1.少なくとも2つの異なった周波数帯を介して通信するように構成されたマルチバンドAP群と1つのマルチバンドWTRUの間の無線通信のための方法であって:それぞれのAPがそこで動作するように構成された複数の周波数帯に関する周波数帯情報をそれぞれのAPがブロードキャストすること、該WTRUが、該周波数帯情報を処理すること、および該周波数帯情報に基づき、関連付けるべき特定のAPおよび該特定のAPと通信するために使用する周波数帯を選択すること、のステップを具備することを特徴とする方法。
Claims (16)
- 1つのマルチバンド無線送受信ユニット(Wireless Transmit/Receive Unit:WTRU)内で使用する方法であって、
前記WTRUの複数周波数の能力に関する周波数帯情報を含む探査要求を第1及び第2のマルチバンドアクセスポイント(AP)に送信すること、
前記探査要求内の前記周波数帯情報に応答して、前記第1のマルチバンドAPにより支援される、第1及び第2の周波数帯を含む、複数の周波数帯に関する情報を受信すること、
前記探査要求内の前記周波数帯情報に応答して、前記第2のマルチバンドAPにより支援される、複数の周波数帯に関する周波数帯情報を受信すること、
前記第1の周波数帯上で、前記第1のAPに関連付けること、
前記第1のAP及び前記第1周波数帯に関連付けられた品質指標情報に基づいて、前記第2の周波数帯上で、前記第1のAPに関連付けするか、前記第2のAPにより支援される前記複数の周波数帯のうちの1つの周波数帯上で、前記第2のAPに関連付けするかを決定すること、および、
前記決定に従い、通信するように再構成すること
を具備することを特徴とする方法。 - 前記第1のAPにより支援される複数周波数に関する前記周波数帯情報が、ビーコンフレームにおいて受信されること、を特徴とする請求項1の方法。
- 前記第2のAPに関連付けるために前記決定がなされることは、さらに、前記第2のAPに関連付け要求を送信することを含むことを特徴とする請求項1の方法。
- 前記関連付け要求が、前記WTRUの複数周波数の能力に関する周波数帯情報を含むこと、を特徴とする請求項3の方法。
- 前記第1のAPに管理メッセージを送信することをさらに具備し、前記第1のAPにより支援される複数の周波数帯に関する複数の周波数帯情報が、前記管理メッセージに応答して前記第1のAPから受信されること、を特徴とする請求項1の方法。
- 前記第1のAPにより支援される複数の周波数帯に関する前記周波数帯情報が、前記第1のAPから受信され、前記第2のAPにより支援される複数の周波数帯に関する前記周波数帯情報が、前記第2のAPから受信されること、を特徴とする請求項1の方法。
- 前記第1のAPにより支援される複数の周波数帯に関する前記周波数帯情報が、複数の周波数帯の支援の表示、前記周波数帯のチャンネル番号、およびそれぞれの周波数帯のタイミング情報の少なくとも1つを含むこと、を特徴とする請求項1の方法。
- 前記品質指標情報が、前記第1のAPにより支援される複数の周波数帯のそれぞれの周波数帯に対する経路損失、負荷、スループット、容量、およびバックホールの少なくとも1つを含むこと、を特徴とする請求項1の方法。
- 前記WTRUの複数周波数の能力に関する周波数帯情報を含む探査要求を第1及び第2のマルチバンドアクセスポイント(AP)に送信し、
前記探査要求内の前記周波数帯情報に応答して、前記第1のマルチバンドAPにより支援される、第1及び第2の周波数帯を含む、複数の周波数帯に関する情報を受信し、
前記探査要求内の前記周波数帯情報に応答して、前記第2のマルチバンドAPにより支援される、複数の周波数帯に関する周波数帯情報を受信するように構成される
トランシーバと、
前記第1の周波数帯上で、前記第1のマルチバンドAPに関連付けられ、
前記第1のAP及び前記第1の周波数帯に関連付けられた品質指標情報に基づいて、前記第2の周波数帯上で、前記第1のAPに関連付けするか、前記第2のAPにより支援される前記複数の周波数帯のうちの1つの周波数帯上で、前記第2のAPに関連付けするかを決定するように構成される
プロセッサと
を具備することを特徴とする1つのマルチバンド無線送受信ユニット(Wireless Transmit/Receive Unit:WTRU)。 - 前記トランシーバが、前記第1のAPにより支援される複数周波数に関する前記周波数帯情報を、ビーコンフレームにおいて受信するように構成されることを特徴とする請求項9のWTRU。
- 前記決定は、前記第2のAPに関連付けるためになされ、前記WTRUは、さらに、前記第2のAPに関連付け要求を送信するように構成されたトランシーバを具備することを特徴とする請求項9のWTRU。
- 前記関連付け要求が、前記WTRUの複数周波数の能力に関する周波数帯情報を含むこと、を特徴とする請求項11のWTRU。
- 前記トランシーバは、さらに、前記第1のAPに管理メッセージを送信するようにさらに構成され、前記第1のAPにより支援される複数の周波数帯に関する前記周波数帯情報を、前記管理メッセージに応答して前記第1のAPから受信するように構成されることを特徴とする請求項9のWTRU。
- 前記トランシーバは、さらに、前記第1のAPにより支援される複数の周波数帯に関する前記周波数帯情報を、前記第1のAPから受信し、前記第2のAPにより支援される複数の周波数帯に関する周波数帯情報を、前記第2のAPから受信するように構成されること、を特徴とする請求項9のWTRU。
- 前記第1のAPにより支援される複数の周波数帯に関する前記周波数帯情報が、複数の周波数帯の支援の表示、前記周波数帯のチャンネル番号、およびそれぞれの周波数帯のタイミング情報の少なくとも1つを含むこと、を特徴とする請求項9のWTRU。
- 前記品質指標情報が、前記第1のAPにより支援される複数の周波数帯のそれぞれの周波数帯に対する経路損失、負荷、スループット、容量、およびバックホールの少なくとも1つを含むこと、を特徴とする請求項9のWTRU。
