Description
内燃機関の筒内圧を検出する筒内圧検出手段と、
筒内圧に基づいて着火遅れ期間を算出する着火遅れ期間算出手段と、
算出された着火遅れ期間に基づいて、使用燃料が高セタン価燃料であるか否かを判別する高セタン価燃料判別手段と、
使用燃料が高セタン価燃料であると判別された場合に、着火遅れ期間が長くなるように、前記内燃機関の制御パラメータを補正する着火遅れ期間延長手段と、
前記着火遅れ期間延長手段によって着火遅れ期間が延長された後に、筒内圧に基づいて着火遅れ期間を再度算出する着火遅れ期間再算出手段と、
前記着火遅れ期間再算出手段によって算出された着火遅れ期間に基づいて、使用燃料のセタン価を算出するセタン価算出手段と、
を備えることを特徴とする。
前記着火遅れ期間延長手段は、着火遅れ期間に対するセタン価の傾きが所定傾きより緩やかな運転条件となるように、前記制御パラメータを補正することを特徴とする。
前記着火遅れ期間算出手段によって算出された着火遅れ期間に基づいて、使用燃料が低セタン価燃料であるか否かを判別する低セタン価燃料判別手段と、
使用燃料が低セタン価燃料であると判別された場合に、着火遅れ期間が短くなるように、前記内燃機関の制御パラメータを補正する着火遅れ期間短縮手段と、
を更に備え、
前記着火遅れ期間再算出手段は、前記着火遅れ期間短縮手段によって着火遅れ期間が短縮された後に、筒内圧に基づいて着火遅れ期間を算出することを特徴とする。
前記着火遅れ期間短縮手段は、前記内燃機関の燃焼安定性が基準以上となるように、前記制御パラメータを補正することを特徴とする。
[システム構成の説明]
図1は、本発明の実施の形態1のシステム構成を説明するための図である。図1に示すように、本実施形態のシステムは、図1に示すシステムは、車両等に搭載されるディーゼルエンジン(圧縮着火内燃機関)10を備えている。本発明において、ディーゼルエンジン10の気筒数や気筒配置は特に限定されるものではない。図1には、ディーゼルエンジン10の一つの気筒の断面が示されている。
燃料インジェクタ18から燃料が噴射され始めてから着火するまでには、ある程度の遅れが生ずる。この遅れの長さを着火遅れ期間という。着火すると、筒内圧が急上昇するので、筒内圧を検出することにより、実際の着火を検知することができる。本実施形態のシステムでは、ECU50は、筒内圧センサ38で検出される筒内圧に基づいて、着火遅れ期間を算出する機能を有している。
図6および図7は、上記の機能を実現するために本実施形態においてECU50が実行するルーチンのフローチャートである。
(1)アクセルオフ状態であること。
(2)吸入空気量が規定値Ga*以上であること。
(3)エンジン回転数が規定範囲内(例えば、1400rpm以上3000rpm未満)にあること。

Claims (3)
- 内燃機関の筒内圧を検出する筒内圧検出手段と、
筒内圧に基づいて着火遅れ期間を算出する着火遅れ期間算出手段と、
算出された着火遅れ期間が所定の下限値より小さいか否かを判別する判別手段と、
前記算出された着火遅れ期間が前記下限値より小さいと判別された場合に、着火遅れ期間が長くなるように、前記内燃機関の制御パラメータを補正する着火遅れ期間延長手段と、
前記着火遅れ期間延長手段によって着火遅れ期間が延長された後に、筒内圧に基づいて着火遅れ期間を再度算出する着火遅れ期間再算出手段と、
前記着火遅れ期間再算出手段によって算出された着火遅れ期間に基づいて、使用燃料のセタン価を算出するセタン価算出手段と、
を備えることを特徴とする内燃機関の燃料性状検出装置。 - 前記着火遅れ期間延長手段は、着火遅れ期間に対するセタン価の傾きが所定傾きより緩やかな運転条件となるように、前記制御パラメータを補正することを特徴とする請求項1記載の内燃機関の燃料性状検出装置。
- 前記着火遅れ期間算出手段によって算出された着火遅れ期間が所定の上限値より大きいか否かを判別する第2判別手段と、
前記着火遅れ期間算出手段によって算出された着火遅れ期間が前記上限値より大きいと判別された場合に、着火遅れ期間が短くなるように、前記内燃機関の制御パラメータを補正する着火遅れ期間短縮手段と、
を更に備え、
前記着火遅れ期間再算出手段は、前記着火遅れ期間短縮手段によって着火遅れ期間が短縮された後に、筒内圧に基づいて着火遅れ期間を算出することを特徴とする請求項1または2記載の内燃機関の燃料性状検出装置。
