【発明の属する技術分野】本発明は、電気接続箱の防水
構造に関するものである。
【0002】
【従来の技術】図4において、電気接続箱1は鉄板をプ
レス加工することにより形成された箱本体2とカバー3
とから成る。箱本体2の内部には、図示しないヒュー
ズ、リレー等の電気部品とブスバー配線板とが電気的に
接続された状態で収容されている。
【0003】箱本体2は上方が開放されると共に前壁が
切り欠かれて開口2aが形成されており、開口2aの周
囲には、上記カバー3に対する突き合せ面4が形成さ
れ、この突き合せ面4には複数個のねじ挿通孔5が穿設
されている。
【0004】カバー3の箱本体2に対する突き合せ面6
には、上記ねじ挿通孔5に対応するねじ挿通孔7が穿設
されている。
【0005】電気接続箱1は、図5に示される如く、両
突き合せ面4と6との間にゲル状のシール材8を介在さ
せ、ボルト9とナット10とによって締付固定すること
により、防水シールをする構造が施こされている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】上記従来技術にあって
は、箱本体2の上方が開放されると共に前壁が切り欠か
れて広範囲に開口2aが形成されているので、防水シー
ルを施こす範囲が広い。また、両突き合せ面4,6間に
介在するシール材8がゲル状である為、均一な防水シー
ルが成されるように、ボルト9の締付作業を行うことが
非常に困難である。即ち、ある箇所によっては、シール
材8が過度に押し付けられ、図5中の仮想線で示すよう
な突き合せ面4,6の盛り上がりが生じ、シール材8が
はみ出してしまう。これにより、防水シール性にむらが
生じ、防水構造の信頼性が低下するという問題点があっ
た。
【0007】本発明は、上記問題点を解決するため、箱
本体のカバーに対する突き合せ面と、カバーの突き合せ
面との間にゲル状のシール材が介在する場合であって
も、全体的に均一な防水シールが成されて信頼性の高い
電気接続箱の防水構造を提供することを目的とする。

【課題を解決するための手段】上記の目的を達成するた
め、本発明においては、箱本体とカバーの突き合せ面に
複数個のねじ挿通孔を形成するとともに、該突き合せ面
間にゲル状のシール材を介在させて締付固定し、防水シ
ールする電気接続箱の防水構造において、前記箱本体の
突き合せ面に前記カバーに向かって凸でかつ上部は前記
カバーの突き合せ面と当接して前記シール材を溜めると
ともに、前記ねじ挿通孔の全周を包囲する堰状のシール
溜めを設ける構成を採用した。

【発明の実施の形態】以下、本発明の一実施の形態を図
面に基づいて説明する。図1は電気接続箱の分解斜視
図、図2は図1の突き合せ面間に設けられたシール溜め
の拡大図、図3は図1の突き合せ面間にシール材を介在
した状態を示す断面図である。尚、従来例と同一の構成
の部分は同一符号を付して説明を略す。
【0011】図1において、電気接続箱1は箱本体2と
そのカバー3とを備え、箱本体2の上方と共に前方が開
放されており、箱本体2とカバー3の突き合せ面4,6
には複数のねじ挿通孔5,7が設けられている。また、
箱本体2の内部には上部ケース11とブスバー配線板1
2とが電気的に接続された状態で収容されている。上部
ケース11にはヒューズ、リレー、電圧センサ及び電圧
検出器等の電気部品(図示しない)を組付けるコネクタ
13a,13b…(総称してコネクタ13とする)等が
基板14上に配置されている。ブスバー配線板12に
は、上面及び下面にブスバー15が配設され、各ブスバ
ーのタブ15a及び15bが上方及び下方へ突出されて
いる。コネクタ13はタブ15aに図示しない雌−雌中
継端子を介して電気的に接続されている。
【0012】以上は、従来例と同様の構成であるが、本
発明にあっては、図1ないし図3に示される如く、箱本
体2側の突き合せ面4にシール材8を溜める堰状のシー
ル溜め16を複数個設ける。各シール溜め16はねじ挿
通孔5の周囲に周設されると共に、カバー3側の突き合
せ面6に向けて突出した壁状に形成されている。シール
溜め16は突き合せ面4をプレス加工する際にねじ挿通
孔5の打ち抜きとともに、円形に打ち出して形成する。
打ち出し高さは、シール材8のシール性を考慮して適宜
設定する。
【0013】上記構成において、箱本体2の突き合せ面
4にゲル状のシール材8を塗布すると共に、シール留め
16にもシール材8を充填し、カバー3を箱本体2に被
せてねじ孔同士を一致させる。次に、ボルト9をカバー
3側のねじ挿通孔7から挿入し、シール材8を通して箱
本体2側のねじ挿通孔5に挿通する。ボルト9をナット
10で締付けると、図3に示される如くに、カバー3側
の突き合せ面6がシール溜め16の上部に当接し、箱本
体2とカバー3とがしっかりと固定される。
【0014】従って、ボルト9をナット10で締付けて
も、カバー3側の突き合せ面6とシール溜め16の上部
との当接によって両突き合せ面4と6の間隔が一定に保
たれるので、両突き合せ面4と6の間に介在するシール
材8が均一化される。これにより、過度の締付けによる
シール材8のはみ出しが防止される。また、シール溜め
16の内部にもシール材8が溜められるので、ねじ挿通
孔5,7からの水の浸入が確実に防止される。

【発明の効果】本発明は上記した如くに、箱本体とカバ
ーの突き合せ面に複数個のねじ挿通孔を形成するととも
に、該突き合せ面間にゲル状のシール材を介在させて締
付固定し、防水シールする電気接続箱の防水構造におい
て、前記箱本体の突き合せ面に、前記シール材を溜め、
前記カバーの突き合せ面と係合する堰状のシール溜めを
設けるものであるから、ボルトをナットで締付けても、
カバー側の突き合せ面とシール溜めの上部との当接によ
って、両突き合せ面の間隔が一定に保たれるので、シー
ル材を均一化することができる。これにより、過度の締
付けによるシール材のはみ出しを防止することができ
る。
