Abstract
【解決手段】母材質の100%中に10%以上の酸化ナトリウムが含有されたソーダライムガラス製の透明ガラス発光菅11には、紫外線放電ランプが必要とする320〜340nmの波長で80%以上の透過率を得るものを使用する。発光管11は、例えば管径Dが38mm、管長Lが2650mmであり、発光管11にはアルゴンガス等の希ガスと一定量の水銀が封入されている。そして、発光管11の内側の表面には、300nm〜340nmの間に変換効率のピークを持つ紫外線発光型蛍光体を塗布する。これにより、320〜340nmの照度の向上を図ることができる。

Description
図1において、11は、320〜340nmの波長で80%以上の透過率が得られるNa2Oが10%以上含まれる廉価なソーダライムガラス製の透明ガラス発光管である。ソーダライムガラスを用いた発光管の透過率は、図2に示すように、340nm付近以上の波長で80%以上の透過率を得ることができる。

Claims (1)
- 透明ガラス発光菅と、
前記発光菅内に封入された始動用不活性ガスおよび水銀の封入物と、
前記発光管内に対向して配置された一対の放電電極と、
前記発光管内壁に塗布した水銀スペクトルである253.7nmを変換し、300nm〜340nmの波長に変換効率のピークを持つ蛍光体と、を具備し、
前記発光管は、母材質の100%中に10%以上の酸化ナトリウムが含有されたソーダライムガラス製であることを特徴とする紫外線放電ランプ。
