Description
本願は、米国特許法第119条(e)項に基づき、2008年11月10日に出願した米国特許仮出願第61/193248号及び2009年10月22日に出願した米国特許仮出願第61/253893号の利益を主張し、2009年11月10日に出願した2つのPCT出願(代理人参照番号47408及び47574)に関係し、それらの開示内容は参照として本明細書中に組み入れられる。
本願は、その一部の実施形態では、一般的に負荷における電磁(EM)エネルギの散逸に関係し、特に限定されないが解凍、加熱、および/または調理のために例えばマイクロ波およびUHFエネルギを使用するRF加熱に関係する。

結果的に得られたRCスペクトルを測定するステップと、
測定されたRCスペクトルを考慮して負荷の現在の散逸情報を推定するステップと、
散逸情報に応じて照射スペクトルの周波数を変更するステップであって、対応する周波数が伝達されるそれぞれの期間を変化させることによって、異なる周波数で異なる量のエネルギを伝達することを含む変更ステップと、
を含むことができる。
a.負荷の存在下で複数の周波数で共振させるために、エネルギをキャビティに伝達するためのエネルギ供給機能と、
b.対応する周波数が伝達されるそれぞれの期間を変化させるためのコントローラ機能と、
を備えた、負荷に照射するための装置を提供する。
最後に、時々、2つ以上のuplおよびbplを使用することができる。
FTPを選択するための例示的方法:
dr(f)は、所定の周波数での散逸比率であり、0と1の間の潜在値を有し、測定された電力に基づき、かつ当該技術分野で知られるように測定されたS−パラメータを使用して、方程式1に示す通り計算されることができる。
本発明の一部の例示的実施形態では、基本時間ステップを選択する(以下btsという(例えば10ナノ秒))。基本時間ステップは通常、各周波数の伝達の時間を制御するコントローラの特徴であり、伝達周波数間の時間単位による最大分解能を定義し、ttd(f)は、bts単位で測定されたtpl(f)を伝達するために必要な時間を定義する数値である。ttd(f)は次の通り計算することができる。
例示的説明は、2つの伝達周波数f1およびf2、ならびに装置の最大伝達電力Pmaximum=P1>P2に基づく。伝達電力の調整に基づく選択された電力移送プロトコルに従って、P1はf1で、かつP2はf2で、各々固定期間tに伝達される。そのような場合、E1およびE2を伝達するために使用される総時間は2tである。
以下の実施例では、使用した装置は、基本的に上記WO07/096878(‘878)の実施形態に従って構成されかつ作動する、800〜1000MHzの作業帯域を持つ900ワットの装置であった。
負荷の全ての部分に本質的に同量のエネルギを提供するのに適したプロトコルによって、水道水(500グラム)を加熱した。各実験で、合計して60kJを負荷(水および水を保持するボウル)に伝達した。
冷凍鶏胸肉(骨無しおよび皮無し;冷凍する前に塊状に束ねられた)を約−18℃の従来のレストランの冷凍庫から取り出し、US61/193248および同時に出願した代理人生理番号47408を有する国際PCT出願の実施形態に従って異なる周波数で異なる量のエネルギを伝達する、解凍用に意図されたプロトコルを使用して加熱した。
Claims (23)
- 負荷に照射する方法であって、
異なる量のエネルギを異なる周波数で、対応する周波数が伝達されるそれぞれの期間を少なくとも変化させることによって提供することを含む方法。 - 前記負荷に照射することは共振キャビティ内で実行される、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記負荷に照射することは、前記負荷で予め定められたエネルギ散逸パターンを得るために制御される、請求項1または2に記載の方法。
- 前記負荷に照射することは、固定電力伝達レベルで実行される、請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 前記負荷に照射することは、伝達周波数の各々に対して最大電力伝達レベルでそれぞれ実行される、請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 前記負荷に照射することは、前記異なる周波数の各々で提供されるエネルギの最大量を制限するために制御される、請求項1〜5のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 前記負荷に照射することは、ある伝達期間に前記異なる周波数で提供されるエネルギの全体量を制限するために制御される、請求項1〜6のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 前記伝達期間は、伝達周期を含む、請求項7に記載の方法。
- 前記負荷に照射することは、前記周波数が伝達される全体期間を制限するために制御される、請求項1〜8のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 前記負荷に照射することは、前記伝達周波数の各々で可能な電力を最大にするために制御される、請求項1〜9のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 少なくとも2つの周波数が少なくとも2つの異なる非零電力で伝達される、請求項1〜10のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 前記照射スペクトルの周波数を前記負荷に照射するステップと、
得られた反射合成スペクトル(RCスペクトル)を測定するステップと、
前記RCスペクトルを考慮して前記負荷の現在の散逸情報を推測するステップと、
前記散逸情報に応じて照射スペクトルの周波数を設定するステップであって、対応する周波数が伝達されるそれぞれの期間を変化させることによって、異なる周波数で異なる量のエネルギを伝達することを含むステップと、
を含む、請求項1〜11のいずれかに記載の方法。 - エネルギが前記負荷によって吸収されるように、前記負荷に前記照射スペクトルの周波数を照射するステップと、
得られたRCスペクトルを測定するステップと、
前記測定されたRCスペクトルを考慮して前記負荷の現在の散逸情報を推定するステップと、
前記散逸情報に応じて照射スペクトルの周波数を変更するステップであって、対応する周波数が伝達されるそれぞれの期間を変化させることによって、異なる周波数で異なる量のエネルギを伝達することを含むステップと、
を含む、請求項1〜12のいずれかに記載の方法。 - 前記周波数は、デューティサイクルを形成するように連続的に配列される、請求項1〜13のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 前記デューティサイクルを繰返し実行するステップをさらに含む、請求項14に記載の方法。
- 前記周波数は前記デューティサイクル内で変化する、請求項15に記載の方法。
- それぞれの照射周波数による前記負荷の照射の全体的期間を変動させるように、前記デューティサイクルの繰返しに対し周波数のオンまたはオフを差動的に切り替えることを含む、請求項14に記載の方法。
- 前記差動的切り替えは、前記サイクルの一部で周波数をオフに切り替えるか、または前記サイクルの一部でより低い電力に切り替えることを含む、請求項17に記載の方法。
- 負荷に照射スペクトルの周波数を照射するための方法であって、負荷が前記負荷のエネルギ散逸状態の関数として変化する散逸情報を有し、該方法が散逸情報の前記変化に応じて照射スペクトルの周波数を変更するステップを含み、前記変更ステップが、対応する周波数を伝達するそれぞれの期間を変化させることを含む方法。
- a.前記負荷の存在下で複数の周波数で共振させるために、エネルギをキャビティに伝達するためのエネルギ供給機能と、

- 前記コントローラは、前記照射スペクトルの周波数を前記それぞれの期間に従って前記負荷に照射し、得られた反射合成スペクトル(RCスペクトル)を測定し、前記RCスペクトルを考慮して前記負荷の現在の散逸情報を推定し、かつ前記散逸情報に応じて照射スペクトルの周波数を設定するように構成される、請求項20に記載の装置。
- 前記コントローラは、前記周波数のデューティサイクルの繰返しに対し周波数のオンまたはオフを差動的に切り替え、それによって前記負荷の前記照射においてそれぞれの周波数の全体的期間を変化させるように構成される、請求項20に記載の装置。
