Claims (3)
- 測定されるべき現像剤材料のタイプ(種類)を選択するセレクタと、
現像剤材料から反射した光量を検出するセンサと、
前記センサにより検出された光量に基づいて、前記現像剤材料のトナー濃度に対応する値を求める制御装置と、
光源に結合された複数のエミッタファイバ及び前記センサに結合された複数の検出器ファイバを含む光ファイバ束アセンブリと、
を具備し、
前記複数のエミッタファイバ及び前記複数の検出器ファイバが前記光ファイバ束アセンブリの一端にわたって均一に分布するようにランダムに配置される、
ことを特徴とするトナー濃度測定装置。 - 前記センサにより検出される光量に対応する少なくとも1つのトナー濃度の値を記憶するメモリをさらに具備し、
前記制御装置が、前記センサにより検出された前記光量に基づいて前記メモリから前記トナー濃度の値を検索する、請求項1に記載のトナー濃度測定装置。 - 前記光ファイバ束アセンブリを受け入れ、透明な窓を有する囲いをさらに具備し、
前記エミッタファイバにより発せられた光が前記窓を通過し、かつ、該窓を通して受け入れられた光が前記検出器ファイバに伝達されるようになっており、
前記窓は、前記光ファイバ束アセンブリに対して実質的に45度の角度をなすように配向される、請求項1に記載のトナー濃度測定装置。
