(1)各試料の重量を測定する(基礎重量)。
(2)試料1については第1の不織布22の表面に、試料2〜3については樹脂層30の表面に、容器に入った10gの水を掛ける。

Claims (14)
- 主繊維とバインダ繊維とを含む不織布を有する車両外装用吸音材であって、
前記不織布は、該不織布の表面に付与されたパウダ状樹脂が該不織布と共に加熱されて圧縮されて冷却されることにより形成された樹脂層を備え、
前記樹脂層は、前記パウダ状樹脂が溶融して形成された融着樹脂部と、前記パウダ状樹脂が粒子状態のまま残存した粒子残存部とを有し、前記融着樹脂部及び前記粒子残存部は前記樹脂層全体にわたって分布し、前記粒子残存部間に形成されている微細孔により、前記樹脂層の表面側から前記不織布側にかけて通気可能なポーラスである一方、
前記樹脂層の表面が車両外部に面するように前記不織布側が前記車両に取り付けられ、この状態で前記不織布の繊維の一部が前記樹脂層を貫通して該樹脂層の表面に点在して露出し、これらの露出した繊維の周囲にさらに微細孔が形成されやすいようにしたことを特徴とする車両外装用吸音材。 - 前記パウダ状樹脂の一部が前記不織布層内に入り込んで粒子状態で残存し、該不織布層内の粒子状態のパウダ状樹脂の表面が不織布層の主繊維及び/又はバインダ繊維と融着している請求項1に記載の車両外装用吸音材。
- 前記不織布の主繊維はポリエチレンテレフタレート繊維からなり、
前記バインダ繊維は前記主繊維のポリエチレンテレフタレート繊維よりも融点が低い低融点ポリエチレンテレフタレート繊維及び/又は低融点ポリプロピレン繊維からなる請求項1に記載の車両外装用吸音材。 - 前記パウダ状樹脂はポリエチレンパウダであり、該ポリエチレンパウダの付与量が50〜300g/m2である請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の車両外装用吸音材。
- 前記不織布は、目付が300〜500g/m2であり、前記主繊維としてのポリエチレンテレフタレート繊維が20〜50質量%、前記バインダ繊維としての低融点ポリプロピレン繊維又は低融点ポリエチレンテレフタレート繊維が50〜80質量%である請求項3又は4に記載の車両外装用吸音材。
- 前記不織布は、目付が100〜300g/m2であり、前記主繊維としてのポリエチレンテレフタレート繊維が50〜70質量%、前記バインダ繊維としての低融点ポリプロピレン繊維及び低融点ポリエチレンテレフタレート繊維が30〜50質量%である請求項3又は4に記載の車両外装用吸音材。
- 前記ポリエチレンパウダの密度が、0.910〜0.965g/cm3である請求項4に記載の車両外装用吸音材。
- 前記不織布の前記樹脂層と反対側の面に貼り合わされた第2の不織布を備える請求項1〜7のいずれか1項に記載の車両外装用吸音材。
- 前記第2の不織布は目付が500〜1500g/m2であり、
前記第2の不織布の主繊維はポリエチレンテレフタレート繊維からなり、
前記第2の不織布のバインダ繊維は前記主繊維のポリエチレンテレフタレート繊維よりも融点が低い低融点ポリエチレンテレフタレート繊維及び/又は低融点ポリプロピレン繊維からなる請求項8に記載の車両外装用吸音材。 - 前記第2の不織布は、前記主繊維としてのポリエチレンテレフタレート繊維が30〜50質量%、前記バインダ繊維としての低融点ポリプロピレン繊維及び/又は低融点ポリエチレンテレフタレート繊維が50〜70質量%である請求項9に記載の車両外装用吸音材。
- 車両外装用吸音材を製造する方法であって、
主繊維とバインダ繊維とを含む不織布の車両外部側になる表面にパウダ状樹脂を付与するステップと、
前記不織布と前記付与されたパウダ状樹脂とを該パウダ状樹脂の融点より25〜50℃高い温度で50〜100秒間加熱して該パウダ状樹脂の一部を粒子状態のまま残存させつつ溶融させるステップと、
前記加熱された不織布とパウダ状樹脂とを圧縮して冷却することにより、前記不織布の表面に樹脂層を形成するステップとを含み、
前記不織布の表面に前記パウダ状樹脂を付与するステップを行う際には、前記不織布の繊維の一部を前記パウダ状樹脂の表面に点在して露出させ、
前記樹脂層を形成するステップでは、前記樹脂層は、前記パウダ状樹脂が溶融して形成された融着樹脂部と、前記パウダ状樹脂が粒子状態のまま残存した粒子残存部とを有し、前記融着樹脂部及び前記粒子残存部は前記樹脂層全体にわたって分布し、前記粒子残存部間に微細孔が形成されることにより、前記樹脂層の表面側から前記不織布側にかけて通気可能なポーラスとなる一方、前記樹脂層の表面に前記不織布の繊維の一部が点在して露出することにより、これらの露出している繊維の周囲にさらに微細孔が形成されやすいようにしたことを特徴とする車両外装用吸音材の製造方法。 - 前記パウダ状樹脂を付与するステップの前に、二種の不織布を貼り合わせることにより前記不織布を形成するステップを更に含む請求項11に記載の車両外装用吸音材の製造方法。
- 前記パウダ状樹脂がポリエチレンパウダであり、該ポリエチレンパウダの付与量が50〜300g/m 2 である請求項11又は12に記載の車両外装用吸音材の製造方法。
- 前記ポリエチレンパウダの密度は、0.910〜0.965g/cm 3 である請求項13に記載の車両外装用吸音材の製造方法。
