Description
本願は、2003年11月11日出願の米国特許出願第10/704,934号明細書、および2004年5月12日出願の米国仮特許出願第60/570,550号明細書の利益を請求する。
(a)(i)少なくとも1種のE/X/Yコポリマー[式中、Eはエチレンであり、XはC3〜C8のα,βエチレン性不飽和カルボン酸であり、およびYはアルキルアクリレートおよびアルキルメタクリレート(ここでアルキル基は1〜8個の炭素原子を有する)から選択される軟化用コモノマーである]であって、XがE/X/Yコポリマーの約2〜30重量%であり、YがE/X/Yコポリマーの約0〜40重量%であり、酸成分(X)が、完全に中和されたカルボン酸塩の形態または部分的に中和されたカルボン酸塩の形態のいずれかで存在することが可能であるE/X/Yコポリマーと、
(ii)1種以上の有機酸またはその塩(ブレンドの組み合わせカルボン酸塩官能基がカリウム少なくとも部分的に中和されている)と、
(iii)ポリオールおよびポリエステルから選択される1種以上の極性化合物とを含むブレンドと、
(b)任意で少なくとも1種の他の高分子成分とを含み、
フィルムが高周波(RF)エネルギーを吸収することを特徴とする。
Elvaloy AC1224は、エチレンビニルアセテートおよびエチレンメタクリル酸コポリマーのコポリマーブレンドであり、それぞれイー・アイ・デュポン・ドゥ・ヌムール・アンド・カンパニー(E.I.DuPont de Nemours and Company)(DuPont)から入手可能である。
ブレンドのフィルムを、デュポン(DuPont)から市販されているElvaloy(登録商標)AC1224のコポリマーを、5%から15%の間で異なる濃度のRFエンハンサーとブレンドし、このブレンドをプリズムエクストルーダで押出して6〜12ミル間の厚さのフィルムを製造することにより調製し、およびこれらを溶着性についてテストした。フィルムの2つの層を、Kapton(登録商標)シートで裏打ちし、RF供給源の電極の間に置き、僅かな正圧下において、一般に2秒暴露した。
次に、本発明の好ましい態様を示す。

3. 成分(b)が約50〜約95重量%の量で存在する上記2に記載のフィルム。
4. 成分(b)が約70〜約93重量%の量で存在する上記3に記載のフィルム。

6. (a)(i)少なくとも1種のE/X/Yコポリマー[式中、Eはエチレンであり、XはC 3 〜C 8 のα,βエチレン性不飽和カルボン酸であり、およびYはアルキルアクリレートおよびアルキルメタクリレート(ここでアルキル基は1〜8個の炭素原子を有する)から選択される軟化用コモノマーである]であって、XがE/X/Yコポリマーの約2〜30重量%であり、YがE/X/Yコポリマーの約0〜40重量%であり、酸成分(X)が、完全に中和されたカルボン酸塩の形態または部分的に中和されたカルボン酸塩の形態のいずれかで存在することが可能であるE/X/Yコポリマーを含むブレンドと、
(b)任意で少なくとも1種の他の高分子成分と
を含むフィルムであって、
高周波(RF)エネルギーを吸収するフィルム。
Claims (2)
- (a)(i)少なくとも1種のE/X/Yコポリマー[式中、Eはエチレンであり、XはC3〜C8のα,βエチレン性不飽和カルボン酸であり、およびYはアルキルアクリレートおよびアルキルメタクリレート(ここでアルキル基は1〜8個の炭素原子を有する)から選択される軟化用コモノマーである]であって、XがE/X/Yコポリマーの2〜30重量%であり、YがE/X/Yコポリマーの0〜40重量%であり、酸成分(X)が、完全に中和されたカルボン酸塩の形態または部分的に中和されたカルボン酸塩の形態のいずれかで存在することが可能であるE/X/Yコポリマーと、
(ii)少なくとも5重量%の1種以上の有機酸またはその塩と
を含むブレンド(ブレンドの組み合わせカルボン酸塩官能基が、カリウムによって少なくとも部分的に中和されている)と、
(b)少なくとも1種の他の高分子成分と
を含むフィルムであって、
高周波(RF)エネルギーを吸収し、
0.001ミル〜25ミルの厚さを有する、フィルム。 - 多層フィルムであって、
その中の少なくとも1つの層が、0.001ミル〜25ミルの厚さを有し、
(a)(i)少なくとも1種のE/X/Yコポリマー[式中、Eはエチレンであり、XはC3〜C8のα,βエチレン性不飽和カルボン酸であり、およびYはアルキルアクリレートおよびアルキルメタクリレート(ここでアルキル基は1〜8個の炭素原子を有する)から選択される軟化用コモノマーである]であって、XがE/X/Yコポリマーの2〜30重量%であり、YがE/X/Yコポリマーの0〜40重量%であり、酸成分(X)が、完全に中和されたカルボン酸塩の形態または部分的に中和されたカルボン酸塩の形態のいずれかで存在することが可能であるE/X/Yコポリマーを含むブレンドと、
(ii)少なくとも5重量%の1種以上の有機酸またはその塩と
を含むブレンド(ブレンドの組み合わせカルボン酸塩官能基が、カリウムによって少なくとも部分的に中和されている)と、
(b)少なくとも1種の他の高分子成分と
を含み、
高周波(RF)エネルギーを吸収する多層フィルム。
