Description
本発明は、「Fuel Manifold for Axially Staged Combustion System」と題する米国仮出願第60/972,405号に対する優先権を主張するものである。本発明は、同様に、「Apparatus and Method for Controlling the Secondary Injection of Fuel」と題する米国仮出願第60/972,395号に対する優先権を主張する、2008年8月20日に出願の「Apparatus and Method for Controlling the Secondary Injection of Fuel」と題する米国特許出願第12/194,611号の一部継続出願でもある。これら上述の出願は本書において引用例として援用される。
本発明の開発は、米国エネルギ省が発注した契約第DE−FC26−05NT42644号によって部分的に支援されている。従って、米国政府は本発明に一定の権利を有するものとする。

Claims (15)
- 二次燃料供給システムであって、
二次燃焼ゾーンを囲む細長い境界壁を有し、一次燃焼ゾーンと燃焼機関タービンセクションを流体的につなぐようになっている細長い移行部と、
マニホルド内部と二次流体源を流体的につなぐようになっている吸込み口を具備し、前記境界壁と一体化して形成されたマニホルドと、
前記マニホルド内部と前記二次燃焼ゾーンを流体的につなぐ複数の噴射ノズルと、
非加速の二次流体流速が前記吸込み口の近くで示される前記二次流体流速の約60%未満になる前記マニホルド内の位置に配置された流れ加速領域と、
前記吸込み口の近くで示される前記二次流体流速の約65%〜120%のレベルまで前記加速領域内の流体流量を増すようになっている、前記流れ加速領域内に配置されたフロースリーブとを備え、
それによって前記マニホルドが剛性を増し、前記移行部によって生じる振動に耐性を示すようにし、前記フロースリーブが、流れ方向において前記吸込み口から離れた領域における二次流体冷却効率の損失を補償するようにしてなることを特徴とする、二次燃料供給システム。 - 前記二次流体が燃料であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記二次流体にさらに希釈剤が含まれることを特徴とする、請求項2に記載のシステム。
- 前記希釈剤が蒸気であることを特徴とする、請求項3に記載のシステム。
- 希釈剤が不活性ガスであることを特徴とする、請求項4に記載のシステム。
- 前記フロースリーブは、前記ノズルがそれを通って延びている開口を備えた阻止帯を有し、前記開口に、前記二次流体が前記ノズルの外部に沿って半径方向の外側に流れて、マニホルドの半径方向の内側境界から離れ、次に方向を変えて、前記ノズルに流入し、それを通過した後、前記マニホルドを出て、前記二次燃焼ゾーンに入り込むことができるようにしてなるサイズが付与されていることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記フロースリーブは、周方向の長さが約10度〜120度の範囲のスパンにわたって延びる周方向の弓状の鉢をなすことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- さらに、前記移行部境界壁内の前記マニホルドに近接した領域に配置された噴出冷却孔を備えることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記冷却孔が、一般に前記移行部境界壁に対して約5〜約45度の角度で配置されることを特徴とする、請求項8に記載のシステム。
- 前記マニホルドは、半径方向の外側カバーを有し、前記カバーは、動作中、熱応力を解放するようになっている少なくとも1つの周方向に延びるギャップを有してなることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記ノズルの少なくとも1つが前記マニホルドとねじ込み式に係合されることを特徴とする、請求項10に記載のシステム。
- 前記マニホルドカバーは、さらに、前記ノズルの少なくとも1つに触れることができるようにする少なくとも1つの取外し可能キャップを有することを特徴とする、請求項11に記載のシステム。
- 燃焼器であって、
燃料を含む第1の材料を燃焼させるための一次燃焼室と、
前記一次燃焼室の下流にあって、燃料を含む第2の材料を噴射するためのマニホルドを具備する移行部とを備え、前記マニホルドは、前記移行部の周辺部まわりに周方向に間隔をあけて配置された複数の噴射器を備えることを特徴とする、燃焼器。 - 前記マニホルドは、さらに複数のセグメントを有するカバーを備え、前記セグメントのそれぞれは、複数の噴射器を覆うように配置され、前記マニホルドのカバーの各隣接セグメント間にギャップが形成されることを特徴とする、請求項13に記載の燃焼室。
- 前記マニホルドは、さらに環状リングと、前記環状リング内に配置されたフロースリーブとを備え、前記環状リング内に配置された前記フロースリーブの領域において前記環状リングの断面積が縮小されるようになっていることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の燃焼室。
