これらには次のような問題点があった。
（イ）イスに取り付けたものは、浴室にイスが要るという事、そして、出したり片付けたり、そのイスを掃除したり、結構手間がかかる。

（ハ）壁に吸着させる方式のものは、その都度、壁の所迄、移動しなくてはいけないので、腰や足が悪い方には、立ったり座ったりが苦痛に思える。更に自分で体を動かさなければ洗えないのでは無理が生じ、誰もが使えるという訳にはいかない。
（ニ）スポンジ脱着棒式のものは、洗う部分を取り付けたりはずしたり手間がかかり、手の不自由な人や老眼鏡の使用者には面倒な作業だと思われる。
