一方、後輪21は、タイヤを保持する後ホイール21aの後輪軸21bを断面略コ字形状の後ホルダー部21cの下端側に回転自在に支持させてある。
後フレーム22は、突出部22bの先端部22c内に円筒状で旋回自在な後軸部22dを有し、この後軸部22dと後ホルダー部21cの上端側を固定連結してあることで、後輪21が後フレーム22に旋回可能に支持される。
ブレーキ装置23は、図4に示すように後ホルダー部21c内にブレーキ装置の装置軸23bを回転自在に支持させてあり、ブレーキ装置23の一端側がワイヤ17に引っ張られることで、他端側で下方に突出した押圧部23aが後輪21を押圧する。
後輪21と後フレーム22とは、図2(a)に示すように歩行車1の前進時において、側面視における後フレーム部22aの延在線B上におよそ後輪21が位置するように、後輪軸21bと後軸部22dの前後位置をずらして配設してある。
この場合、図2(b)、図3(b)に示すように歩行車1の後進時には、後軸部22dが旋回して後輪21(後輪軸21b)がユーザにより近くなる。
これにより、歩行車1の前進時には、進行方向側の前輪11がユーザに近くなるとともに、側面視で後フレーム部22aの延在線B上におよそ位置する後輪21が追随しやすく、歩行車1を小さな力で前進できる。
