(6)常温で殺虫効力を示す殺虫成分が、プロフルトリン、エムペントリン、メトフルトリン及びトランスフルトリンの中から選ばれる1種以上のピレスロイド系殺虫成分である(1)ないし(5)のいずれかに記載の飛翔害虫防除剤。

なお、飛翔害虫忌避成分としては、本発明9ないし13を参照して分かるように、ジャスミン油、ネロリ油、ペパーミント油、ベルガモット油、オレンジ油、ゼラニウム油、プチグレン油、レモン油、シトロネラ油、レモングラス油、シナモン油、ユーカリ油、タイム油からなる精油類、及びその組成成分であるシトラール、l−メントール、酢酸シトロネリル、シンナミックアルデヒド、テルピネオール、ノニルアルコール、cis−ジャスモン、チモール、リモネン、リナロール、1,8−シネオール、ゲラニオール、α-ピネンの中から選ばれる2種以上であることが好ましかった。
また、本発明1と14との対比から、殺虫成分と飛翔害虫忌避成分はそれぞれ別の保持体に含有させる方が効果的であるが、比較例4のように、殺虫成分として揮散性の乏しいフェノトリンを使用すると飛翔害虫忌避成分の揮散性に影響を及ぼし防除効果の低下を招くことも明らかとなった。
