本発明は、人工芝製運動場およびその施工方法に関し、さらに詳しく言えば、パイル間(芝目内)に硬質粒状物と弾性粒状物の2種類の粒状物を充填してなる人工芝製運動場およびその施工技術に関するものである。

【従来の技術】
テニスコートを初めとして、サッカー場や野球場などの各種運動競技場の表層材として、基布にナイロンやポリプロピレンなどの合成樹脂パイルを植設した人工芝が広く使用されているが、多くの場合、例えばスライデング時における摩擦火傷の防止やプレー性の面で適度な弾力性を得るために、その芝目内に粒状物を充填するようにしている。

粒状物入り人工芝の例をいくつか挙げると、特開昭62−63701号公報には粒状物としてゴムチップを充填した人工芝が提案されている(第1従来例)。実公平1−6863号公報には下層をゴムチップとし、その上層を砂とした人工芝が提案されている(第2従来例)。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】

【課題を解決するための手段】
本発明によれば、特に芝丈(パイル長)が30mm以上のロングパイルであっても、硬質粒状物と弾性粒状物の各充填層のレベルが均一化された人工芝製運動場が得られる。
また、本発明の施工方法によれば、硬質粒状物と弾性粒状物の各粒状物の充填が容易であり、人工芝内において硬質粒状物と弾性粒状物の混合物からなる中間層を得ることができる。

【発明の実施の形態】
次に、本発明の実施の形態を図面を参照しながら説明する。図1は本発明による人工芝製運動場の一部を模式的に示した断面図で、図2にはその施工方法が工程順に図解されている。

人工芝1は、従来と同様に例えば平織り布からなる基布2を有し、この基布2にはナイロン繊維もしくはポリプロピレン繊維などからなるパイル3が多数植設されているが、本発明は、パイル長が30mm以上のロングパイルのものに好ましく適用される。この実施形態で、パイル3は50〜60mmの長さを有している。
