自動車用空気調和装置は周知のように、ケース内に配設したヒータコアに温水給排用のヒータパイプを接続固定してあって、該ヒータパイプの端部をダッシュパネルに貫通させてエンジンルーム内に突出させ、該ヒータパイプ端をエンジンの冷却系から分岐したヒータチューブを接続するようにしている。

また、ヒータパイプの端部には耐熱性のゴム材からなるシール用のグロメットを装着して、該グロメットをダッシュパネルのヒータパイプが貫通した周縁部に密接させてシールするようにしている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
ケース内のヒータコアの配設レイアウトによっては、該ヒータコアに接続したヒータパイプをケース側壁の外側に沿設配置しなければならない場合が考えられる。

ヒータパイプをケース側壁の外側に配管した場合、該ヒータパイプに乗員の脚部が直接触れることがないようにカバーでヒータパイプを覆う必要がある。

請求項1の発明にあっては、ヒータコアに接続したヒータパイプを該ヒータコアを配設したケースの側壁の外側に沿設配置した構造であって、前記ヒータパイプの外側を合成樹脂製のパイプカバーで被覆して該パイプカバーをケースの側壁に固定し、該パイプカバーの端部にはブラケット部を一体成形して該ブラケット部にその一側縁からヒータパイプの端部を挿入する切欠部を形成する一方、ケースの側壁に前記ブラケット部の切欠部が開口する側の側縁が係合するブラケット支持壁を突設し、該ブラケット部をその切欠部にヒータパイプの端部を挿入してブラケット支持壁に係合すると共に、ヒータパイプ端に該ヒータパイプが貫通するダッシュパネルの貫通孔縁部に密接するシール用のグロメットを装着し、該グロメットを前記ブラケット部とブラケット支持壁にこれらを覆って嵌着して、該グロメットによりブラケット部をブラケット支持壁に固定したことを特徴としている。
