Abstract
Description
本発明の開示内容は、一般に、多種多様の用途において使用するための、誘導体化されたポリアミンを含有する塗料に関する。
外部表面上での高品質の耐性塗膜の形成は、数々の難題を投げかける。とりわけ、外部表面上での塗膜は、典型的には、塗布および乾燥中、自然の力に晒されたままである。結果として、塗料の塗布および乾燥中の耐候試験条件は、外部塗膜の品質に影響を与えうる。殊に、塗料の塗布中および/または塗布後の降雨は、幾つかの塗膜または全ての塗膜を洗い流す可能性があり、結果として、塗膜の欠陥をまねく。
アニオン的に安定化されたコポリマー、誘導体化されたポリアミンおよび揮発性塩基を含む速硬化性の水性塗料が開示されている。塗膜は、表面に対して塗布時に速硬化時間を示す。さらに、前記塗料は、実質的に耐候試験下で黄変せず、かつ多種多様な外部用途のために、十分な破断点伸びを含めて、適当な物理的性質を示す。
本明細書中で使用されるように、“(メタ)アクリレートモノマー”の用語は、アクリレートモノマー、メタクリレートモノマー、ジアクリレートモノマーおよびジメタクリレートモノマーを含む。
(i)1つ以上の(メタ)アクリレートモノマー;
(ii)1つ以上のカルボン酸含有モノマー;
(iii)任意に、1つ以上のアセトアセトキシモノマー;
(iv)任意に、1つ以上の燐含有モノマー;および
(v)任意に、モノマー(i)、(ii)、(iii)および(iv)を除いた1つ以上のさらなるエチレン性不飽和モノマー
を含む。

(i)ブチルアクリレート55〜75質量%、
(ii)2−エチルヘキシルアクリレート0〜25質量%、
(iii)スチレン10〜35質量%、
(iv)カルボン酸含有モノマー0質量%を上回り、5質量%まで、
アクリルアミド0〜5質量%、
(vi)アセトアセトキシモノマー0〜5質量%および
(vii)燐含有モノマー0〜5質量%
から誘導された、アクリルをベースとするコポリマーを含む。
例1:ポリエチレンイミン硬化剤を含有する組成物
アニオン的に安定化された、アクリルをベースとするコポリマー(Tg=−32℃)および2つの異なるポリエチレンイミン(PEI−1、MW=1300ダルトン;PEI−2、MW=2000ダルトン)を含有する弾性塗料を下記のように製造した。
水37g、Pigment Disperser N2.4g(BASF社)、プロピレングリコール2.0g、BYK 035消泡剤2.4g(BYK社)、Lutensol TDA 8 1.0g(BASF社)、Kronos 2310 60.7g(Kronos,Inc.社)、OMYACARB UFT−FL43.0g(Omya社)、ATOMITE32.2g(Imerys社)、DURAMITE118.4g(Imerys社)およびPROXEL DB20殺生剤1.2g(Arch Chem.社)を均一になるまで混合した。
前記調合物を、30ミル(約762μm)の厚さの塗膜として、PGT Co.社製#2ドローダウンウェルを用いて黒のラネッタ(lanetta)紙上に塗布した。前記塗料をドローダウンした直後に、20分間のタイマーの設定を開始した。20分間の終了が近づいたときに、塗布されたパネルを45°の角度に保持された台の上に置く。このパネルの直ぐ上にビュレットをセットアップする。ビュレットの先端をパネルの表面から10インチ(約25.4cm)の距離で設定する。20分の乾燥時間後、脱イオン水を塗布されたパネル上に滴下する。全部で5mlの脱イオン水を約1分間にわたって前記パネル上に滴下する。塗膜を2時間にわたり20分間隔で試験する。2時間の終了時に、そのつどの間隔での塗膜の完全性を0%から100%までの尺度で目視的に評価する。0%は、耐水性がないことを示し、他方で、100%は、塗膜表面の損傷がなくかつ塗料の流出がないことを示す。これにより、100%の等級に基づく試験体のための硬化時間が証明される。
14日間の乾燥時間後、塗膜引張強さおよび塗膜破断点伸びを、ASTM D−6083に従って測定した。
アニオン的に安定化された、アクリルをベースとするコポリマー(Tg=−32℃)および2つの異なるポリエチレンイミン(PEI−1、MW=1300ダルトン;PEI−2、MW=2000ダルトン)を含有する塗料から形成された塗膜の塗膜引張強さ、塗膜破断点伸びおよびシミュレートされた塗膜耐降雨性が第1表中に示されている。
2つの異なる、アニオン的に安定化された、アクリルをベースとするコポリマー(アクリル−1:Tg=−32℃;アクリル−2:Tg=−28℃)の一方およびエトキシル化ポリエチレンイミンを含有する弾性塗料を下記のように製造した。

2つの異なる、アニオン的に安定化された、アクリルをベースとするコポリマー(アクリル−1:Tg=−32℃;アクリル−2:Tg=−28℃)の一方およびエトキシル化ポリエチレンイミン(APEI)を含有する塗料から形成された塗膜の塗膜引張強さ、塗膜破断点伸びおよびシミュレートされた塗膜耐降雨性は、第2表中に示されている。

- 水性組成物であって、
(a)アニオン的に安定化されたコポリマー;
(b)誘導体化されたポリアミン;および
(c)揮発性塩基
を含む、前記水性組成物。 - 前記の誘導体化されたポリアミンがアルコキシル化ポリアルキレンイミン、アルコキシル化ポリビニルアミンまたはこれらの組合せである、請求項1記載の組成物。
- 前記のアニオン的に安定化されたコポリマーが−70℃〜25℃のTgを有する、請求項1または2記載の組成物。
