換算値で0.01〜0.3質量%の窒素含有無灰性分散剤及び/又は窒素含有分散型粘度指数向上剤、
c)0.1〜5質量%の脂肪酸と脂肪族アミンとの中和塩、そして
d)0.1〜5質量%の酸化防止剤。 - 脂肪酸と脂肪族アミンとの中和塩が、炭素原子数8〜30の脂肪酸と炭素原子数8〜30の脂肪族アミンとの中和塩である請求項1に記載の潤滑油組成物。
- 脂肪酸が不飽和脂肪酸で脂肪族アミンが飽和脂肪族アミンである請求項2に記載の潤滑油組成物。
- 脂肪酸が直鎖状の不飽和脂肪酸である請求項3に記載の潤滑油組成物。
- 直鎖状の不飽和脂肪酸がオレイン酸である請求項4に記載の潤滑油組成物。
- 脂肪族アミンが直鎖状の飽和脂肪族アミンである請求項3に記載の潤滑油組成物。
- 直鎖状の飽和脂肪族アミンがステアリルアミンである請求項6に記載の潤滑油組成物。
- 脂肪酸と脂肪族アミンとの中和塩の含有量が0.1〜2質量%の範囲にある請求項1に記載の潤滑油組成物。
- アルカリ金属もしくはアルカリ土類金属のアルキルサリシレート及び/又はアルキルカルボキシレートの含有量が金属量換算値で0.1〜0.4質量%の範囲にある請求項1に記載の潤滑油組成物。
- 潤滑粘度の基油が、飽和成分85質量%以上、粘度指数110以上、そして硫黄含有量が0.01質量%以下である請求項1に記載の潤滑油組成物。
- 窒素含有無灰性分散剤の質量平均分子量が4500〜20000の範囲にある請求項1に記載の潤滑油組成物。
- さらにジヒドロカルビルジチオリン酸亜鉛もしくはジヒドロカルビルリン酸亜鉛をリン量換算値で0.01〜0.12質量%含有する請求項1に記載の潤滑油組成物。
- TBNが2〜15mg・KOH/gの範囲にある請求項1に記載の潤滑油組成物。
- 請求項1に記載の潤滑油組成物を用いての潤滑下にてディーゼルエンジンを運転する方法。
