この発明は、トランクとか運搬車などに取り付けるキャスター用の車輪に関する。

【従来の技術】
図1は所望の器具や器物に取り付けるキャスターの構成の一例を示し、キャスター10は取付金具20と車輪30とで構成されている。21は所望の器具、器物への取付部、22は車輪保持部、23は車軸、24は車軸23を車輪保持部22に固定するナットを夫々示している。又車輪30は、ホイール部をナイロン、トレッド部をウレタンで形成されている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
車輪は前述の如く、ウレタンやナイロンなどで形成されているので、使用して熱くなった場合とか、あるいは暑いところで使用した場合などには、ナイロンが軟らかくなって車軸に粘着し、キャスターとしての機能を果たせなくなるという不具合を免れない。

それを防ごうとすれば、高価な軸受を使用せざるを得ず、キャスターとしてコスト的に採算が取れなくなるという欠点があった。

【課題を解決するための手段】
この発明は前記の欠点を解消するために、キャスター用車輪において、車輪のハブの部分に車軸貫通孔を取り囲んで突出部を設けることによりハブ凹所を形成し、該凹部に断面コ字状のキャップを密嵌し、ハブ凹所とキャップとによって形成される密閉空間内に潤滑剤を充填しうるように構成されていることを特徴とするキャスター用車輪を得たものである。

【発明の実施の形態】
図2はこの発明の車輪30の斜視図であって、ハブ33の部分において車軸貫通孔34を取り囲んで突出部35を設け、ハブ凹所36を形成する。図3はキャップ40の斜視図、図4は図3のA−A断面図であって、キャップ40は前面41と周壁42とを有する略コ字状の断面を有し、前面41に車軸貫通孔43を有している。ハブ凹所36の内径とキャップ40の外径とを殆ど同じにし、図5に示すように、ハブ凹所36にキャップ40を、前面41を外側にして密嵌する。そのとき形成される密封空間に潤滑剤を充填しておけば、潤滑材は逐次ハブ33の車軸貫通孔34と車軸23との間に流入し、車軸の円滑な回転を確保するとともに、同時に温度上昇を防ぐことができる。
