【発明の詳細な説明】
【０００１】
【産業上の利用分野】本発明は、ビデオカメラ等のリモ
ートコントロール操作による遠隔撮影を可能にし、情報
量が多く、より一層の多機能化が可能なビデオモニタ付
リモートコントローラに関するものである。
【０００２】
【従来の技術】従来より、ＶＴＲ（ビデオテープレコー
ダ）などでは、手元で対象機器を遠隔操作するためのリ
モートコントローラが広く使われている。その中には、
ＬＣＤパネル等の文字表示ディスプレイを持ち、モード
毎に各種の文字やグラフィック情報を表示して操作の便
を図ったものが知られている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】しかしながら、ビデオ
カメラ等を考えた場合、撮影対象が再現不可能な一瞬の
特定物であり、ビューファインダの画像を見なければ、
所望のアングルや画角で撮影することができないため
に、結局ビデオカメラを覗かなければ十分な操作が出来
ないので、リモートコントロール操作による遠隔撮影は
困難であった。
【０００４】本発明は、上記問題点を解決するためにな
されたものであり、その目的は、ビデオカメラ等の撮像
装置のリモートコントロール操作による遠隔撮影を可能
にし、かつ情報量を増やして多機能化を可能にするビデ
オモニタ付リモートコントローラを提供することにあ
る。

【課題を解決するための手段】上記の目的を達成するた
め、本発明のビデオモニタ付リモートコントローラにお
いては、ワイヤレスもしくはワイヤードで外部の撮像装
置から少なくとも該撮像装置の撮像した映像信号を受信
する信号受信部と、前記映像信号に基づく画像と共に前
記撮像装置の遠隔操作に係る情報を表示する画像表示部
と、前記遠隔操作用のキーを有する操作部と、前記操作
部のキー入力に対応する表示情報および遠隔操作の制御
情報を生成する制御部と、前記制御部で生成した前記制
御情報をワイヤレスもしくはワイヤードで前記撮像装置
に送信する信号送信部とを備え、前記画像表示部には、
前記制御部で生成した前記表示情報が、前記信号送信部
から送信された制御情報によって制御された前記撮像装
置からの前記映像信号に基づく画像に重畳して表示され
ることを特徴としている。

【作用】本発明のビデオモニタ付リモートコントローラ
では、通常のリモートコントローラに、ビデオ信号入力
部と画像表示部とを設け、この画像表示部に撮像装置か
らのリアルタイムの映像を表示し、この映像に撮像装置
のリモートコントロール操作に必要な表示情報を重畳し
て表示する。これにより、操作者が手元で撮像装置のリ
モートコントロール操作結果の映像をモニタ出来るよう
にし、その撮像装 置のビューファインダを覗いたような
感覚で、リモートコントロール操作による遠隔撮影を可
能にする。さらに、画像表示部により表示情報の増加を
可能にし、リモートコントロール操作の多機能化を可能
にする。

【実施例】以下、本発明の実施例を、図面を参照して詳
細に説明する。
【０００８】図１は本発明の一実施例の構成を示すブロ
ック図である。本実施例は、赤外線信号受信部１、ＬＣ
Ｄ（液晶表示）ディスプレイ２、キーマトリックス３、
マイクロコンピュータ（以下ＣＰＵと記す）４、キャラ
クタジェネレータ５、エンコーダ６、赤外線信号送信部
７などから構成する。赤外線信号受信部１は、赤外線信
号利用のワイヤレスでビデオカメラ等からビデオ信号を
受信する。ＬＣＤディスプレイ２は、このビデオ信号を
入力して例えば４インチ程度の画面にビデオ画像および
ビデオカメラ等のリモートコントロール操作に必要な表
示情報を表示する。キーマトリックス３は、操作者がリ
モートコントロール操作を行うためのキーを配列した操
作部である。ＣＰＵ４は、キースキャンを行ってキーマ
トリックス３のキー操作入力を取り込み、上記表示情報
とリモートコントロール操作に関する制御情報を作成す
る。キャラクタジェネレータ５は、ＣＰＵ４からの表示
情報をビデオ画像にスーパーインポーズするためのキャ
ラクタに変換する。エンコーダ６は、ＣＰＵ４からの制
御情報を符号化して赤外線信号送信部７へ出力する。赤
外線信号送信部７は、エンコーダ６で符号化された制御
情報を赤外線信号に変換して外部（ビデオカメラ等）へ
送信する。
【０００９】以上のような構成の一実施例の動作および
作用を述べる。
【００１０】本実施例においては、リモートコントロー
ラの表示部分としてＬＣＤディスプレイ２を持つ。ビデ
オカメラ等からのビデオ信号は、赤外線信号として、赤
外線信号受信部１でワイヤレスで受信し、これをＬＣＤ
ディスプレイ２の画面に逐次表示するとともに、ビデオ
カメラ等のリモートコントロール操作に必要なモード表
示や各種の設定情報の表示等の多種多様な表示情報はＣ
ＰＵ４が作成し、キャラクタジェネレータ５を介してＬ
ＣＤディスプレイ２の画面上にスーパーインポーズして
表示する。リモートコントローラの操作者は、上記で表
示されたビデオ画像および表示情報を参照し結果を確認
しながら、キーマトリックス３のキーを操作してビデオ
カメラ等のリモートコントロール操作を行う。ＣＰＵ４
は、キースキャン等によりそのキー操作入力を取り込
み、ビデオカメラ等に対する制御情報を作成する。この
制御情報は、エンコーダ６で符号化され、赤外線信号送
信部７から赤外線信号としてビデオカメラ等へワイヤレ
スで送信される。
【００１１】このように、リモートコントローラの画面
上に表示情報とともにビデオカメラ等の操作結果である
ビデオ画像を表示することにより、ビューファインダの
ビデオ画像をリアルタイムでモニタすることができ、リ
モートコントロール操作で遠隔撮影することが簡単に行
えるようになる。すなわち、ビデオカメラ等では、例え
ば雲台等をリモートコントロール操作した結果の映像を
モニタすることができるようになり、意図したとおりの
アングルでの遠隔撮影を行うことが可能になる。また、
ビデオカメラ等に備えてあるズーム機能やホワイトバラ
ンス調整機能をリモートコントローラで操作すること
で、意図した画角や色バランスで遠隔撮影ができるよう
になる。さらに、ＬＣＤディスプレイ２の採用により多
種多様な表示が可能になり、表示情報とともに制御情報
の情報量が増えて多機能なリモートコントロール操作が
実現できる。例えば、ビデオプロジェクタの自動調整に
応用した場合には、ビデオカメラのビデオ画像を表示し
て、カーソル等の位置や移動量を指定し、画面等の補正
等の指示を容易にすることができる。
【００１２】なお、本発明はワイヤレスによらず、ワイ
ヤードでビデオ信号の入力や制御情報の出力を行っても
良い。また、外部からのビデオ信号だけでなく、リモー
トコントローラにメモリ等を内蔵し、ＣＰＵ４等で画像
処理してビデオ画像を表示することもできる。さらに、
外部からのビデオ信号入力は複数であっても良く、これ
らをＣＰＵ４で例えば画像編集するなどして、ピクチャ
イン ピクチャ表示を行うこともできる。このように
本発明は、その主旨に沿って種々に応用され、種々の実
施態様を取り得るものである。

【発明の効果】以上の説明で明らかなように、本発明の
ビデオモニタ付リモートコントローラによれば、撮像装
置の操作結果としての映像を表示する機能を有し、それ
をリアルタイムでモニタすることができるため、撮像装
置を用いてのリモートコントロール操作による遠隔撮影
が可能になるとともに、情報量が非常に増える結果、多
機能化が可能になる。

    (57)【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 【請求項１】 ワイヤレスもしくはワイヤードで外部の
    撮像装置から少なくとも該撮像装置の撮像した映像信号
    を受信する信号受信部と、 前記映像信号に基づく画像と共に前記撮像装置の遠隔操
    作に係る情報を表示する画像表示部と、 前記遠隔操作用のキーを有する操作部と、 前記操作部のキー入力に対応する表示情報および遠隔操
    作の制御情報を生成する制御部と、前記制御部で生成した 前記制御情報をワイヤレスもしく
    はワイヤードで前記撮像装置に送信する信号送信部とを
    備え、 前記画像表示部には、前記制御部で生成した前記表示情
    報が、前記信号送信部から送信された制御情報によって
    制御された前記撮像装置からの前記映像信号に基づく画
    像に重畳して表示されることを特徴とするリモートコン
    トローラ。
