Description
前記ベーパーセパレータタンクは、エンジンに供給する燃料を貯留するもので、内部に高圧燃料ポンプが設けられている。また、このベーパーセパレータタンクは、前記高圧ポンプが吐出した燃料をインジェクタ側へ供給する高圧燃料供給管が接続されるとともに、インジェクタに供給した燃料のうち余剰分が戻される高圧燃料戻り管が接続されている。
このように構成された従来の船外機においては、船体内の主燃料タンク内の燃料が低圧燃料ポンプによって船外機内のベーパーセパレータタンクに供給され、ベーパーセパレータタンク内の燃料が高圧燃料ポンプによってインジェクタに供給される。
なお、本出願人は、本明細書に記載した先行技術文献情報で特定される先行技術文献以外には、本発明に密接に関連する先行技術文献を出願時までに見付け出すことはできなかった。
請求項3に記載した発明に係る船外機は、請求項2に記載した発明に係る船外機において、換気ダクトの空気通路の途中に空気穴より高い位置に延びる上方延在部を形成したものである。
したがって、エンジンが高温の状態で停止したときに低圧燃料系内に燃料を液体の状態で貯留しておくことができるから、エンジンが再始動した直後から低圧燃料ポンプによってベーパーセパレータタンク内に燃料を供給することができる。この結果、本発明に係る船外機は、いかなる運転状況においても、エンジンを再始動後に停止することなく連続して運転することができる。
以下、本発明に係る船外機の一実施の形態を図1ないし図3によって詳細に説明する。
図1は本発明に係る船外機の側面図、図2はカウリングと断熱室の縦断面図、図3は要部を破断して示すカウリングの正面図である。図3の破断部分は、図2におけるIII−III線断面図である。
低圧燃料ポンプ14は、駆動用モータ(図示せず)を内蔵し、内部の駆動軸の軸線方向が上下方向を指向する状態で断熱用ケース24に取り付けられている。この低圧燃料ポンプ14の上端部には、燃料吐出口(図示せず)が形成され、前記下流側低圧燃料供給管22が接続されている。低圧燃料ポンプ14の下端部には、燃料吸込口(図示せず)が形成され、後述する上流側低圧燃料供給管25が接続されている。
前記燃料フィルタ28は、図3に示すように、後述する断熱用ケース24に固定用ボルト30によって取付けられており、この断熱用ケース24を介してボトムカウリング8に支持されている。
断熱用ケース24の前記右側凸部32は、燃料フィルタ28を上方から覆う筒状に形成されている。燃料フィルタ28は、右側凸部32の上壁の下面に前記固定用ボルト30によって取付けられている。この固定用ボルト30は、前記上壁の上方から上壁を貫通し、燃料フィルタ28に螺着している。
カウリング7の前端部には、図4および図5に示すように換気ダクトを形成することができる。
図4は他の実施の形態を示す縦断面図、図5は要部を破断して示すカウリングの正面図である。図5の破断部は図4におけるV−V線断面図である。これらの図において、前記図1〜図3によって説明したものと同一もしくは同等の部材については、同一符号を付し詳細な説明を適宜省略する。
前記凹陥部52は、トップカウリング9の前面における上部の左右方向の中央部分を部分的に後方へ凹ませるようにして形成されている。この凹陥部52の下側の水平壁52aにおける左右方向の中央部には、この水平壁52aを貫通する穴54が形成されている。この穴54は、断熱用ケース24の上端部に設けられた筒状シール部材55によって断熱室36の上端部に接続されている。
Claims (3)
- エンジンを覆うカウリングの内部にベーパーセパレータタンクおよび高圧燃料ポンプを有する高圧燃料系と、低圧燃料ポンプを有する低圧燃料系とが設けられた船外機において、前記カウリング内にエンジン収容空間とは画成された断熱室を形成し、この断熱室に前記低圧燃料系の部品を収納し、
前記断熱室を大気中に開放する開口を前記カウリングの下面に形成したことを特徴とする船外機。 - 請求項1記載の船外機において、断熱室をカウリングの前部に形成し、このカウリングの前部に、カウリング前面に開口する空気穴から前記断熱室に延びる空気通路が形成された換気ダクトを設けた船外機。
- 請求項2記載の船外機において、換気ダクトの空気通路の途中に空気穴より高い位置に延びる上方延在部を形成した船外機。
