本発明は、外反母趾を矯正するための矯正用サポーターに関する。

【従来の技術】
外反母趾とは、図4に示すように、母趾が第2趾の方に屈曲した状態を指し、かかとが高く先がとがった靴を無理にはいて歩行することに起因するといわれている。外反母趾の内部骨格をみると、図5に示すように、▲1▼母趾1が外反し、▲2▼第1中足骨2の骨頭の肥厚、▲3▼種子骨3の外側転移、▲4▼第1中足骨2の内反という現象が生じている。この状態になると、重心が正しい位置(第1中足骨と第2中足骨の間)に落ちず、放置すればいずれ膝に負担が掛かり、膝関節の疼痛の引金ともなり得ると考えられている。

いわゆる装具療法における外反母趾の矯正方法としては、母趾に対し内反方向へ向く外力を加え、第1中足骨に対し外反方向に向く外力を加えるというものであり、そのための装具が種々開発されている。
例えば実開平60−71213号公報には、伸縮性のある布地製で、略截頭円錐形状のバンド本体と、該バンド本体の大径側基端縁から斜めに延出せしめた先端に係止部を有する帯状の固定ベルトからなる足関節保持バンドが記載されている。

また、実開平60−144414号公報には、母趾にかぶせた袋部に2本の伸縮性のあるベルトの一端をそれぞれ固着し、一方のベルトは足甲を斜めに横切って足首を巻き回し、該ベルトの足甲部に面ファスナーで固着し、他方のベルトは足底から足甲部へ巻き回して足首において前記一方のベルトに面ファスナーで固着した外反母趾装具が記載されている。
さらに、特公平2−12094号公報には、足指の第1中足指関節部分全体を覆い巻きできる幅と長さを有する関節固定用バンドと、該関節固定用バンドに連結された袋状の親指包容部と、該親指包容部の外方側面に一端が固定された引張用バンドからなり、親指を親指包容部に入れて関節固定用バンドを足に巻き回し、引張用バンドをかかとの方に回してから前に出し関節固定用バンドに固着するようにした外反母趾矯正用サポーターが記載されている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
ところで、第1中足骨骨頭は丸く関節において骨が動きやすいため、母趾が圧迫を受けて外反すると、第1中足骨は逆に内反して圧迫を取り除こうとする。従って、外反母趾においては、図4及び図5の矢印に示すように、母趾の外反と同時に第1中足骨の内反が起こる。そして、このとき同時に、母趾には右回りのひねり、第1中足骨には左回りのひねり(いずれも右足の場合、左足ではいずれも対称向きとなる)が生じている。

従って、外反母趾を矯正して母趾及び第1中足骨を正しい位置に戻すには、単に母趾に内反方向の外力を加え、第1中足骨に外反方向の外力を加えるというだけでなく、同時にこのひねりを矯正する外力を加える必要がある。ところが、前記従来例はいずれも外反母趾におけるひねりについて着目したものではなく、外反母趾を矯正する装具として十分な機能を持っていない。具体的には、実開平60−71213号公報の足関節保持具は母趾を内反させる力がなく、ひねりを矯正する力もなく、外反母趾の矯正は困難であり、実開平60−144414号公報の外反母趾装具及び特公平2−12094号公報の関節固定用バンドは、単に母趾1を内反方向へ押し、第1中足骨2を外反方向へ押す機能しか持っていない。

本発明は、このような従来技術の問題点に鑑みてなされたもので、母趾に対し内反方向へ向く外力を加え、第1中足骨に対し外反方向に向く外力を加え、同時に母趾と第1中足骨に前記のひねりを矯正する外力を加えることのできる外反母趾矯正用サポーターを提供することを目的とする。

【課題を解決するための手段】
本発明に係る外反母趾矯正用サポーターは、足指の第1中足指関節部全体を覆い足底及び足甲の周囲に装着される関節部装着部と、母趾の周囲に装着される母趾装着部と、該母趾装着部の第2趾側と前記関節部装着部の第1趾側を斜めにつないで装着され、両者の間に引張力を作用させ、拇趾と第1中足骨にひねりを矯正する外力を加える連結ベルトからなることを特徴とする。また、本発明に係る外反母趾矯正用サポーターは、足指の第1中足指関節部全体を覆い足底及び足甲の周囲に装着される関節部装着部と、母趾の周囲に装着される母趾装着部と、該母趾装着部の第2趾側と前記関節部装着部の第1趾側を斜めにつないで装着され、両者の間に引張力を作用させる1本の連結ベルトからなり、前記連結ベルトは前記拇指装着部の第2趾側から拇趾の甲側を通り第1中足指関節部の第1中足骨側に達することを特徴とする。

【発明の実施の形態】
これの具体的な形態として、上記関節部装着部は足指の第1中足指関節部全体を覆い足底及び足甲の周囲を巻いて装着される関節部装着ベルトであり、また、上記母趾装着部は筒状とされ、ここに母趾が挿入される。
さらに具体的な形態として、上記関節部装着部が足指の第1中足指関節部全体を覆い足底及び足甲の周囲を巻いて装着される関節部装着ベルトであり、上記母趾装着部が該関節部装着ベルトの前方につながって筒状をなし、上記連結ベルトが前記母趾装着部から伸び、前記関節部装着ベルトと連結ベルトは着脱自在に装着するためのファスナーを備える。

このサポーターは、関節部装着部、母趾装着部及び連結ベルトのいずれも、多少とも伸縮性を持つのが好ましい。
また、母趾と第1中足骨の間にひねりを加えるためには、母趾装着部と関節部装着部の内面側は皮膚に対して滑りにくい材質で構成されることが好ましく、むれ防止のためには通気性があることが好ましい。皮膚に対して滑りにくい材質としては、例えば、ネオプレンゴムを張った素材、ウレタンフィルム、ウレタン樹脂発泡体等、いずれも周知の素材が挙げられる。ウレタン樹脂発泡体は通気性がよいという利点もある。

以下、図1〜図3を参照して、本発明に係る外反母趾矯正用サポーターをより具体的に説明する。なお、ここに示す例は、本質的に1枚の素材から形成されたサポーターであり、図1はサポーターの装着状態を示す図、図2及び図3は関節部装着ベルトを略半分に曲げた状態と伸ばした状態を示す図である。

このサポーターは、足指の第1中足指関節部全体を覆う幅と足底及び足甲の周囲を巻いて装着する長さを持つ関節部装着ベルト4と、該関節部装着ベルト4の前方につながる筒状の母趾装着部5と、該母趾装着部5から伸び該母趾装着部の第2趾側(矢印a)と関節部装着ベルト1の第1趾側(矢印b)を斜めにつないで装着し、両者の間に引張力を作用させる連結ベルト6からなる。また、関節部装着ベルト4の一方の端と連結ベルト6の先端には、これらを装着時に着脱自在に固定するための面ファスナー7、8が取り付けられている。

このサポーターの素材は、一方の面がウレタン樹脂発泡体で構成され、他方の面が前記面ファスナー7、8と対になってこれを固定できるファスナー材で構成され、ウレタン樹脂発泡体の側が内面側になるようにして、母趾装着部5が筒状に縫いつけられている(縫いつけ部9)。なお、母趾装着部5は母趾を軽く締め付ける程度の筒状とするのがよい。

装着する際は、縫いつけ部9が第2趾側(矢印a)にくるように母趾を筒状の母趾装着部6に挿入し、関節部装着ベルト4の一方の側4aを第1中足指関節部から足底を通り足甲にやや引っ張るようにして巻き回し、他方の側4bをやや引っ張るようにして足甲に巻き、面ファスナー7により前記一方の側の面に固定する。次に連結ベルト6を斜め後方に向けて引っ張り、面ファスナー8により第1中足指関節部を覆う関節部装着ベルト4の第1趾側(矢印b)の面に固定する。このとき、面ファスナーによる固定箇所が第1中足指関節部の中心より伸びて第1中足骨側にくるようにする。

このようにすることで、図1の矢印Aに示すように、第1中足指関節部に外反方向に押さえる力が作用して第1中足骨に外反方向に矯正する外力が加わり、また、矢印Bに示すように、母趾装着部5と関節部装着ベルト4の間に斜めの引っ張り力が作用し、母趾に内反方向に矯正する外力が加わると同時に、母趾と第1中足骨にひねりを矯正する外力が加えられる(連結ベルト6により関節部を挟んで母趾と第1中足骨にひねりが与えられる)。
