Abstract
Description
本特許非仮出願は、米国特許法第120条に基づく、米国特許出願第13/097,891号「Tissue Thickness Compensator For A Surgical Stapler Comprising An Adjustable Anvil」(2011年9月29日出願)の一部継続出願であり、これは、米国特許法第120条に基づく、米国特許出願第12/894,377号「Selectively Orientable Implantable Fastener Cartridge」(2010年9月30日出願)の一部継続出願であり、これらの開示の全体が参照により本明細書に組み込まれる。

基部と、
前記基部から延出する第1脚部と、
該基部から延出する第2脚部と、を備え、前記締結具がその発射済み位置へと移動する際、前記第1脚部及び前記第2脚部が、前記基部に向かって折れ曲がるように構成され、
前記締結具がその発射済み位置へと移動する際に、前記基部と、前記第1脚部及び前記第2脚部のうち少なくとも一方との間に、前記不織布コンペンセーターの一部分を、前記締結具が捕捉する、実施形態1又は2に記載の締結具カートリッジアセンブリ。

前記支持部分の少なくとも一部分を通って延在するスロットと、
該スロット内を並進するよう構成された発射部材と、を更に備え、前記発射部材が並進する際に、前記発射部材が前記締結具の前記基部に係合するよう構成され、これによって前記締結具が前記締結具空洞から発射される、実施形態3に記載の締結具カートリッジアセンブリ。
5.前記不織布コンペンセーターが、接着剤で、前記支持部分のデッキに取り外し可能に取り付けられている、実施形態1〜4のいずれか一項に記載の締結具カートリッジアセンブリ。
6.前記ばね繊維が、前記不織布コンペンセーター全体にわたって不規則に分散され、かつ不規則な向きになっている、実施形態1〜5のいずれか一項に記載の締結具カートリッジアセンブリ。
7.前記不織布コンペンセーターが複数の非ばね繊維を含む、実施形態1〜6のいずれか一項に記載の締結具カートリッジアセンブリ。
8.前記ばね繊維が合成生体吸収性材料を含む、実施形態1〜7のいずれか一項に記載の締結具カートリッジアセンブリ。
9.前記ばね繊維が、ポリ(ジオキサノン)(PDO)、ポリ乳酸(PLA)、ポリグリコール酸(PGA)、ポリカプロラクトン(PCL)、ポリカーボネート、及びこれらのコポリマーを含む群から選択される材料を含む、実施形態1〜8のいずれか一項に記載の締結具カートリッジアセンブリ。

第1本体部分及び第2本体部分を含む本体であって、前記第1本体部分は締結具空洞を備え、前記第2本体部分は圧縮可能部分を備え、前記圧縮可能部分は全体に分散された複数のばね繊維を含み、かつ、前記ばね繊維は少なくとも部分的に弾力性である、本体と、
締結具であって、前記締結具の各々が、前記第1本体部分の前記締結具空洞と一列に揃っている、締結具と、を含む、締結具カートリッジ。
13.少なくとも1つの締結具が初期位置と発射済み位置との間で移動可能であり、かつ、前記締結具がその発射済み位置へと移動する際、前記圧縮可能部分の一部分を圧縮するように構成される、実施形態12に記載の締結具カートリッジ。

前記締結具カートリッジと前記アンビルの中間に配置される不織布コンペンセーターと、を備え、前記不織布コンペンセーターが、全体に分散された複数のばね繊維を含み、かつ、前記ばね繊維が少なくとも部分的に弾力性である、エンドエフェクタアセンブリ。
17.前記不織布コンペンセーターが、前記締結具カートリッジと前記アンビルのうち少なくとも一方に解放可能に固定され、前期不織布コンペンセーターが不織布材料を含む、実施形態16に記載のエンドエフェクタアセンブリ。
18.前記締結具がその初期位置から発射済み位置へと移動可能であり、かつ、前期締結具がその発射済み位置へと移動する際、前記締結具が前記不織布コンペンセーターの一部分を圧縮するように構成される、実施形態17に記載のエンドエフェクタアセンブリ。

(1) 外科用器具の締結具カートリッジアセンブリであって、
締結具空洞を備える支持部分と、
前記支持部分に対して配置される不織布コンペンセーターであって、全体にわたって分散された複数のばね繊維を含む、不織布コンペンセーターと、
初期位置と発射済み位置の間で移動可能な締結具であって、前記締結具がその初期位置にあるときに前記締結具が少なくとも部分的に前記締結具空洞内に配置され、かつ、前記締結具がその初期位置とその発射済み位置との間を移動するときに、前記締結具が前記不織布コンペンセーターを圧縮するように構成されている、締結具と、を備える、締結具カートリッジアセンブリ。
(2) 少なくとも1つのばね繊維が弾力性材料を含み、かつ、前記締結具が前記不織布コンペンセーターを圧縮するときに前記ばね繊維が変形される、実施態様1に記載の締結具カートリッジアセンブリ。
(3) 前記締結具が、
基部と、
前記基部から延出する第1脚部と、
該基部から延出する第2脚部と、を備え、前記締結具がその発射済み位置へと移動する際、前記第1脚部及び前記第2脚部が、前記基部に向かって折れ曲がるように構成され、
前記締結具がその発射済み位置へと移動する際に、前記基部と、前記第1脚部及び前記第2脚部のうち少なくとも一方との間に、前記不織布コンペンセーターの一部分を、前記締結具が捕捉する、実施態様1又は2に記載の締結具カートリッジアセンブリ。
(4) 前記支持部分の少なくとも一部分を通って延在するスロットと、
該スロット内を並進するよう構成された発射部材と、を更に備え、前記発射部材が並進する際に、前記発射部材が前記締結具の前記基部に係合するよう構成され、これによって前記締結具が前記締結具空洞から発射される、実施態様3に記載の締結具カートリッジアセンブリ。
(5) 前記不織布コンペンセーターが、接着剤で、前記支持部分のデッキに取り外し可能に取り付けられている、実施態様1〜4のいずれかに記載の締結具カートリッジアセンブリ。
(7) 前記不織布コンペンセーターが複数の非ばね繊維を含む、実施態様1〜6のいずれかに記載の締結具カートリッジアセンブリ。
(8) 前記ばね繊維が合成生体吸収性材料を含む、実施態様1〜7のいずれかに記載の締結具カートリッジアセンブリ。
(9) 前記ばね繊維が、ポリ(ジオキサノン)(PDO)、ポリ乳酸(PLA)、ポリグリコール酸(PGA)、ポリカプロラクトン(PCL)、ポリカーボネート、及びこれらのコポリマーを含む群から選択される材料を含む、実施態様1〜8のいずれかに記載の締結具カートリッジアセンブリ。
(10) 前記ばね繊維が、実質的にコイル状の形状を保持するように熱成形される、実施態様1〜9のいずれかに記載の締結具カートリッジアセンブリ。
(12) 外科用器具の締結具カートリッジであって、
第1本体部分及び第2本体部分を含む本体であって、前記第1本体部分は締結具空洞を備え、前記第2本体部分は圧縮可能部分を備え、前記圧縮可能部分は全体に分散された複数のばね繊維を含み、かつ、前記ばね繊維は少なくとも部分的に弾力性である、本体と、
締結具であって、前記締結具の各々が、前記第1本体部分の前記締結具空洞と一列に揃っている、締結具と、を含む、締結具カートリッジ。
(13) 少なくとも1つの締結具が初期位置と発射済み位置との間で移動可能であり、かつ、前記締結具がその発射済み位置へと移動する際、前記締結具が前記圧縮可能部分の一部分を圧縮するように構成される、実施態様12に記載の締結具カートリッジ。
(14) 前記圧縮可能部分が、均質な吸収性ポリマーマトリックスを含む、実施態様13に記載の締結具カートリッジ。
(15) 前記第1本体部分の少なくとも一部分を通って延在するスロットと、
前記スロット内を並進するよう構成された発射部材と、を更に備え、前記発射部材が並進する際に、前記発射部材が少なくとも1つの締結具に係合するように構成され、これによって前記発射部材が前記少なくとも1つの締結具を前記第1本体部分から発射する、実施態様12〜14のいずれかに記載の締結具カートリッジ。
アンビルと、
締結具カートリッジであって、
締結具空洞を含むカートリッジ本体と、
締結具と、を備え、前記締結具が初期位置にあるときに、前記締結具が前記締結具空洞内に少なくとも部分的に配置されている、締結具カートリッジと、
前記締結具カートリッジと前記アンビルの中間に配置される不織布コンペンセーターと、を備え、前記不織布コンペンセーターが、全体に分散された複数のばね繊維を含み、かつ、前記ばね繊維が少なくとも部分的に弾力性である、エンドエフェクタアセンブリ。
(17) 前記不織布コンペンセーターが、前記締結具カートリッジと前記アンビルのうち少なくとも一方に解放可能に固定され、前記不織布コンペンセーターが不織布材料を含む、実施態様16に記載のエンドエフェクタアセンブリ。
(18) 前記締結具がその初期位置から発射済み位置へと移動可能であり、かつ、前記締結具がその発射済み位置へと移動する際、前記締結具が前記不織布コンペンセーターの一部分を圧縮するように構成される、実施態様17に記載のエンドエフェクタアセンブリ。
(19) 前記アンビルが、組織接触表面内に形成ポケットを備え、かつ、前記形成ポケットは、前記締結具がその初期位置からその発射済み位置へと移動する際に前記締結具を変形させる、実施態様18に記載のエンドエフェクタアセンブリ。
(20) 前記締結具が前記不織布コンペンセーターの前記一部分を圧縮する際、前記不織布コンペンセーターが、前記エンドエフェクタアセンブリから離脱するように構成される、実施態様18又は19に記載のエンドエフェクタアセンブリ。
Claims (20)
- 外科用器具の締結具カートリッジアセンブリであって、
締結具空洞を備える支持部分と、
前記支持部分に対して配置される不織布コンペンセーターであって、全体にわたって分散された複数のばね繊維を含む、不織布コンペンセーターと、
初期位置と発射済み位置の間で移動可能な締結具であって、前記締結具がその初期位置にあるときに前記締結具が少なくとも部分的に前記締結具空洞内に配置され、かつ、前記締結具がその初期位置とその発射済み位置との間を移動するときに、前記締結具が前記不織布コンペンセーターを圧縮するように構成されている、締結具と、を備える、締結具カートリッジアセンブリ。 - 少なくとも1つのばね繊維が弾力性材料を含み、かつ、前記締結具が前記不織布コンペンセーターを圧縮するときに前記ばね繊維が変形される、請求項1に記載の締結具カートリッジアセンブリ。
- 前記締結具が、
基部と、
前記基部から延出する第1脚部と、
該基部から延出する第2脚部と、を備え、前記締結具がその発射済み位置へと移動する際、前記第1脚部及び前記第2脚部が、前記基部に向かって折れ曲がるように構成され、
前記締結具がその発射済み位置へと移動する際に、前記基部と、前記第1脚部及び前記第2脚部のうち少なくとも一方との間に、前記不織布コンペンセーターの一部分を、前記締結具が捕捉する、請求項1又は2に記載の締結具カートリッジアセンブリ。 - 前記支持部分の少なくとも一部分を通って延在するスロットと、
該スロット内を並進するよう構成された発射部材と、を更に備え、前記発射部材が並進する際に、前記発射部材が前記締結具の前記基部に係合するよう構成され、これによって前記締結具が前記締結具空洞から発射される、請求項3に記載の締結具カートリッジアセンブリ。 - 前記不織布コンペンセーターが、接着剤で、前記支持部分のデッキに取り外し可能に取り付けられている、請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載の締結具カートリッジアセンブリ。
- 前記ばね繊維が、前記不織布コンペンセーター全体にわたって不規則に分散され、かつ不規則な向きになっている、請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載の締結具カートリッジアセンブリ。
- 前記不織布コンペンセーターが複数の非ばね繊維を含む、請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載の締結具カートリッジアセンブリ。
- 前記ばね繊維が合成生体吸収性材料を含む、請求項1〜7のいずれか一項に記載の締結具カートリッジアセンブリ。
- 前記ばね繊維が、ポリ(ジオキサノン)(PDO)、ポリ乳酸(PLA)、ポリグリコール酸(PGA)、ポリカプロラクトン(PCL)、ポリカーボネート、及びこれらのコポリマーを含む群から選択される材料を含む、請求項1〜8のいずれか一項に記載の締結具カートリッジアセンブリ。
- 前記ばね繊維が、実質的にコイル状の形状を保持するように熱成形される、請求項1〜9のいずれか一項に記載の締結具カートリッジアセンブリ。
- 前記不織布コンペンセーターがニードルパンチされており、かつ止血材料を含む、請求項1〜10のいずれか一項に記載の締結具カートリッジアセンブリ。
- 外科用器具の締結具カートリッジであって、
第1本体部分及び第2本体部分を含む本体であって、前記第1本体部分は締結具空洞を備え、前記第2本体部分は圧縮可能部分を備え、前記圧縮可能部分は全体に分散された複数のばね繊維を含み、かつ、前記ばね繊維は少なくとも部分的に弾力性である、本体と、
締結具であって、前記締結具の各々が、前記第1本体部分の前記締結具空洞と一列に揃っている、締結具と、を含む、締結具カートリッジ。 - 少なくとも1つの締結具が初期位置と発射済み位置との間で移動可能であり、かつ、前記締結具がその発射済み位置へと移動する際、前記締結具が前記圧縮可能部分の一部分を圧縮するように構成される、請求項12に記載の締結具カートリッジ。
- 前記圧縮可能部分が、均質な吸収性ポリマーマトリックスを含む、請求項13に記載の締結具カートリッジ。
- 前記第1本体部分の少なくとも一部分を通って延在するスロットと、
前記スロット内を並進するよう構成された発射部材と、を更に備え、前記発射部材が並進する際に、前記発射部材が少なくとも1つの締結具に係合するように構成され、これによって前記発射部材が前記少なくとも1つの締結具を前記第1本体部分から発射する、請求項12〜14のいずれか一項に記載の締結具カートリッジ。 - 外科用器具のエンドエフェクタアセンブリであって、
アンビルと、
締結具カートリッジであって、
締結具空洞を含むカートリッジ本体と、
締結具と、を備え、前記締結具が初期位置にあるときに、前記締結具が前記締結具空洞内に少なくとも部分的に配置されている、締結具カートリッジと、
前記締結具カートリッジと前記アンビルの中間に配置される不織布コンペンセーターと、を備え、前記不織布コンペンセーターが、全体に分散された複数のばね繊維を含み、かつ、前記ばね繊維が少なくとも部分的に弾力性である、エンドエフェクタアセンブリ。 - 前記不織布コンペンセーターが、前記締結具カートリッジと前記アンビルのうち少なくとも一方に解放可能に固定され、前記不織布コンペンセーターが不織布材料を含む、請求項16に記載のエンドエフェクタアセンブリ。
- 前記締結具がその初期位置から発射済み位置へと移動可能であり、かつ、前記締結具がその発射済み位置へと移動する際、前記締結具が前記不織布コンペンセーターの一部分を圧縮するように構成される、請求項17に記載のエンドエフェクタアセンブリ。
- 前記アンビルが、組織接触表面内に形成ポケットを備え、かつ、前記形成ポケットは、前記締結具がその初期位置からその発射済み位置へと移動する際に前記締結具を変形させる、請求項18に記載のエンドエフェクタアセンブリ。
- 前記締結具が前記不織布コンペンセーターの前記一部分を圧縮する際、前記不織布コンペンセーターが、前記エンドエフェクタアセンブリから離脱するように構成される、請求項18又は19に記載のエンドエフェクタアセンブリ。
